I had heard of flip merging but did not know how it worked. And I saw in the newest update notes that they restored the ability. I will have to try it. There have been a couple times I could have used it in designs.
There is another method: The Replace Method. You would use this for some of the bigger weapons that can't be attached to a specific equipment slot. Just use a placeholder weapon that is much smaller and can be placed and then replace them with the bigger weapon through the ship engineer's upgrade option.
@@CrimsonFlyboy - with mods is 10x faster and 20x easier :) ; Do you have any similar tutorial for PC ? I started a new run, after may update, on "extreme" level, without any mods, and any little trick helps .... in "extreme" modality you are toasted in most ships/builds.
