@@ImpeachObamaASAP2010 because multiplayer vs singleplayer has sooo much impact on a ship designing system... c'mon man, be intellectual in general if you're gonna call someone out
As much as people hate Bethesda, there's no denying they came up with some of the greatest games sagas in history and are the creators of some of the most famous pop culture phenomenas ever. Hope to see Starfield breaking records!
This could one of the best games to come out in a while, but I've burned too many times with AAA titles not living up to the hype so I'm going to be cautious
@@redline8643 After many years of Bethesda taking steaming dumps onto their fans churrning out the worst games ever. This seems like a revival and may be their best game they have made since Skyrim❤❤❤
Can't wait for the modders to get a hold of this. The concept of building your ship and making it a home is fantastic. The potentential for modding weapons and spacesuits ect will be great
Unpopular opinion, the game will be so broken and bare bones that heavy modding does very little to help the game, and modders are mostly not interested in this game like they are with skyrim. Also would bet this game might be more difficult to mod, so we see less mods in general.
true. but....i hope there are different types of human soldiers. We are constantly seeing same suited grunts. and same greyish color schemes inside buildings.

@@Durwood71 all they need to do is make sure there's no game breaking bugs.... That's it😅. PC modders will take care of this game for next 10 years... 😂🤣😂.... They have one job... Deliver on a stable game without bugs...
Props to the devs who worked on it, it looks fantastic. Its nice to see Bethesda always respect their own roots, it really shows in Starfield. Also the Snultists (the zealots) interest me greatly.
This looks insane. It looks like the kind of game you dreamed of as a kid. I'm cautious, but if this delivers, it could be the biggest game in a generation especially if the devs support modders.
My expectations weren’t extremely high for Starfield. They have been both raised and exceeded. This looks like a Bethesda game in all the best ways, while also looking nothing like a Bethesda game… also in the best ways
Glad to see that the Lead Level Designer knows the correct terms for firearms. Saying magazine instead of clip and suppressor instead of silencer is music to my ears.
You should play no man’s sky. Im still watching this video, 5 mins in but a lot of the features in this game already exists in No Man’s Sky If you like the space stuff, Elite Dangerous as well. Games like this already exist. You should check those games out
@@TerminalM193 No they didn't, lol. 80% of Fallout 76's hype died when they revealed it to be an online game, and they only showed like two or three small clips of actual gameplay during that whole presentation. Meanwhile, the amount of footage we've seen of Starfield thus far has been staggering.

It just occurred to me that NPC facial expressions in older games didn't feel as empty because they weren't as high res, so the little things they did seemed lifelike. But with how high def the faces are in modern games the lack of expression paired with certain inflections feel more inauthentic to our brains.
All it’s missing is seamless, player-controlled flight from surface/atmosphere to space, it would’ve been cool to see. But Bethesda has surely beaten CIG at their own galactic game.
im so glad they made this my life has been really not so great at times and this really has been something to look foward to and give me hope. cant wait!

Imagine the Easter eggs and homages to sci-fi that Bethesda have hidden in this game.. there's got to be some monolith, a derelict ship with a dangerous cargo and possibly a space station with clones on some moon. Can't wait to explore.
i’m already getting very serious vibes from the Aliens franchise with all the analog stuff. Hopefully we can find a colonial marine pulse rifle or something!
Bethesda has really pushed this engine into something special. The animations, UI, combat, customization systems, characters and the in-game thematic camera etc... Everything looks so polished and clean. They've fixed so much outdated systems in older Bethesda titles.
One thing I'm worried about is the procedurally generated worlds, are the quests on those world to similar to each other, or are there enough that feel like the oblivion dark brotherhood quests, completely tailored to tell a amazing unique story.
It's Bethesda so the answer is almost definitely... kind of? Bethesda is a dev that does scale better than almost anyone, but in pretty much every game they've ever produced, each INDIVIDUAL element is mostly just fine. You do not play bethesda for the best crafting, the best graphics, or the best story. You CERTAINLY don't Bethesda for the best combat. You play Bethesda because it has all those things, done PRETTY well, at a scale almost nothing else compares to... ...then you keep playing because some yahoo spent their free-time modding it to make all those things way better.
Todd says the “prebuilt” stuff are randomly placed but handmade. Meaning your faction quests are deliberately made and fleshed out, but their location will be random. I’m sure there will also be randomly generated quests too though just to fill out the world.
Saw a sneak peek of the opening. SPOILERS: You start as a prisoner on a transport ship to a UC settlement, alongside the captured leader of the Crimson Fleet. When you arrive, you are slated for execution. But suddenly the Alien Mothership attacks, the same Alien Mothership prophesied to destroy the galaxy! The Aliens have returned! You escape the settlement, make it to a nearby colony and then must warn the local system governor of the Alien Invasion. Along the way, you discover that you are the legendary Starborn, come again, who wields the powers of the Aliens themselves.
I'm super stoked to see that the gunplay looks way better than in past demos. When they released that first bit of game play several months ago, the game looked pretty great but the gun play looked weak and generic and it didn't look like it had any punch or weight behind it
Maybe I'm too old and have seen too many games but this looks like walking on procedurally reskinned planets and shooting at enemies that don't do much.
I'm so hyped, and I'm worried about that. It's so detailed, I'm just worried there was some smoke and mirrors in the editing. But, ya, really excited. Might even pre-order which seems insane in today's triple A climate.
"My favorite trait is kid stuff, which gives really sweet and cute parents you can visit!" "And if you want to remove a trait, there's ways to do that too." (ಠ_ʖಠ)
its extremely odd to see no negative comments here. hmmmm 16x times the detail? check. you see that mountain? (moon) check dont forget, its a bethesda game. the bugs will be a feature
Yeah it's gonna be a classic bethesda game: borderline unplayable at launch, huge world filled with repetitive content, shallow gameplay that will be fixed by modders.
@@cappie2000 Not the same. Bethesda big open world solo rpg are amazing but still if it is money you can't easily miss wait for release before buying👍
Couldn't help but notice a couple previous title pre-release announcements. When Todd is talking about being able to visit the moon in the distance it reminded me a lot of skyrim's "do you see that mountain in the distance" and then when they pointed out the ship AI being able to say your name it reminded me of when they announced your robot butler would be able to say your name in FO4
this is absolutely incredible! the only thing maybe that it would have been nice is if they added the transition of leaving/landing on a planet and breaking through the atmosphere. we only see cutscenes as the transition.
@alexv5581 that's a fair point . E.g. you can fully walk around walk around inside your ship in Starfield and cannot in Elite Dangerous because the devs refused to cooperate. It's almost like Bethesda have carefully learned from the mistakes of Elite Dangerous Odyssey and Star Citizen ...so yes, I'm excited 😊
Amazing! My jaw dropped. Super graphics. Looks so vast with so much to do. Different NPC interactions, spaceships, planets, exploration, alien plants and animals, outposts, lots of customizing,, space battles, and option to play according to your game style. Definitely buying this game. 😁😁😁
It is nice to get some long format cover of a game. it helps to temper expectations. My only concern is that the scale of it could be very big empty and boring, like No Mans Sky was at release.
While we manage our expectations let’s at least hope that they’ve learnt from the failure of other similar games that had the spotlight like star citizen and no man’s sky.
Honestly, the base game doesn't have to be incredible, as long as the gameplay loop is fun and the universe is interesting enough, the Modders will take care of it
@@flosko True, but he's saying if there's enough quality modders will handle our ever changing needs. Skyrim wasn't super amazing in retrospect, just interesting. But modders completed it.
@@cappie2000 that wasnt the main bethesda team though. It was made by their least experienced branch studio in Austin. They should've done a better job quality checking it regardless. Safe to say though that this wont be nearly as bad.
