Hey guys welcome to part 5 in my tutorial series. We talk about unit composition and important things in protoss vs terran, zerg, and protoss. Please watch my other tutorials if you haven't yet.

Useful vids. The thing I was hoping to see is how to move a number of army control groups. Should I *number and A* every control group? It gets messy with my fingers

Super duper helpful, thanks a lot! ^^ What I missed though is what to do against air units: Mutalisks and late game Terran battlecruisers. Could you say something about that?

never been good at starcraft 1. have played it years ago and also recently. so far the most annoying things that i've found are: 1)When you leave your units in "hold" they DO hold there, don't help another unit being attacked very close to him. That's annoying, is there any command to hold the position but dont actually freeze in the ground?? i use hold since if i leave them free they can run away and split and a single unit can go chasing stupidly an enemy right into their base... alone. 2) When you set a route for attacking using the hotkey SHIFT+attack, groups can split since some of them see something "interesting to attack" but the others continue to the next shift target, then the group is split. 3)When a group of 12 units are being attacked, when you press attack on an area, you expect they all prioritize on the threats like the units that are attacking them or their partners, but instead, some of the members of the 12 unit group prefer to stay attacking pilons or supply depots instead of helping their colleagues that are actually under fire. this is the most annoying thing. 4)When playing against the ai, every ghost that I shoot immediately responds with a lockdown, every template I shoot immediately responds with a psyonic storm, with insane reaction speeds. 5)not to mention when dragoons, goliaths or tanks specially tend to mess around in the routes, you ask them to go from a to b, and only half of the group obeys, the others get desperated and go a to c and then b. 6)when scvs get stuck by the constructions they make, i think it's called "hitboxes" that are not symmetrical and differ from which point of view you are building. these are the reasons starcraft 1 always annoyed me, and i know it is a 23 year old game, but never could really enjoy this game.

can you do a terran and zerg macro, multi tasking and build orders?

13:16 reaver can make full damage under dark swarm. As well as DT, Zealots, Archon , psi storm. Dark storm do not work very well against Protoss. It is useful to cover lings run to close combat with dragoon..

Hon Keong Lee archon do not do full damage under dark swarm. Their splash is normal but their main target takes 25% which means ultralisks beat them bad under swarm. Melee units do full damage but usually Zerg has lurkers under swarm vs Protoss

Professor Protoss oh yeah, Archon only do splash damage under swarm. In modern PvZ very seldom to see ultralisk + lings combination. Even under dark swarm DT + psi storm will counter them pretty hard. Lurker under swarm only do OK against Protoss. Main reason is one storm to lurker do 120 damage and lurker only 125 HP. PVZ only the battle of Zealots + Dragoon with high Templar and reaver (DT) VS lings + Hydrak + lurker with defilier (ultralisk).

Really helpful video! So question about PvT. You mentioned that when terran get in a position where they have to come at you when you have more bases and/or gateways you'll never lose,which means that's a good position for protoss to be in. So what if terran brings a relatively big army,tank heavy,to your natural or main. What would you do in that situation? Cause this happens a lot to me,where the opponent just makes a huge army and comes right at me and I don't know what to do to handle that situation lol

It depends on the timing of the push. This is why observers are very important to keep near their army and factory count. Sometimes they'll do a push off 5 factories if you see it coming you can add more gates and a shuttle for zeal since it hits right around or before zeal speed finishes. If it's a later game 2-1 push hopefully you have your 4th up by then and made 4-5 gates there so you can flank from both sides. Shuttle is good here as well. If they are at your natural it's very difficult to deal with. So seeing it before they reach your natural you should have your army stationed to the side and flank with new units made and main army or counter attack to buy time

Yeah that makes sense,i'll make sure to use observers more. I tend to not use them much which is pretty bad but I'll definitely start using them more. That's probably why I get caught off-guard and lose a lot.Your videos give really good guidance on which units to use for what which is really helpful. Thanks man,and looking forward to more vids from you
