@@joelpetersen2480 The frame cap of 30fps does suck but the trade off is fidelity and scale of the game. It is on one of my worries for launch.

I can tell you it was genuine because so often we “hear” about things but when they are shown off in front of our eyes and gameplay of it it was just layer upon layer of “oh damn” type of feelings.

@@CelicaSound Certainly there will be bugs. One big difference between this game and past Bethesda games is that it would have released sooner according to Zenimax's deadline. When Microsoft took over they told them to wait and polish it more and then as I hear, lent every QA employee Microsoft has under its umbrella to work on Starfield.

I said years at that time stamp you just put in the comment. I have been waiting for Starfield for many years, as Skyrim and Fallout whilst good hasnt fullfilled that Space RPG fantasy.

Yeah that could be an issue for sure but at least you can fast travel to your ship, well at least i thought i saw that in the gameplay.

@@ITZJ1MB0 Yeah but people are in for a HUGE disappointment. They should have talked about the perimeter in their direct. People are going to be mad. They imagine they can run in a straight line all day long on those planets but instead they will be limited by a very un-immersive circle barrier. How large a perimeter? I don't think it is going to be very large at all but that is going to be very important. THEY AIN'T GONNA LIKE being fooled. Bethesda needs to come out with it right away !

​@MrDavePed True but I'll be honest I'd rather have a smaller playable zone with stuff to do than a large area that mostly feels empty. Just my personal feelings on it tho.

Stupid of Bethesda to let that happen when the conversation needs to be positive on the first day of play. People should be informed NOW about any exploration restriction. Todd Howard says: From Starfield Direct: "We love exploration and rewarding it, but you do explore differently in this game given its scale. That usually involves exploring an area you've landed in." From Todd Howard Answers YOUR Starfield Questions: "We hope everybody enjoys it for what it is, but it is an exploration different than we've had where you're landing, you're exploring around that landing spot and then you're probably going somewhere else." ..

Bethesda needs to be forthright asap. Todd Howard says: From Starfield Direct: "We love exploration and rewarding it, but you do explore differently in this game given its scale. That usually involves exploring an area you've landed in." From Todd Howard Answers YOUR Starfield Questions: "We hope everybody enjoys it for what it is, but it is an exploration different than we've had where you're landing, you're exploring around that landing spot and then you're probably going somewhere else." This kind of fudging is not going to serve them well on day one of play. It will generate a lot of resentment that will poison the first day of release. Starfield is going to be a great game. A GREAT game. One which deserves better treatment.
