This build is amazing for real!!! I also love your careful step by step guide explaining each part slowly! I have watched so many other ship build tutorials with amazing ship design/ideas but unfortunately they have not presented it in a carefully thought out manner as you have 😆 so thanks a lot
Love the forward Deimos wings. Not so much on the back, but it's definitely given me some inspiration. Now, i just need to rebuild my cash from recently NGing.
Great build! Love the look! Pro tip: If you have a group of parts off to the side of your ship you can double click any of the parts and it will select the whole group together, allowing you to move them all around as one. It's a good time saver that keeps you from having to hold CTRL and then click on each individual part in the group.
Since Starfield came out, there is a daily flood of new videos. Many of them are building tutorials for "The Best And Only Ship You'll Ever Need!!!". Your tutorial really doesn't get the attention it deserves. Not because the ship itself ( but it really is a nice one, I like it) but because of the way you presented it and explained every step. I'm not posting much on YT, but your video impressed me. Also yeah, I didn't know how to execute this Snap Glitch too, I just heard about it again and again. Your's is the first video for me with an explanation, an HowTo. Thumbs up!
man, don't apologize so much! You did great! I really like the exterior design of the ship, and this was a simple and great explanation of what you did. We all start somewhere, Keep going! if you upload more great design I'll subs you
I really like the exterior design of the ship, and this was a simple amd effective explanation of what you did. I shudder to think of the absolute maze the interior must be, though.
It’s honestly not too bad. If all habs are placed at the same time, generally the ladders and doors will line up. You can also replace some of the habs with Hull pieces if you don’t want that many habs.
Class C reactor + 6 of the molded class A engines gives you a 100/150 manuverability, top speed split. As long as you are using the best version of said engine. C and b class engines are heavier than the A classes giving you that high top speed.
Lol. I give you all the GoldStar 3 LEGENDERY Ship from Croatia 🥰. Its free for all players. BUILD YOUSELF for yourself and upgrade more at your own will. Have fun people and THX for your videos. Big like
Great build video; great explanations; The only tip I'd have to give - although 12 less mass won't matter much - but could replace 2 of the 2x1s(8x3 = 24 mass) with a 2x3(1x = 12 mass). Like I said, in this ship 12 mass won't matter you're already at top mobility, but just in case if anyone expands on it for an even bigger ship; might be something to keep in mind.
Great one! I like the double-winged design, makes it look aggressive af) But there is a room for improvement (although I don't know how cause I don't have imagination). Specifically: The part below cockpit makes it look bloated. Maybe some other cockpit? Or other structural piece? And roof looks a bit blank on the sides. Spines wouldn't make it better, cause there are already 3 of them and it would look too repetitive, but it's really asking to put something there. Didn't figured out what yet, though. Still, one of the cooler designes I've seen so far, thank you for that!
I'd be happy if just everything was rotatable. Obviously not "functional" components like engines or cockpits and habs would only rotate flat, but structural pieces don't need any constraints.
I do wish they would add more structural parts but at the same time, using what we’re given has helped a lot when it comes to creativity. It would just be nice to have a few more. And letting us rotate more of the parts would be amazing! Hopefully they’ll add it in an update down the road
The neutron turrets have a range of 3500, and are auto so they just start shooting. There are also some landing gear with a landing thrust of 4, which is one more than the ones you have, in case you need more gear, you can just swap out as if it is looking for 12 points in landing you can use 3 of the 4s while you'd need 4 of those 3s. The Vanguard shield has 1600 but it may be 6% so repairs slightly faster. I am not in game so I can't check. Those engines are really good. They only require 2 power, which is why you can have 6, 12 being the max. The 3015s can get you to 180 but I believe you can only have 4 of those, as they require 3 power each. Thus lowering your overall thrust and maneuverability. I've found the 6 is a bit better than the faster 4 engines. I like to board ships so I go with two sets of auto turrets and one set of EMs, so I can take down some ships, capture one I want, sell it, make some cash.
Looks like I found my new ship then. I plan on colouring it black with a hint of red and call it the black widow, as I loved the spider like aesthetic of this ship. The only downside is I will have to progress the main questline again to get access to the engines. Thank you
Great look, just short on Max Crew by 2 people, but not a huge issue for most people until later in the game. If they want 8 Crew, they can swap out just the cockpit to get them. Also, if you swap out a whole bunch of those individual habs for the larger ones, you will have a vastly better experience trying to navigate through the ship.
What does 8 crew gain you? 4 Constellation members give you everything you need (5 if Sarah isn't bugged), except ballistics and missiles, which is available at 2 stars for both on 1 guy for hire. But, you can't run every weapon type, so you can likely drop someone (probably the hired guy, because particle weapons are all you need and EM if you want to capture ships). Regardless, there's no way you can get any benefit from more than 6 crew unless you really just want to leave the strongest options back in their lodge. Now, if we could level up the hired crew (not Constellation, because that keeps the same "problem"), anyone but Constellation members would have more usefulness and you'd need a full crew. Either way, he has enough hab space he can easily get to 8 crew without changing the cockpit aesthetic.
@@rickyjanzen6684 There are actually 2-3 NPC's that are not Constellation that are good for crew, one that boosts your shields and it's how many of us are getting our shields over 2k. The crew member's benefits are not just for weapons, it appears in your reply that weapons are the only thing you use them for. I don't ever use any else's build exactly as they laid it out, I use it as inspiration and take key ideas from it. I built this ship and then tweaked just the hab types and had it at 7 crew, which I agree is good enough for most people. But for those that want to max out the advantages of getting all 8, well, until they add another bridge or some way to get there, that is what you need to do.
Flip it, flip it cancel. Attached. Hmm. So you have to use a bug to get it to fit. Wonder if I can use this for my ship to see if that why my bay ramp door won't open.
great build but i changed the engines you do not need to have them sticking up you and Clip Gl,itch them and make them look like 3 big engines instead of 6 they look pretty cool just install bottom engines then looking from about Click the copy and it will snap into the bottom engine. because if i do the docker like you show i get the docker error...
Very cool. I dont like how you used the snap glitch though, as that will for sure be patched soon. Why not just have the docker and shield out in the open, and the tanks, they are not exactly 'ugly'. But yeah, leaving it like this will no doubt be patched out and cause issues for people following this later, or potentially the ship from working after a patch - who knows. Nice work though.
Personal preference mainly. I just like a cleaner look, and it can help minimize space used. If they patch it, I’ll just have to deal with it when the time comes.
Each weapon has a power rating on it. Each weapon slot can have 12 max power so if you want more weapons, find some that use 2 power each for that slot. But they will generally have less damage.
@@jamesleonard5693 vanguard obliterators have max power 2, meaning you can have up to six of them - it's my go to weapon of choice, note you have to complete some of the vanguard faction to unlock them.
I’ll try to mess with it on the next one. It may just be my mic because I had to turn my mic boost up on OBS like 3.0db just to get it to this loud lol
Come on you defo did those money glitches when they worked 88million bloody hell I didn't get to do them once I could do them. They got removed lol always my luck 😂😂
Each engine has a power rating of anywhere from 2-4. These engines use 2 power each meaning I can use 6 of them to equal the 12 power I can allot to them.
Yeah, I'm not a fan of using it to hide things or stack modules (and I think those fuel tanks look really cool), but I'm not opposed to the cosmetic snap under the cockpit. A slight mismatch of geometry shouldn't hinder the build that much.
It’s not for everybody but sometimes I like to hide certain parts, and some of the tolerances for parts are a bit dumb, so I think it helps snap pieces that shouldn’t have an issue with it in the first place.
