➤ Welcome to my survival island challenge series in Stardew Valley 1.5! This series is far different from a normal typical playthrough. I intend to make this playthrough feel a little more realistic, with a tense driven story all created and scripted by myself. With lots of role play elements and cinematic intros, each episode will have you hooked and wanting to know what comes next! All this whilst sticking to the challenging survival plot. Can we survive on this lonely sparse island without leaving the farm at all? Watch me day by day and find out!
RULES OF CHALLENGE 👇🏻
1) We cannot leave the island (farm) at all, for anything, NEVER!
2) If we DIE from combat, starvation or illness the series is over! (maybe) Oh and our animals can die to, if not cared for.
3) We have to upgrade our own tools! Every 2 levels in each skill allows us to upgrade a tool to it's next stage 2,4,6,8 (except from backpack, we can only upgrade this twice (first at lvl 5 and last at lvl 10)
Foraging Tools - AXE & BACKPACK
Farming Tools - WATERING CAN & HOE
Mining Tools - PICKAXE
Fishing Tools - ROD
Combat Tools - WEAPONS & BOOTS
4) We can eat one stardrop every 7 skill levels! (works out all 7 in total) this will still allow us to increase our energy bar.
4) The currency in this series is now called GODDESS COINS. We make these gold coins by placing offerings in the shipping bin for the harvest goddess who owns the entire island.
5) There will be no marriage, kids, pets, quests or community goals whatsoever. We are alone!
6) And finally, It is entirely up to us how me make our money, customise the island, and most of all, SURVIVE!

Fruit trees definitely seem like the intended use for that new area south of the farm. There even appears to be a path grid laid out so as to not block tree growth.

Maybe the mango tree that's being obstructed is already down there somewhere. Better keep an eye out for any trees that are different while clearing it.

Honestly the most inventive Stardew playthrough I've ever seen. I don't have to watch it to know it's good! That said, I'm going to watch the heck out of it.

How do you get stuff like the spring onions, cabbage, strawberries etc spawning in on your farm? I agree with the other comments that if you die, the series shouldn't end. You could either have the Goddess bring you back, as you hadn't completed the task She has brought you here for, or change the character and start again but keeping the building/items/tools of the previous one with Sharky's cousin, niece, nephew, long-lost twin, etc. You could even start up a graveyard somewhere on the island for all the deceased Sharkys.😂

I agree that it should not be a permadeath series. I like that idea of the Goddess bringing you back because you have not finished the task she brought you here for. And excuse this being 10 days after you posted the vid, real life has been crazy around my place.

i love all your content and this is absolutely my favorite series of yours (of anyones!) and even has awesome cinematic openings! yay! i downloaded some of the mods to try and recreate this as it's such a great scenario but very quickly realized how much customization work you did here - it's not just popping on a few mods and off ya go, it's very much out of my league. i have even more respect for your creation! that being said, if you could ever package a starter of this entire setup somehow it would be a big hit!

This is such an enjoyable series to watch... so different. I also would enjoy seeing you continue the beach farm series, but if I have to choose between the two, I choose this one. :-)

Yay! I love this series--you are very creative! (And I do very much enjoy your choice of music!) May I make a suggestion? If you manage to give the Goddess something she asks for, maybe you get an extra pigeon message for each one? If it's an orchard, you may be able to get fruit/nuts from the trees! XD How are you going to increase (upgrade) your inventory space? Maybe you can use that orchard area to cultivate trees? Either for wood or for fruit? Or maybe grow grass there for animal food? Very enjoyable episode!

Hello Sharky my dear! I am very new to modding, though I have been playing Stardew Valley quite a longtime. Your videos are so enjoyable, I felt that I wanted to try this survival. My problem is that I went down your mods list, but when I started playing, I had the beach farm house and the island was laid out as yours is, but my house is without a fireplace and it is not the trailer with a fireplace as yours is. I also can cross the bridge, it wasn't blocked as yours is. I didn't have the opening scene as you did with the ONE YEAR LATER showing. I just started the game in a beach house. I don't spawn the foraging items or cool new foods either. No Goddess as well, just regular shipping bin. Also, no cookout stove and no way to make them. So many of the mods worked beautifully right away, I added them all of the same exact same way. Again, I went down your list and added them to the Stardew mods file as shown in an old video of yours. Also, when the game loads, the little mods window pops up, though it doesn't show any conflicts, it acts as if it is acknowledging all of the added mods.I am so sorry to ask, I am no spring chicken in real life, I only just cook recipes on my YT channel though I love gaming and I have been subscribed to you for a very long time! LOL If you could help me out by addressing the mods and perhaps reasons they might not be working properly, I would be so very grateful to you! Thank you honey! I believe this series is my all time fave of your videos! :D I didn't mean to write you a book LOL

Pretty sure the bridges being blocked, the items for the Goddess Shrine, and the furniture inside the house, like the fireplace, were spawned in using CJB Item Spawner and placed manually. The intro and 'One Year Later' was just video editing and roleplaying. I'm trying to figure out the foraging items myself, so I can't help with that one though.😅 This list in the description doesn't seem to show all the mods Sharky's using, just some of the main ones.

I would sugguest using the botom place for maple and honey gathering later on. I also vote your allowed one death and can keep playing. can be like if you die once you only passed out the first time but if you die twice it is game.

The sign for the place with the trees said something about an orchard, so I'd imagine it would be for fruit trees so that would be a good purpose. Could probably place kegs down there too if you manage to get them. So happy you're back and this series is back too! I hope you're feeling better!

Sharky, if you're still having issues getting stone to respawn on your island, you'll need to go into the farm type manager "data" folder to your save file and set the "OreSpawnEnabled" to true and then you can change the min mining level for the different mineable rocks/geodes. I'm not the creator but i found it out for myself since I was having the same issue. I'm loving the series, I do wish you had made a full list of your mods but I am pretty sure I got most of them either way. Please don't over work yourself trying to get content out.

I have to say that out of your active series this one is my favorite so I hope you keep it going for a long while. Now I know this comment comes 10 days after you posted this vid (real life has been crazy around here) and so you might answer this in episode 6 or 7 but I will ask anyway.. when you are outside next to your fish/cooking chest and you look left (well left for viewers) by the top of the little water way there is a little mound of dirt and there is something sitting on it, I am wondering what that is, just decoration or a collectable of some kind? Did you ever tell us if you are going to introduce a way to expand your inventory? I think it would be a good idea to do. As for the forest I think it would be great for planting, at least if it can be tilled, if not maybe your animals if it lets you put them down there.
