Hey guys here is my design of the Razor Crest. Tried a new method of presentation, Hope you like it!

Every single razor crest video I’ve watched I always think “why does this video even exist, it’s not even close???” and then I stumbled on this video. Best one I’ve seen by far given all of the stuff you have to work around. Amazing job 👏🏼

You can add more cargo. you can replace the Deimos belly at the rear above the landing bay with a 10ST - Hauler Shielded Cargo. you can also place a deimos bracer on the top of the ship with another 10ST - Hauler Shielded Cargo or Galleon S204 Cargo Hold. the only issue with added cargo holds is that it add weight but if you dont mind that then your good.

I hate buying parts all over the galaxy. There should at least be the option to store parts wihtout the necessity to fit them onto a ship first.

No ya I know I hate it so much too, I build all my ships at the outpost landing pad, but there is always a few part that you need to go to 3 different cities to get. meaning you need to play extra money to add a temporary part then fly to the city and them pay more money to get the one you want. i wish you could leave ships unfinished and it goes on some status (imcomplete or under construction or something) use another ship fly to the city you need and modify there without having to pay extra

I typically steal the biggest ship I can find, and then add the random parts to that one, it looks strange, but works great… then go to my landing pad to finish, so it’s a lot less of a waste of money. It is a pain, but for most builds I’ve gotten used to it lol😂 it’s a major disappointment that we can’t buy and store parts, or have a delivery option with the transfer stations, or to have parts delivered to the landing bay and add to the parts. I’d pay extra for the convenience

They should let you do a quest for the ship dealers and completing it unlocks those parts at your base

Nice ship builds. A few good features that I like are how you used a horizontal entry landing bay right next to the armoury and put the docker in the same room. This means you're not generally having having to try and get prisoners up ladders. (and getting kicked in the face) The living space on the upper deck is practical since the beds give you an XP bonus. If you wanted the leading edge of the wings to be a little bit smoother and are ok with glitch merging, you could have used hopetech 1 by 1's with a hopetech cap on the front then merged the demios structural wedges in front of them afterwards.

Hey, great video! I don’t have comments about improvements, I am just starting out in the Starfield, but I can say I prefer your design over the other ones I have seen too. Some of them seem like capital ships, and the inside of the Razor Crest seemed rather confined and cramped. Looking forward to trying out your design as soon as I can afford another ship ^^ (I began mucking around with the original Frontier, but I like it so much, plus I need to conserve credits right now, I kept it as close as possible. Just added some length, cargo, and better weapons and engines) Keep it up!

I build it at the outpost landing pad only thing I need outside of that was the reactor which i got in Akila. I also have the full list of part in the description with different places to buy the parts

Excited to copy this build for my mando bounty hunter build. I’ve found other builds of the razor crest but they all seem to lack weapons and shields so they’re not really practical to use. This is the only one I’ve seen where it looks like it can dominate in space battles.

I'm glad you like it! It really fun in dog fight and with the projectors and helion beam it does crazy damage, and with its light weight, she really mobile and fast. The vanguard shield is my favorite and is realiable, I use it in most of my builds.

Great build! Will try it this weekend, I'm on a new playthrough. I wish we could mix and match the interiors and exteriors! I agree that Taiyo habs are best on the outside for this ship, but it'd be great to get the darker interiors of Hopetech for the vibe. Anyway - I love it, I am all about smaller, efficient builds, if my ship could be a jetpack and 20 particle cannons it would be

I managed to squeeze 180 speed 96 mobility , 800 cargo and 8 crew members wich i use as anmbulant talking containers. And glitched snap some extra weapons onto the fore deimos cowling.

One gripe I have with the ship builder system is how theres no size difference with ships and reactors, I know class C reactors are much larger compared to As and Bs. Imo if the reactors were designed to fit with specific ship roles in mind it would make building fighters, cargo haulers or frigates a lot more possible. Basically the 3 reactor types would have their own unique parts and the higher the class the more parts are available. So Class Cs can use A and B parts but a Class A can’t use B or C parts. Not just the weapons, shields, grav drives or engines.

Nicely done. However, you could substitute a 10 ST Hauler (shielded) cargo hold for the Belly Aft. I didn't have to glitch in the cargo hold.

So as a rule a bounty hunters ship should have room for limited cargo, Engine room, cockpit, space to live so a bed a place to cook/reheat/rehydrate food maybe a place to eat but you can do that on the bed, some kind of rudimentary med bay if your more well off you may have a full medbay, a workbench to fix arms and armour and a safe place to keep it. Most of the ships I’ve seen tend to be two floors (I’m not talking about in startfield I mean in Star Wars games) with only the longer flatter ships been on a single floor (aka the millennium falcon type ship) looking at the Razorcrest ied say it’s definitely got two floors as the cockpit isn’t at the same height as the rear loading ramp but I’ve seen ships that look like -\____ with that front bit been the cockpit and down below been living space and cargo. Your ship looks fine ied say you did a good job on it and I think two floors is fine for the scale of the ship, it’s a shame they gave him a snub fighter as it’s totally not fit for a bounty hunter what if a bounty is to bring someone in alive is he going to strap them to the hull “”erm..... well they were alive when I took off that counts right?”l

@@esyyx Any time Also in case you're having trouble with extra slots, go for cheapest ships to board and register them through a menu on the bottom left Sometimes you gotta take them somewhere first though (I take mine to Red Mile) but you're paying about 10 to 18k for an extra slot

The Razer Crest is actually pretty big at: Length 80 ft, Width 54 ft, Height/depth 28 ft Its the size of a large house.

What I mean by small is that it's not a freighter, it is a gunship. a lot of builds I saw before I made the crest were too big when in fact it's not, especially in terms of Starfields ship scaling.

The taiyo armory has a bug and the hatch looks closed from below but you can go up with the ladder and when you are upstairs looks ok but you cant jump down you have to use the ladder. I tryed other hubs none has this issue except the armory but no worries since the ladder works fine :) Thanks for sharing its the most accurate mando ship i found. If the Armstrong cockpit could mount weapons left and right would be great though :/

That's very interesting to know. I ran into that same buy when trying to rearrange modules in one of my ships. Knowing it's just that 1 module causing the problem I can probably reorder things a bit to avoid having a ladder going up from the armory.

Well done. I also prefer creating a mostly nonblocky Design with my Ship. Wich is possible if one wants. As we can clearly see. From the sideview in space, i can't help but it looked a bit like the Eagle 5. The Spacevan from Lone Starr in Space Balls :D But no offense from my side^^

I just earned a Star Eagle. This. looks like the B Class ship I want once I skill up to it. Is it possible to buy a piece at a time? Like could I start a build and just have a few parts saved until I get them all? I could see buying it a piece at a time to help my ingame budget.

Yes you can buy lower lvl parts and upgrade as you go, the most expensive parts will be the engines, weapons, grav drive and reactor. the visual parts arent expensive, should be able to get the shape pretty early and upgrade you engines, drive and reactor as you go

Oh I'm sure there will be but I like to avoid the mods for ship building, makes the process more of a challenge and a lot more rewarding when you finish build and take off into space. I love ship building!

Also, I'm wondering if it would be possible to replace a couple of the 'filler' modules you used (eg the 2 Deimos 1x1 Companionways on the top level - the wing stubs) with a few cargo modules - just so I can carry SOMETHING other than a bikini and an A-99... 😎

I would say it cost around 200k to put together, the weapons are what cost the most. Yes you could replace the deimos companions ways for cargo modules, tho remember that cargo hold add a lot height so if you do add some keep an eye on the ships mass so you dont lose speed and mobility

@@esyyx Great, was hoping you weren't gonna say like 350-400k! Thx for the advice re-cargo modules. Oh and never apologise for using the word 'aesthetic'! Apart from the beauty and fidelity of this build, I really love the uncompromising pared-down fighter-plane approach. I get that there are space truckers out there, but I for one just cannot see the attraction in lumbering around clumsily in a ginormous pig-ugly hulk that basically amounts to a tanker or a ferry - except it's wallowing around in space. Nevertheless, in a game like this, sometimes you gotta have the means to grab what you can, stash it - and get the hell outta there. While still managing to blast your way out of trouble and dance around the enemy like a Swift in flight.

You could also go with the hope tech armory which is the exact same design but darker colored interior

Ya you totally could. the reason I use Taiyao is because of the better rounded exterior of the hab, I think it fits better. But you totally can use HopeTown's armory. If you want to do that, I recommend using the Taiyo side caps to keep that roundness to hull

After I finished following your step and went inside, the ladder to the cockpit is blocked but this black roof. Is that expected? I can’t jetpack up there because it’s a solid roof, but if I use the ladder itself my character will climb though it, which is really slow.

Yes for some reason the Taiyo armory has this glitch where a black mesh blocks the ladder, it's like that with everyone, unfortunately. if you're fine with using another armory then the black mesh will go away. So its not the build its just that one hab, hopefully it get fixed in a patch one day

For the Diemos belly, put it in place, it will be red, then flip it, and flip again. dont move it and let it go it should stay in place. you can do the same with the landing gear and fuel tanks. just place, flip x2 and then deselect them and they will stay in place. let me know if it works

Thanks! No I agree the interior sucks but I think the taiyo extrerior fits best for the design of the ship. i personally would have gone with HopeTech if its exterior had a better shape. Hopefully in the future we can change the colors of the interior.

Do you actually need to be level 50 to unlock the Nova 1050 engines?

Yes sadly. you need to be Level 50 and have Starship Design (Rank 4) in the skill tree.

What is cargo hold for this ship ?

I didnt add any. The cargo hold capacity is default that comes with the habs. i didnt add any extra. I intended the ship to be a fast Gunship with minimal transport capability like it is in the show.

For dogfights, set your speed directly in the middle. You'll get the best maneuverability that way.

Stroud mid bracer refuses to attach to the bottom of the landing bay. I wonder if something changed with this latest update. Was able to get it to wrk by attaching the Taiyo gear to the side first then glitch attaching the side cap port afterwords.

It never did, just have it hover under the bay, be sure it even in the middle so the gear can attach to it

To build the whole ship or to get certain parts? i built 95% of the ship at the outpost ladding pad. For the parts I put the whole list in the description with locations of where to get each part.

Yes so what you do is build the ship as much as you can at one location enough to make it fly then go to different outpost/cities and buy/swap the parts you need

Wait what do you mean "same place"? are you in Akila city? if you so than that explains it, Only the outpost landing pad has most items if you build the ship at the outpost landing pad you can build 98% of the crest then you need to go to Akila for the Ion Beam H-1030 Reactor and New Homestead for the NG - 20 Landing Gear and then the build is complete

Ive been wanting to do star trek or see it. Those ships are too big for the fun value. I made a terran battlecruise venator class hybrid. I think it looks cook as hell. I wanted to do the Outrider from star wars but i ended up with a milenium falcon outrider hybrid. Which once again just is awesome. Oddly enough its easy to make ships that would fit in the star wars universe but not star trek. I feel like the outlaw Star wouldbt be hard to make.

Ya, a lot of Star Trek ships look weird with the parts we have atm, going to wait and see if Bethesda adds more round parts. I'm actually working on an Outrider as well but ya it's not easy. No, the Outlaw Star wouldn't tho it would have a more edged hull rather than a round one
