Your starfruit tree looks incredible, Jeff! I managed to get a grafted Kari starfruit tree last year, but sadly the grafted section has since died. Thankfully the rootstock has grown back, but still frustrating as it was very difficult to source and import it here. Hopefully, you will be able to get some bud wood for your tree 🤞

HEEELP.... I have 7 types of avocado trees, but I realized I don{t have enough space in my back yard for all of them..... Can I squeeze them into one tree___?? grafting wise ???
I have 4 types grafted star fruit. They all vary in quality depending on season of ripening. The best one IMO is fwang tung white second best is called hart a Florida variety. I also have Sri champoo, and bell but they aren’t real tasty and always have sour or bland flavor fruits. The best way to increase fruit size and appearance is to fertilizer with Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) I have found taste is completely dependent on weather at ripening
@@TropicalGardenGuy I can mail bud wood in April when weather warms and vegetative growth resumes. Fwang tung white is the best one for taste and size. Hart is lower production but golden and usually sweet enough. The others are just below average flavor
Great that it does so well regardless of being a seedling Jeff, maybe its hardier for being grown from seed. No doubt you'll be able to locate some named scions there 🤞
I have 7 seedlings I started back about the end of summer I think and I didn't think the flavor of the fruit was good so if they manage to make it until they are large enough to graft I plan on get some Kari scions /budwood to graft to them, Kari is supposed to be the sweetest best tasting variety.
Is the starfruit tree similar to my citrus? I get alternating years of good and less-than-good production. That is pretty consistent on alternating years for my citrus.
