It would be nice if devs would watch things like this and see the gimmicks people do to get things to work and then you know add it in, like the rug thing, maybe add in bridge pieces starfield devs.

This is absolutely CRAZY!!... and EXACTLY what I was looking for; I'm obsessed with building both Ouposts 'on the water' and 'James Bond Villian-type mansions' on top of mountains! Thanks for the post!!

I'm the same way, everytime I find a biome I like the first thing I do is look to see if it has any water I can build on

Thank you for this. I’ve been searching for a tropical or deciduous or coniferous biome that is on the coast, where the air is breathable, and the water isn’t horribly toxic. I know there are good options in the inner systems but I’ve been trying to find my perfect place way out on the fringes of known space. I’ve checked probably 70 plus planets and moons so far and none are exactly what I want but there are so many more potential spots I don’t feel discouraged. I just want to build an outpost strictly for living and displaying my stuff that’s on the beach (or a lake, maybe). I’d love to have nice views of Fauna and hills or mountains as well.

Have you tried any of the new creations? I downloaded one that adds a bunch of complete houses and buildings, they’re empty and read for decoration and they are a little easier to place in uneven spots. I’m hoping we get some mods that will relax the rules for building with the vanilla hab pieces as I’m tired of “foundation is too tall”

MiLady you are a creative ‘Genius’!! You definitely have filled in the gaps for me in figuring out how to make this creative construction process work. One suggestion: use the red topped modernistic metallic benches for a cool visual effect. The look is visually stunning in both daylight and night time, but especially at night when the airlock’s outer door is open and the red interior light meshes and blends with the red tops of the benches!
@MissOPlays

I love those benches, I actually used a few of them in the full outpost build for that very reason

Are planning on using some of the new building mods?
@MissOPlays
@MissOPlays 3 месяца назад
Eventually for sure. Right now I'm just waiting for something to come that is on my "things I need" list. I have the Observatory downloaded (though I don't know that I'd call that a mod since its made by the studio) I'm mostly interested in things that add new lore friendly building assets, but there aren't many doing that on Xbox yet. I'm constantly checking to see what's being added though

Ah, finally the video that you promised to make after you near New Atlantis lakeside outpost already presented here in short order. Thank you very much! P.S. Are we ever going to see mods from you in the Creation Store for Xbox players with some of your stellar ready fabricated homes and outposts?

Hopefully, I have the Creation Kit downloaded, and have been learning the ropes with it, so fingers crossed

Thank you for this!! I built a New Atlantis lake outpost right after seeing the previous video, but couldn't figure out how to make bridges, so I was having to swim to the airlocks😢I love the ability to fast travel between the outpost and New Atlantis city map points.

The volcanic biome on a world caught my attention, I never came across them but would love to and even see active lava. Then at any point it should happen maybe a blackhole, the allure of danger.
@MissOPlays
@MissOPlays 3 месяца назад
I haven't found any lava outside of some POIs, but the volcanic biome on Khayyam II is a good one, it has water, tall bioluminescent plants, and these orange (I think) mineral seams that look kinda like lava, the only thing is they don't glow

I found it once somewhere. Loads of little lakes of lava. God knows where it was tho. Should have wrote it down lol

Just stumbled across your channel. I will def be using this! Very cool. And I subbed. Btw, if you dont mind, where is your accent from? I kinda been doing accents all my life and I just couldn't place yours. That's unusual for me. Anyway great trick. Gonna check out your other vids now, bye
@MissOPlays
@MissOPlays 3 месяца назад
Thanks for the sub! and yeah I have a weird accent. I'm originally from Yorkshire, England, but moved to the US as an adult so now have an odd mix of yorkshire, generic british, and american accents all mashed into one

@MissOPlays thx, I was thinking some kind of British, but then I thought I caught jersey or new york. I do a pretty good British and Latino. I can fool the American but not the natives 🤣🤣🤣

I loved your idea so tried it out. I found it was easier for me to place the hab instead of the airlock. When the hab was close, I could fine tune it by slowly spinning it until I could place it perfectly on top of the water. Then I used the connecting tunnels to move it away from the shore. I did find that if it was just a bit too low, I was actually splashing in the water inside the round hab.
@foxymoley
@foxymoley 3 месяца назад
I've been having trouble getting the airlock on the surface too. I think maybe the place I'm trying is too steep? Anyway, I'm going to try your method! Thanks!
@MissOPlays
@MissOPlays 3 месяца назад
I had trouble placing the hab first, but nice to know that works well for others! I do get the splishy splashy sound quite often, but figured as long as I wasn't taking environmental damage with it, it was something I could probably live with

With the glass hab it looks like the floor is now made of semi-opaque glass too. Looks awesome.
@MissOPlays
@MissOPlays 3 месяца назад
I noticed that too, I wondered if it was actually glass, but so close to the concrete supports we don't usually notice it unless there's something like water getting in between and reflecting light back up?
