This tutorial is for adding custom wall cabinets, and greebles to your vanilla outpost builds
As an outpost builder on the Xbox without access to mods, I'm constantly looking for ways the assets can be used in creative ways to open up new outpost building possibilities

It looks like they've fixed what allowed us to make these. When you click to close the walls now, any furniture trapped between is gone, plus any goods used to build showers, etc. I wish they would have chosen not to fix that.

Thanks for this tip. Did not occur to me to try some of those Fallout 76 tricks of doorway changing to clip through items or to get floor items to place higher up. Def need to add this to my building toolbox! Your builds look great!

A lot of the tricks from FO76 no longer seem to work, but there are a few that seem to have stuck around for us to make use of!

Is that a mod? Like how on earth did you widen the walls? Can I do that on the Xbox?

Not a mod, to widen the walls you just have to click on either the wall segment you want to edit, or the floor directly in front of it, and it should cycle through the possible widths. Not all hab combinations can be widened though. If the doorway opens to a hallway piece, airlock, or one of the square habs with the sloping sides under small science and small hydroponics sections, those can only have the single width doorways, but the rest should have 2 or 3 different possible widths. You can add and cycle through window options the same way on walls that aren't connected to anything else.

these were the regular floor cabinets unfortunately it seems the last update has made it so anything built near a wall gets deleted if you edit the windows of doorways so the technique to make them stay up there doesn't currently work. hoping the next update fixes the problem
