Hi - MonkeyChief117 here - thank you for the great review! I've added a link to this video on the mod description on Creations. You did miss a couple of items - there is a Sysdef pilot pack etc. I didn't change any item names (apart from Urbanwar to Desertwar), so it is confusing, and some items are very rare to find without spawning in via console. In terms of the fixes/tweaks I mentioned in the description, there were some bugs in vanilla that stopped some pilot suits appearing in game etc. Changed some gloves on the suits and the marine fatigues too, no other weird additions! And yes the black visors are indeed custom! Lastly Marines IRL are in the Navy, and do wear camo e.g. British Royal Marines
@@killer_e3054 I have very little interest in the FS Collective honestly - I feel Bethesda put 10% the amount of effort into them as they did the UC. I have been looking at the Crimson Fleet recently though, and I am tempted to do something with them...
@@RobbieB2606love this mod thank you very much for your effort/time everything you put in to this mod and sharing it with us and your right Bethesda did horrible with the Freestar collective all the more reason for you to hook them up and show how it's done like you did here 😃 with your imagination, knowledge, effort and class you would do an outstanding job with them also and they need it really bad so I want to just ask that you maybe give it a bit more of thought before you pass on the FC please they need a overhaul seriously bad
@@RobbieB2606is there a specific way to load these in the load order? I have all your kids installed on creations but it seems like I can’t them all loaded in together for some reason. Thank you for replying to comments 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Those look AWESOME and they’re FREE so very cool. My character (and crew) are UC so these will fit right in and I’ve always wanted to change up their stuff somewhat…👍
3:41 Looks like US Navy Working Uniform Type-1, which the Navy adopted in 2010. 22:05 The US Navy does use a green color scheme now though. The NWU Type-3 is green and it phased out the Type-1 around 2019. I know this isn't the US Navy, but it certainly looks as if the mod author based the camo off of them, and they gave the various types to the different Navy branches in game. I do hope more are added in the future though. I would like to see an Urban or Snow camo.
I always thought that the biggest problem with the 'blue berry' camo pattern was you were now camouflaged with the sea if you went overboard. I retired before the Type-1 came out.
In universe, I believe the Navy takes the role of Army and Marines. Sysdef takes the traditional Navy with some Air Force role. Security takes more of the Coast Guard role. Vanguard is like the National Guard.
The army in UC is currently disbanded probably due to Armistice military restrictions. But the UC Army general can be found at Mast in her office. Coping that the UC needs a strong military. The UC Navy takes the role of defending the UC against foreign enemies like the FC and or Va’ruun. Using Marines as their ground force due to the UC army disbandments. Marines being another branch of the navy. Both are currently training (for a probable second colony war) or patrolling their boarders. Sysdef was formed to specifically take on piracy. Aka crimson fleet, so yes. Coast guard. Vanguard being a naval national guard of a sort. I really hope we get more lore about the military of Starfield’s universe. And maybe a second colony war DLC.
I use the standalones for this mod and they are excellent. I'm using standalone for the criticism you gave about the fatigues and dress uniforms having camo as using the standalone versions allows you to keep the vanilla versions of those. I recommend his other mod for UCSec that changes the security officers uniforms so that they wear the white security spacesuits/armor while patrolling New Atlantis and Cydonia. He said you can't use it unless you start a new game but if you go up to the security officers and use console command "resurrect" on each they don the white security spacesuit/armor.
I found a UCSEC heavy armored marine suit. It's blue with white shields, white boost pack (which i had to console command in after finding the suit). Never seen it on any npc in the game. Weird. Nice mod, nice review CF!
Awesome showcase! Still trying to collect all these armors in game. Fun fact you can pair this with the UC ReUniform mod to create an even higher quality UC revamp in my opinion.
I've been using this mod for a while now and it is absolutely cool🎉 I also look forward to some kind of DLC will you play as one of the military factions and have their own storyline Freestar Collective versions of this mod as well. The Starfield Universe has potential for many stories and I like the military potential specifically. There is so much star treky, Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica type stuff going on in this world but somehow we seem to dumb it down to Return of the Jedi in casting spells all that stuff. But there's room for so much more without having to be a Halo clone. With the right mods installed you can be taken out of the fight just like if you were playing Arma 3 or a Call of Duty quick fast end of playthrough and to be honest I enjoy that aspect because it doesn't break the immersion of having all these superpowers. I like the idea of a regular guy or a girl forced into extraordinary circumstances and having to figure them out with Companions and a gun
They are marines, even marines being party of the navy they dress as army usually, in a universe like Starfield it doesn't make much sense to the army exist if you think for a second, Jemison and the entire system is controlled by one faction, the only action a army would see is planetary defence if the enemy can pass the navy blockade, all military operations involves the embarking of troops in starships and drop them out in different planets, I see the UC Sec more army than anything else. It's been a long time since I first downloaded this mod even before the CK, I boarded a Vanguard Falcon once and all crew were wearing the uc navy fatigues.
I like the Suits/Armor and the packs, but what is it with the 'Blast' shields being down on half of the helmets? The uniforms are nice, maybe some more headgear can be added. So officers wear skirts with their trousers, should have been a Kilt! As for the Camo patterns, you'd think by the 23rd Century they would have developed chameleon so it would shift with the environment.
Has anybody ever stopped to ask that why do we have a flight suit designated for a specific Pilots, but there's no Fighters or single seat craft specifically designated for snub fighting. No x-wings no Tie fighters no Colonial vipers not even selling Raiders. Of course in the ship build you can make your own and it would look pretty cool too no doubt. But it seems to be all the space suits have the capabilities of containing their own atmospheres so why do we need a specific space suit for Pilots when the Marine suit seems to do just as fine or even the guys that work the ground crew isn't that a Curious Thing perhaps we'll have some shuttle Pilots or something
If I remember, Sys Def is the Navy that is the main heavy hitter for protecting their colonies and the UC Vanguard is a freelance division that is more mobile that can take care of smaller scale issues.
iirc its actually 3 different entities, UC vanguard are freelancer doing odd jobs as well as patrolling with a chance to properly join later, sys def is mostly there to supress hostiles within UC territory, they also do patrols but also larger ops and are better equipped and the last one is the actual uc navy which is their main military force
I wish they got rid of the metal visor on the UC armored helm and use the metal piece as the face and give it glow eyes so its like a hybrid space suit. I'm not keen on glass visors.
BSG really messed up in the organization of the UC's military, SysDef should have been the umbrella organization "System Defense Force" under which should have been the Navy (with the Marine Corps falling under the Navy's command), the Army and it should have been made clear it was very small (nonexistent) as they are in peacetime, UC Security and the Vanguard. If they still felt the Navy should not handle anti piracy broadly then they should have made a task force under the Navy rather then a separate branch like they did. Alternatively could have also put UCSec under the Army and stated in peacetime they operate as a police force and in war they are activated as soldiers.
A standalone version of all the UC military spacesuits would be better than this replacer version... The Vanguard gear is so nice as it is in its vanilla version.
So I downloaded this mod, but have no idea where to find the outfits. It says make them on the spacesuit workshop, i don't see anywhere to do that though. Can anyone help please.
