@@eirikjormungandrsonthat’s simply not feasible. It would have to be an incredibly boring novelty where it’s just procedural copy pastes of the same few buildings
I'm just loving all these reaction videos and seeing all the open mouthed looks of amazement. This game is going to take the rest of my life. 1000 hours in Fallout. Almost 2000 hours in Skyrim. And when someone mods it to run in VR ? That's it. Never going outside ever again.
probably won't end up with a vr mod; skyrim and fallout only ended up in vr bc of the official releasd as far as i know. also there's a good chance we wont be getting any more vr versions of bethesda games with xbox being anti-vr
The whole main storyline is the search for any surviving aliens that were behind the artifacts you find. Having already existing aliens would kind of negate that mission and the reasons for it.
They've never said the story is about looking for surviving aliens, they've never even mentioned aliens at all regarding the story. It's about the artifacts and answering the question of what's out there, that's all they've said. People need to stop putting their own spin on things and passing it off as fact.
Yes, it's my theory on the story. But, unless they are going way off the rails, it's probably not going to be more humans behind the creation of the artifacts (how did another human race come to exist well outside of Earth), and most likely wouldn't be from intelligent machines (which would need a creator of their own). And, finding an already dead race of aliens, would be kind of demoralizing, because that would mean we would still be alone in the galaxy, only knowing that there was someone else before us.
@@kylewarner5142 What on Earth could artifact made by a non-human intelligence and "answering the question of what's out there" mean other than aliens?
Yeah, I think they had a cheeky nod to this during the character creation segment. They specifically said "almost all NPC faces you see were designed in the character generator." Context clues would hint that there are non human NPCs somewhere
Dont expect too much from that because Starfield was confirmed last year to have a world filled with humans and robots. The only aliens they spoke off are the animals we already saw.
@@Chilipotamus Could also mean that there are specific hairstyles or other things which aren't available for players so some NPC's would be truly unique in those aspects.
At the beginning one of the guys in the constellation room talks about an intelligent life making the relics. I think it is implied that we will encounter intelligent alien life but they are saving it as it surprise.
Todd does not approve of you being on vacation when his magnum opus is shown off. As penance you must buy one of the ports of Skyrim you haven't bought yet and Todd will be happy.
I think there are intelligent aliens out there - the whole artifact main story arc hints at that. Or it could be remnants of an alien civilization that is long gone, a true precurser situation. I'm also pretty sure that this is late game stuff. Maybe they'll introduce aliens with future story DLCs.
I've watched a lot of reaction videos and my favorite part is always "Hi Todd" that most say at the beginning. Yours is the absolute best though! The immediate apology for interrupting Todd.
As to the potential for aliens, the intelligent kind anyways, remember this game is only 1,000 planets out of the approximate 100,000,000 in the galaxy. So between DLC and Mods, the aliens will come to the game...
Practice makes perfect! After awhile, it will be like riding a bicycle. Base game + There was more than what they could show us + DLC's + Mods = A mind blowing experience that we will still be a part of in years to come. 😎
It's always fun to see what different people pull from this. That being said, some observations: Yes Starfield is Xbox, but it will be available on PC (at launch, that is) The robot saying your name is not new, Codsworth from Fallout 4 could say it too---but it was limited a list of names it knew--we'll see about this one.
For some reason, I just can't imagine a gamer not playing Skyrim and also not loving Skyrim. Also, sad that some dont pick up the Oblivion reference with the adoring fan.
This is the kind of game you should play on Pc if you can. Console is locked at 30fps, And sure it's playable but 60fps on Pc with all the mods that will come out is the way to go.
If you have a PC that can run Starfield at 60 fps without sacrificing visuals, shouldn't you play every single game on it? What's the point of owning such a PC if you play anything on console? That's like saying, if you own a Ferrari then you should drive it when you go to the race track.
@Ronnet That's how I am now. I'm much more comfortable playing games at or above 60fps with a keyboard/mouse. I only use a controller with racing games most of the time. But there are people who don't want to sit a desk and want to lay on a couch and play games. So I can see if someone really likes a game, they would get it for both.
Hey! I’m in MD and I’ve had to make the drive to Raleigh to see family many a time myself. Small world. Great reaction video. I have been waiting for a game like this since Star Citizen was announced years ago! Very excited and I’ll be there day one!
Humans have left Earth and looking for what new life is out there. This game (from what I gather) is about the search for that “first contact” with alien intelligence out there.
The aliens are who you're trying to find. I hope there is some kind of DLC after the main story where you can interact with aliens. Not just alien creatures
As they said they have gone for lofi than scifi. The whole premise of the game is about the existence of intelligence life and the quest to search it. I don't think you will have alien companions like Mass effect because this is a different game.
This the only reason i want next gen xbox. Starfield, GTA6, Kingdom Come 2, Witcher 4 and Ghost of Tushimia 2 are the main games i am looking forward to.
38:29 I think there most definitely will be aliens we can talk to. I just think that Bethesda doesn't want to spoil what they look like. There are 2 hints I know so far. (1) There was that clip in this video of a human saying to you, "You're... human?! We thought we are the last humans to leave Earth." She's not surprised that any intelligent being opened the door. She's surprised that a human was on the other side. (2) There was that slithering snake voice that we didn't get to see what they looked like earlier in this video talking about about "heathens". At the same time as hearing the voice, we got a shot of the camera looking at a figurine of a cobra head. So I'm speculating that there is a humanoid cobra alien race in this game.
not an Xbox girl? Well, welcome to the dark side, baby 😝 Seriously, we're not that bad, and I wish all games could be cross platform so everyone could enjoy them without having to drop hundreds of bucks on various systems just to play your favorite franchises and, yes, if your PC is powerful enough you can just use it instead of a console
Idk, for me, it doesn't seem complicated at all. Ship building, etc seem pretty straightforward. And stop asking for aliens. They just said this is NASApunk. That means something. This isnt Mass Effect.
Not sure if you now know this already but seems only the Constellation Companions are romanceable (and might be the ones with questlines), least that's what Todd Howard said in an interview afterwards. Though given the modding community that won't be the case for long I guess. Same could be said about all kinds of companions, IE non human. Mods will be wild for this game and also...vast.
Im glad they havnt introduced intelligent aliens (yet). This is a brand new universe. How lame would that be if we skipped all the discovering of that alien life?
I have the impression this is just the beginning of something even bigger specially with all the mods and expansions that people are going to be making😀
@@ohthatnatalietv Hey! it looks like we were right! after every thing that's been going on and, said and shown we are going to be able to not just play one of the most anticipated and wanted game of the year but we are going to be able to make our own mods 😆👍I can't play the game yet but I am working on some designs for a couple of things that if they work will most definitely be doing some thing here in you tube for the first time ever, know you keep up the amazing work you do 💯👍👍and play more!😁👍👍
I'm sure there will be a mod that introduces lore friendly aliens into the game at some point. I love watching people first time reaction to this showcase. :)
The aliens in this game are either dead or gone it's more a realistic look at space exploration based on humanity and off of shows like the expanse. Since we are looking for the aliens artifacts maybe we'll run into one or two aliens by the end and they can be a companion
Could be linked to Black Holes, as Bethesda is quiet about them and it seems gravity will play a role in the game, so, and that would be great for expansions, maybe it's (also like The Expanse, and kinda No Man's Sky) a portal tech via black holes. The expansion called Shattered Sky might be a different dimension or some event which affects space/gravity itself.
Lmao explains why you didn't know who the Fan was on the traits. He's a eater egg from Elder Scrolls Oblivion when you beat the arena. By Azura, Azura, Azure, is it really you? Same voice actor also.
1st person in a game like this with a low field of view (fov) makes me feel sick as well (unless I'm playing on a TV sitting on the other side of the room). I don't know if you've tried cranking up the fov in the first person games that you've tried, but it may be worth a shot.
@@ohthatnatalietvyou can always move over to PC when you are ready to start a fresh game with mods. I'm planning to do the same for the sole purpose of depriving myself console commands. I can't be trusted not to give myself money and skills just so I can play with shipbuilding.
@@ohthatnatalietv Sadly I am not a clairvoyant, so no idea what Mainboard is built into your Pc, but I too have 3 SSD and 1 HDD and could still build in 1 more SSD and at least 1 more HDD.
If you play on Playstation only you ain't playing this game as it's a xbox/pc exclusive so u either need to get a xbox or need a pc that can handle it good luck though Natalie I hope your able to play
Detail in what way? Can you collect sandwiches in star citizen? Jokes aside though, Bethesda games are known for their highly detailed worlds. I also think people look at this and see a space simulation game while it's actually a space themed rpg. The way it will play is radically different from star citizen.
@@Ronnet Tracking, I love Bethesda games hints why I also picked up the Constellation edition 😂 . But looking at this I feel Star Citizen graphics are at this point better. That being said, Starfield role playing game is different than Star Citizen in a big way and I feel they are completely different games. Can’t wait to play both 😜
ATTENTION! Limited straight line exploration! Exploration is limited to a perimeter around your landing location or city center. Yes you can go to the moon in the sky but you can't go to the mountain on the horizon (without going to orbit first). And will it still be a mountain when you land nearby? Bethesda had better own up really soon ! How big IS their exploration perimeter? I suspect it will be comparable if not identical to their large city perimeter. **
No, you can go anywhere. Every time you go further than the initial block, the game will calculate the next one. One foot you can go anywhere but you have to fast travel on your ship if you won't going back by foot
@@maxdelpo5578 You can straight line travel across the entire planet without returning to your ship? That is what people assume but I think that is not the case.
Based on what has been said in the past, it's unlikely that you can't walk around the planet. Todd said it's a space game where you were not really limited in where you could go or what you could do. It's also been explained the way they generate these planets is by wrapping tiles around a planet, which you wouldn't need to do if you were limiting the player around their ship.
@@eirikjormungandrson OK you try explaining this quote: Todd Howard: "We love exploration and rewarding it, but you do explore differently in this game given its scale. That usually involves exploring an area you've landed in."
