I go over every single skill in Starfield and tell you which ones are the best and which ones are awful. This way you can save your skill points and not waste them on useless things. This game has no respec, no do-overs, so once you spend your points, that's it there's no getting them back. By knowing which skills are the best and which ones are the worst you'll make a better decision to grow your character as you play Starfield.

Great video. I agree with you on most things but I genuinely enjoy space suit and weapon mods. It's fun to me extra capacity and pockets are great. Then changing sights on weapons I don't like or something

More oxygen, heal better,, sneak better, more carry weight... it's a good skill that can replace or be a place holder for other skills.

Pro Tip: Manipulation can be leveled multiple times for free if you replay the Ryujin questline multiple times. Free points!

Weapon engineering is actually insanely op, youre so wrong For example, i found and smg (magstorm) with pump bullets, it had an insame damage but was semi auto/no attachments I upgraded it and made it full auto, and i could kill a terrormorph on very hard in a matter of seconds

Zoology and botany allow you to scan less things to get 100%

I could never play like Benji lol. I just spent 3 hours on Bel? Killing, scanning, and looting for fun. The dinosaur things there are so cute, hate killing them, but I need experience and lubricant for crafting!

Great video, but I wish some of the opinions where not based on glitches or internet knowledge. Basically would this science skill be worth it if I was not cross referencing a website, or cargo be worth it if this glitch wasn't there etc... Anyways aside from that critique, I always enjoy your vids and your style of presentation.

Lasers level 4 is game-braking OP because it makes the cutter a superweapon. I levitate a Terrormorph and kill it in less than 10 seconds without taking a single HP of damage.

great video, for spacesuit design : 2 points makes you have +20 carry capacity, resist explosion,auto medic below 25% is useful and ballistic weapons systems rank 2 for ships : recharge 15% faster without targeting is nice to have, it's a great early space combat skill

Great vid & pretty much on target... tho I do have to disagree with the crafting skills... they are S-tier for convenience & as a stealth build/pack rat player caftable mods are heavenly because... well...suppress everything is a given & the armor ones lessen the weight (more weight= they hear you more) of the ultra good gear 'cause yeah I might just hate wearing a 20Lb+ spacesuit but whip it on the machine & I can bring it down to under 16Lb & added mods to make me less detectable along with that weight loss less detection perk lol... so don't underestimate the science tree it does have it's use for certain types of gameplay beyond the outposts tycoon types.

Weapon mod is worth getting to 4 IMO as I always find I have certain weapons I like with scope X or sight Y and it varies from weapon to weapon and arguably its worth it just for the Hornet's Nest mod for the Coachman shotgun.

This was a great overview of the skill system and how some of them really don't stack up. You can make incredibly bad builds that make very hard mode a living hell. Great overview and thanks for the help!

There are bad skills? Yes... Did I take some of them? Probably... ... but I'm so addicted to simply "roam around and crush things" that I not even at half of the main quest and over 220 levels: I got all "the best skill" maxed and starting placing points at random just because "I have the points lying around".....🤣

I'm playing a diplomat turned bounty hunter, so those two trees are where most of my level 58 points have gone. I only put one point into the socials that lead to extra dialogue options because they're too gimmicky to try and use in a fight in my opinion (Diplomacy for a stealth attack is potentially neat, but there's a starborn power which does it so much better and works on pretty much everything). Manipulation, when it pops up in a persuade check, is usually HUGE ... +5 for green difficulty. Mind you, even with Persuasion 4, a MK III +15% neuroamp, and persuasion clothes I still fail greens on a regular basis...

Nutrition are for those who are willing to sink four points into it just for an extra 1% XP boost. Seriously, XP buffs are the only thing I use food for, and it took a full FOUR RANKS to boost it from 2% to 3%. Modders need to Buff this, ASAP.

I had those feels w chameleon + ironsighted weapons. I. Couldnt see. The sights. Or the predator view thats so bright I cant tell if a target is behind a wall. Arg.

There's a "bug" wherr u can do power attacks super fast one after another if u hold block so lv 4 martial artists might be better for melee power attack build

i felt the same way watching the video, i personnaly dont see this game as one to be "won" but rather 'completed' and when you are going at a slow pace, making stuff yourself is actually quite enjoyable

Nutrition is better than you think. Some of the buff combos are killer, they last way longer that Pharma and no addiction.

They don't stack or "combo" with medicine items. They can actually hog buff spots. Addiction is a non-issue cause you just junk flush and it's gone.

EVERYONE likes Weapon Mods, so you'll still want a single point in special projects. Even though I know many tricks for finding OP weapons, I still like having weapon mods. If there's a damage number, it needs to be higher. If there's a delay, it needs to be lower. *These are the rules.*

The weight lifting rank 4 is better than 1,2, and 3 combined you had it right by saying that lol. Rank 4 is 100 kilos and 1,2, and 3 combined is 85 kilos

I have 3 saves total. On my very first save, I went 52hrs to level 23 before he dropped his OP Start Guide video on the Cyber Runner start and convinced me I needed to start over LOL, which is why I have the other 2 saves (one being my main save at Level 62, and the other being a copy of that main save from Level 50). Still have not gone back to my very first save 😂

So just yesterday, while increasing my level of piloting skills In the simulator. I did what you said, got up hack the computer made it super easy by giving an extra UC ship to help me. ........ Then I proceeded to blow up that UC ship along with the pirates I only had to do the simulator 3 times I had my 30 kills no problem. And only going to level 5 each time. I couldn't test this theory but those UC ships gave me almost quadruple the kill value....... Just saying.

As in kill 30 ships. I only killed 5 or 6 maybe.....I could Be mistaken. Math time: Round 1. 1 pirate, 1 UC ship Round 2. 2 pirate, 1 or 2 UC ships? Round 3. 3 pirate ships Round 4. 4 pirate ships Round 5. 5 ish pirate ships ....get up leave simulator Grand total of maybe 16 ships killed. Shit then that would be right, 2 simulator jaunts and level 4 piloting would be complete. I'm a moron......sorry.

When NPC's give you gifts it's random. There's a fried chicken food in the game, but it isn't exactly named that, but the image is that of fried chicken.

I have to say I agree with most of this. I will add that every one of these, with a few exceptions, are really geared towards role-playing. I really like this game, and love playing it, but it is poorly balanced therefore making most of these skill points totally unnecessary, as you point out. IMHO however, I think if you're going into this game with the desire to role-play certain character arch-types and play in a certain way than every single one of these has a point and a purpose.

Also referring to guides on how to frankly cheat / glitch the game to have unlimited money. Why bother to play the game if you have to cheat to complete, then moan about skill tree cus u can scum the game so much skills are pointless.
