Not all superheros wear capes, my friend! I was 2 days in trying to set this sob up in my driveway, cursing ever having bought a pop up trailer when I found your video. 10 minutes later it was done. Thank you!
We had a 1963 or 64 Starcraft pop up. Easy as hell to put up. It was fairly big and slept 8 people. Dad took one of the tables and benches out and made a set of drawers on each end so we didnt have to live out of the suitcases. Around 2000, he sold the camper to someone for $50.00 . Nothing wrong with it he just wanted to get rid of it since he didn't use it anymore. My sister was pissed. She wanted the camper but thats what dad did, sold stuff rather than ask us kids if we wanted to buy it first. Oh and with 2 of us kids, we had it all set up within 10 minutes. =)
I am so glad that I found this video. I just bought a 2000 Starcraft and, though I have the manual, there are no pictures and the corrections were quite vague. I spent an hour trying to figure out how to do the supports for the beds! Ha! (Hey, I never claimed to be a smart man. Just a dashingly handsome one.)
This is nicely done! I'm picking up a Starcraft Pop-up this week from a used RV dealer. After seeing this video, I realize that they had no idea how to set the rig up properly (didn't know what those safety bars were for and they were missing some supports for the beds. I'm a lot more confident in my purchase now and will make sure to go through all of this in the driveway at home before I head out on the road! Thanks!
Great Video! Thank you for sharing. Very informative and detail. My Son just bought one, an older model 1976 but he’s excited to clean it up and renovate and take his kids out on a fun camping’s trip. After watching this video, I learned to appreciate how much work it is to …set up a pop up camper or any type of trailer. Hard Work… Pays Off… Again, Thank you for making this video. God Bless 🙏✝️🙏
Thanks for this man. I’ve looked at some fairly new coachman models that simplify a lot of this but seeing as I’m still in the market your video explains a lot of the nuances of older, simpler models. Thank you so much
Good job ...forgot the awning lol So what size generator if your off grid? Is that a marine battery you use but would it be needed if you have a generator? How much does this go for? Thanks jimmy
I Enjoyed your video and learned a lot. I just bought a 2009 star craft pop-up camper. I’m having an issue with the water draining out of the sink. It does not completely drain out. How do I get it to completely drain out? Also I do not have a stopper to hold the water in the sink. Is there a stopper for the sink?
wait... at 36:38 you claim the fridge is running, but at 34:53 you flipped the sink which disconnects the power switches to the fridge. does your fridge run separately from the cutoff switch?
So, the rear bed only has the 2 supports? The front has the U table thing plus the side supports? I had one of these campers I just sold and we only got it with the front frame, no additional supports, and the 2 folding bars for the rear bed...
There should be a thermostat by your fuse panel, on my rt 10 I turn on the propane and select a temperature then the heater will start. FYI once it reaches desired temp it does have a cool down time for the heater itself it runs for a minute or two with no heat it's by design.
Do you know how to get the water pump To work? Do you have to fill the water tank completely to build pressure? We recently bought this camper and cannot get the sink set up! Thank you!
No hot water heater? Seems a significant drawback of this model. Good video, however. Your cameraman could use some practice keeping the lease pointed where the action is! Thanks!!
It's across from the front door. You can see it around 49:55 to the left of the cups and dishes. Just forgets to point it out. The fridge can run off of propane or a normal electrical hookup.
I thought it was the best video I have found for this. Also, it is a bargain at $0.00. I appreciate someone taking time to share their experience. Have you posted any videos we can critique? BTW. Did you know you can speed up the playback up to 2X the normal speed?
