I play it on a Series X connected to an LG C2, and at Visuals Mode 40pfs it now runs great. In my experience it's a night and day comparison, it makes a big difference on 120hz vrr displays. The game feels like it's fun now, for some reason.

There's a clue in how they did this that betrays it as not a true 60fps. It doesn't work without a VRR capable display. They do mention it in the fine print.

They’ve given out the creation club to verified modders, so I think it’ll come around the dlc, so later this year

Why would you turn of vsync to increase fps on a console? It’s only getting to 60 anyways so with monitor that supports at least 120 hz you shouldn’t have any problems, or am I completely misunderstanding what vsync does?

I think it just forces a cap on fps among other stuff that I'm not sure. I leave it off, I have 60 fps on quality mode and it seems to run fantastic and looks great. Only lags in the cities.

Never turn off v sync it’s supposed to make the game smoother why would you turn it off

Vsync can drop your fps dramatically, even caps it. That’ll be why some people don’t bother with it.

V-sync is best with fixed refresh displays. With a VRR display you want to disable v-sync in-game, cap frame rate to a few frames below your monitor's max rate and let the monitor do the rest.

@@dkindigshouldn’t you leave vsync on and cap frames at a few lower than max for the best results? If your monitor supports high hz then you shouldn’t have problems with vsync decreasing your fps

@@AcBaLkX I run vsync off in-game and then enable fast v-sync for my graphics card settings. None of it really makes much difference as setting cap just below monitor max prevents v-sync from engaging anyway.

⁠@@frew208Are you using a tv that supports vrr? If not performance mode will be awful. You’ll just get stuttering and screen tearing.

So, it's basically an over inflated patch that didn't really do anything. Just like FO4, almost a year of doing nothing to crank out an update a week before the deadline.

Fallout 4 ist ein 2016 Spiel , das Update 30 / 40 / 60 fps sollte 2022 realisiert werden . Es ist kein Vergleich Spiel gleichzusetzen wie Starfield oder Fallout 4 !!! Beide laufen auf meiner SX am 4K UHD ( HDR10+ / HDR / 120 Hz TV QLED 55 ' Bj 2023 > 1450 Euro ) super , mit kurzen Ladezeiten ohne Abstürze , ohne Bugs die mein Spiel auch nicht den Spielstand nach über 200 Stunden zerstört haben und ich kann auch ( 5 ) Mods installieren ( 2x Grafikverbesserung ) . Das ewige Gehate mancher die das Spiel , egal ob F04 oder Starfield überhaupt gesehen oder auch nur gespielt haben ist in dieser Generation der Gamer einfach unglaublich unglaubwürdig . Grüsse aus Deutschland's Hauptstadt .

Honestly hated this game at launch, i have a lg webos nanocell which supports vrr and 120 hz, 30 fps was shit on release you couldnt even fly your ship in battles and dont get me started with actual combat only way you could get kills is if you have aim assist, it was so laggy you couldnt play without getting bored or irritated at the 30 fps plus frame drops at 30 fps to like 25, im actually enjoying it now ive put 30 hours in the past 3 days no problems whats so ever combat is great now the only lag i get is when im in New atlantis i get like a 10 frame drop. Hope this eases it up for some peeps.

The frame rate is 60 or close to 60fps so it’s good enough it’s not 30fps even in towns or cities or intense combat
