Bessel 3 moon is a much better outpost location, really easy to find the line between aluminium and Iron, with Cobalt there as well (literally the side of a big black mountain). waiting there is just as long as Venus as well so save a trip/gets warehouses filled much faster. highly recommend looking into this planet

Just dont cry about it, for me i enjoy using those Glitches and Stuff to speed up the Game experience because i dont want to waste dozens of hours grinding exp. and shit again as i did in every other game out there before. I found all my stuff on Nikola I Al, Fe, Ar, Be and rigged up some nice outgoing posts for the rest on Maheo. Worked Great. @@ehhm.s

@NukeJesus Can i ask you to help us out a bit more? Can you give us a direction and distance from something on the surface map? Fpr example, 330 KM South East from the Abandoned Robotics Facility. or use a clock.. from the Robotics facility, head in direction of 7 o'clock and go 200 meters... or better yet.. give us distance between 2 points.. and we can then triangulate.

@@Dunadine use the cardinal directions and look on map. The terrain makes it somewhat obvious as to what it looks like ahead. For exemplar, swamps are more flat compared to hills.

how can you make the part of choosing between the two materials in the map (like plateau and rocky dessert) and land the ship perfectly in the middle. it took me two hours one of the planets (with the tip from @nukejesus on the new video) and so far in lantana i think it has taken me 2 hours.. i can't either find both or i find gold and then nowhere near where i am silver... it dosn't help that the planet map dosn't show me where i am standing and I can't delete the ship landing destinations once landed there to move it a little bit.

Thanks I'll try this. I looked for a couple hours tonight but couldn't find the sweet spot of both Iron and Aluminum mentioned above. Once I have a marker placed, I can't move it and try again in the same spot either. Have to hoof it!

Will try this. Can you clarify when you are zoomed in, do you pay more attention to the biome changes and hope the correspond to the resource transition or do you have to verify that the cursor also says biome1(resource1) and biome2(resource2)? Often I get the resource highlighted, but assume that's just to tell me that "green is aluminum" not that necessarily where my cursor is there is aluminum. Not been successful yet, but often had a hills/swamp combo. EDIT: finally ran towards a ferrous mountain with aluminum swamp, and the mounts are full of aluminum and beryllium. I'm almost thinking Bethesda patched this for PC folks, and the people who find it are console or found it before the change so it's locked. It cannot be this freaking difficult.

No, I'm on PC. It has nothing to do with the resources shown on the map, those are often lies. When you click to land, the icon that pops up tells you the biome. I toggle my mouse's DPI down to the lowest setting and move the cursor one pixel over at a time clicking and unclicking until the biome changes. I have found that on smaller planets/moons I do sometimes have problems finding the boundary, but I found a single outpost in the Nikola system with Iron, Aluminum, Tantalum, AND Beryllium just tonight. Like I said, mountain-like terrain can appear in swamps but you can usually tell them apart from true mountains because the swamp ones have valleys in-between that go down to sea level. When you actually have real mountains on your local map it's pretty obvious what the difference is. In-game, if the ground textures don't change the biome hasn't changed. If you want to speed up the prospecting, drop a save and then run "player.setav speedmult 1000" without the quotes in the console. You can zip all over like the flash looking for a spot and then reload and hike over on the clean save without worrying about disabling your achievements. @@pedwards5555 I uploaded an example of me finding a spot on Nikola I to my channel if anybody wants to see what I'm talking about.

Yeah and you can get companion xp bonus as well.

The exp bonus from the bed doesnt affect the exp from workshops. I tried without the exp and with exp. Its still the same.

Hey I have been running around trying to find that exact spot for hours any tips been running around with the outpost beacon out and have not found and spot with both aluminum/iron

and it also requires hours of trying to find a spot where you can extract iron and aluminum

dont focus on them overlapping. the colors, so to speak, do not extend to every area they actually reach. aim for an area they are very close@@eltonhyland5485

Your options are: 1. Drop them at different vendors feet. When you want to buy something sell them. 2. Drop them on a random planet. They will only render has 1 or two adaptive frame models on the ground with a large number like (xxxxx) above it. 3. Store them in the infinite chest in your room in the lodge. Now you have extra material for the future :)

I started watching this video hours ago and opened up the game to give it a try. Managed to stop the patch and take Steam into offline mode so I'm still running the old version.

Strange!

It may be harder to find but it’s much more efficient. 1. Both items make the same amount of XP. 2. The Nickel/Cobalt method requires you to farm on three separate planets. 3. The Nickel/Cobalt method requires you to fast travel to Venus to pass time. That’s now 4 planets you need to use. 4. The Nickel/Cobalt method requires you to have leveled up skills that most people don’t have yet. Without the leveled up skills you can’t see Cobalt! The Iron/Aluminum farm avoids everything listed above and makes you the same amount of XP. You also have all the materials available instantly to craft more chests without having to go get more iron and aluminum.

@@RichyN25raw goods to manufactured goods, one xp. you can get more from manufactured to higher manufactured, but that doesn't let you build more storages while you go. Still need iron and aluminum for that.

I need to see this location

Mine was at 0 at one point because 30 mercenaries in a ship ran up on me randomly and shot them when I was building. 😅 It’s very rare but can happen sometimes.

@@NukeJesus yeah, on my grind to lvl 100 sometimes when i would wait and check my outpost it would say 0 production. it only happened a few times out of the 50 rotations i did lol but it took me a few minutes to figure it out.

@@foxden6763how did you know which way was north and south? Having same problem as you and trying your method rn

​@@Josh-ew1wf the larger tic on your compass is north can only see it when not in scanner mode). Also bringing up the land map is always oriented north up, so the arrow is the way you are facing.

@@Josh-ew1wf If you are doing the same moon it's a little tricky to spot. But there is a place on the planet, where the light blue and iron touch. I put my landing zone as close to the center of that line as I could. That why I didn't have to have a direction I just stayed within sight of my ship. Hopefully that helps.

The one difficulty I found with Jemmison vs. Distribution is the distance for a wait bench. Closest I found to Jemmison was a chair in the coffee shop, unless I missed one.

I don't see a way to put it directly into ship cargo can you tell me how ?

@@deviousclaymore Come on, that's basic game mechanics. You shouldn't be trying to use exploits etc until you've at least learned the basics of how to play the game. Open your menu (Tab on PC, no idea on console), go to your ships, open cargo, then you can switch to your inventory from there and put it in, as long as you're in the spaceport district.

I said in the video it's difficult to find the spot. But with a little luck and determination it will work! Remember the game doesn't want you to find iron next to aluminum! That’s why this spot is OP.

@@NukeJesusdo you have any general tips on how to find some? I’ve been looking in spots on the map where the two are next to each in the view of the entire area, but I’ve only ever found just aluminum or iron, when I should find one of the two after a while.

@@ScallywagBeowulfmy best advice is to go to the same area that I landed and to pull out the outpost and hold it. Walk around it will show you what material is in the area. If you see iron and aluminum you hit the jackpot!!

@@NukeJesus I landed in roughly a similar area you did, but after the two hours of searching, I came up empty. Might try again tomorrow, but I’m thinking that my area didn’t have the luck you and some others might have had.

Could you show on the surface map where this is found? The icons from orbit view block the precise location.

So in the video it says you need a ship with 2k plus cargo space and u say you have a video that says where to get it I don't see a video with that information

Big problem with that location is it doesn't have anywhere near as good a time conversion. You want to have a place with a large difference from UT (universal time). Bessel 3b is a far better choice.

I swear they need to update the placement rules. It keeps telling me something is already there when it's not and it take 5 seconds to.update the position every time I move to place another. Just allow us to batch place them Bethesda. (And uncap the crafting menu. 99 as a cap is ridiculous and being able to hit one button to craft the max you can would be incredibly helpful)
