Here is a short how-to guide for my personal ship build. It is based on the Normandy SR-2 from Mass Effect.

Dang, I just hate how the cockpit is enclosed. Oh well, this is by far the most accurate build of the Normandy so far. Excellent job!

Thank you! You can easily replace one of the front stroud caps with the cockpit, but it does hinder the overall look. I usually fly in third person, so it didn't bother me.

As of 2024 (June), there are some bugs that doesn’t allow this ship to be built, first being the placement of the cockpit and the second is somewhere in there it still says “piece not attached” or something…

Is it possible that you could do a normal speed step by step build guide? I'd love go build it, but I have to constantly pause and rewind the video just to make sure I'm building the Normandy correctly and level by level? Please & Thank You

wait until someone mods some Normandy parts on, Going to be insane some of the mods in fact screw that imagine if some modder just straight up rips a to scale Normandy into the game! 😢

If/when they add mod tools, that is my plan. If the mod tools work the way I'm assuming they will, it wouldn't be difficult to port both the exterior AND interior of the Normandy into the game. You probably wouldn't be able to customize it in the ship builder, but at that point who cares haha

@@vladimediagaming Yeah I mean if fallout can basically port versions of weapons and armour from other games, create entire new maps, systems and objects for settlement building then I can't see if being a total out of possibilities to mod into the game a fully functioning Normandy

Did you make this video in reverse by deleting items from the built ship? Nice way of doing it so we don’t need to see you navigate menus

That is correct, I figured it would make everything more streamlined. Plus, you can see the names of the parts on the left side of the screen, so you don't really lose anything. Thanks for noticing!

The ship builder is very limited, especially when it comes to the size of the ships you can build. If you can find a way to remove the ship size limits without a mod (maybe console commands?) then you wouldn't need anything else.

Ah, yes. You very well may need one to do that. Alternatively, you can move the cockpit up to the front end of the ship and remove one of the front stroud caps.
