Cool build. Might have to give this one a go on a new character as I already have quite a good B class ship. Just a few suggestions for future builds to include: - stats of the ship (class, mobility, etc...) and this could even just be the full screen once completed. - total cost, without any skills in commerce - character level to get the highest ship part - build order, in terms of which shipyard to start and how to progress so there's less temporary parts to use - a parts list, with count (maybe even by shipyard). Definitely like your overall tutorial style, so these were just some things I thought would improve the presentation.
As much as I wanted to love your build, the fact that the interior layout was completely disregarded (likely due to an aesthetic vs interior debate) credit where credit is due, your silhouette is spot on. I should have posted this 9 months ago. Given how the progressive updates have given builders more creative freedom, perhaps, I'll give your build a shot and shoot for a game accurate interior. Fantastic work all around.
KotOR and KotOR II have always been some of my favorite games of all time, and the Ebon Hawk one of my favorite ships. Thank you so much for this, I've got this saved for when I get far enough into the game to make this. I've only just gotten to the Lodge, but this is definitely going to be my home ship later.
Once you progress your main quest line, and complete the Ranger one to become a Ranger, you get the Star Eagle. That is not far off from where you are right now! Then use that ship as your base to create the ship in this video, and don’t sell anything that is a “Class 4” part…..engines, reactor, guns, cargo, etc. This ship can literally take you through the entire play through!

while i fully understand the love the millennium falcon holds, for being the og star ship in star wars the ebon hawk holds a higher place in my heart for the love i have of kotor. thank you for making a build for the ebon hawk chief.
Thank you for letting me remember my childhood. I enjoyed Kotor 1 and 2. My dad purchased kotor one for me. My mother got Kotor 2 because of how much i loved the first one. My mother passed when i was only 11. My father passed away in 2020 due to multiple health conditions. Flying this ship brought back some wonderful memories that i really do cherish . Calculated the cost of this build, didn't double check. This ship total cost is about $650,000 (with his Commerce level). For the essential/customizable parts: (i.e. weapons, engines, cargo hold, reactor, etc.) the total was roughly $594,500. And basic ship parts were only $49,000+. So that part is affordable early on. I am DEFINITELY going to build this ship, THANK YOU FOR PUTTING IN THE WORK!
Just built this one for a semi-rp run at the crimson fleet as a comabt capable smuggler headcannon. Love the work you put into this, and using 2 stroud habs at the fromt to replace the now dead glitch technique (and incidentally creating 2 extra weapon mount points) worked very well. ty for the build !
I don't know this ship because I never played the game but I really enjoy the aesthetic. Probably going to build one of my own and customize it a little. Really cool!

Brother, it would be super helpful if you made a list of the part we need to buy from the different manufactures. That way we could make a freight ship, pick up the parts and asseble at the final destination. So something I have done differently to this and something you may want to consider as well a little is a lower turret. I removed the bottom middle 1x1 and moved the 2x1 up a little, and that gap between the grave drive and the hab I put in a Nova Cowling 2L-BM underneath it. This gives the ability to put on a turret on the bottom portion of the ship, giving it more of a feel for the original star wars ships. I've done this with the Ebon Hawk you made, and my own YT-2400 Outrider that I built, and pretty sure can do the same with the YT-1300. And let me tell ya, dual turrets on the top and bottom of the ship is amazing.

It'd just be nice to have it imo and this way could make it fit within the world sans mods. Wishful thinking maybe.
I like this ship build because it uses two 2 by 2 habs and still maintains a small compact ship build with everything you need, large crew, cargo, and travel range. A few too many ladders but I can look past that part.

Can't seem to find the comment I replied to originally, so I'll put it here for reference. I pieced together the cost from a few sources, based on the parts listed here. The total cost is just shy of 700k credits. But what should be pointed out, is they want to use the SAL-6830 engines (the big ones), you'll need to complete the mission "All That Money Can Buy" from Walter Shroud.

@@Moonraker_6 if you build it as shown, you'll need to be level 60 and Starship Design 4 (because of the shield used). You can use lesser items to lower the requirements until you reach key levels. However the Grav Drive (Lvl 52), Reactor (Lvl 49) and Engines (Lvl 43) as shown will also be a restriction - depending on what you decide to use. At minimum you need to be level 33 (+Starship Design 3) to use all the parts (habs, structural, cockpit, etc...) which would dictate the look of the build. Yes you'll need Piloting 4 because it's a C class reactor.
@@williamludwick77 I appreciate the info good sir. I was able to max out piloting early by running the UC Vanguard simulator over and over. But I’m only about level 10 or 11 right now. I might try to swing a lesser version at level 33 when I get there and then upgrade as I go.
This is one of the best you've done. Looks great! I hope Mods come out to make different looking weapons, larger sized and different mount options. Wish we could have internal missile racks, or internal cannons. Even just the ability to unfold weapons from the hull.
God... just this shipbuilding minigame has become therapeutic for me, i console add money and go to level 100 and unlock everything and just spend my time ship spinning and building

I know, I get this request a lot. The only issue is that I'm trying to balance this with a full time job, and the free time to put together a list just isn't there. I've gotten a few people to put together lists, which I've included in the pinned comments.
This looks amazing, but I gotta ask. A couple times now I've watched you use a B-class shield when there's an identical form-factor C-class, I think its SG-1800 or something like that with waaaay more capacity. If you're gonna build around the bulky C-class reactors, it seems like a bit of a miss to me to leave all that extra shield performance on the table. I know this is mostly about looks, but isn't it better if it looks fantastic AND can take a hit?

Is is one of the most famouse ships from star wars and little side info, it was originaly the plan to make this the ship of Han Solo and not the Falcon. the stats came out really bad, not sure if i did something wrong but it was at like 40 something mobility and was way overweight. i dropped a bunch of the cargo holds and added an additional engine between the two SAE ones. looks a little off in the back but it’s still beautiful. thanks bro!
update if anyone cares: i misread the engine names. i had the absolute most basic versions of them at my level. just unlocked the correct ones tonight and oh maaaan she’s a beauty
nice build, though you should tell people what ranks they need in what perks to be able to get certain parts and warn that some parts might not be available before hitting a certain level.
Question, The various Stroud-Elkand cockpits will constantly throw errors even using a Viking cockpit (Cannot reach cockpit from Docker and Cannot reach cockpit from landing bay) it will show this error for me on any SE cockpit even if I haven't removed the original cockpit yet. So was curious how you got yours to snap without errors during this video or maybe it's just an issue with the Mantis Razorleaf?
