I like how the access-panel is in a forest, overgrown with moss, but still shiny underneath. The ancients just knew how to make tech look like hightech. It just needs to stay shiny for centuries.
And here we get the infamous nitpick that was pointed out to the director _after_ the episode was produced: The Lanteans already had drone tech before they arrived to the Pegasus Galaxy-- there was the Alteran weapons platform in Antarctica, after all.
Noone said that the Lanteans were not present in the Pegasus before they moved their main city (Atlantis) to the Pegazus. If I were doing research on an unknown weapon tech I would do it in a different galaxy as well... Just think about how the Ancients had thousands of years of history and we barely know anything from the last 100...
We invented the cannon centuries before the musket. Miniaturization takes time and extra effort. Plus you don't usually move your entire civilisation to other galaxies if you don't at least visit there every so often.
@@christopherg2347 agreed, but the nitpik here is its going backwards. Mckay says they tested minidrones here and its where they first developed drone technology. But done technology was already in use BEFORE they came to Pegasus. He should of said this is where they first experimented with minidrone technology and it would of been all fine
Season 1 Genai: "We successfully kidnapped an entire Atlantis team. We have a nuclear weapons program that we have successfully kept hidden from the rest of the galaxy. Everyone believes we are simple farmers." Season 4 Genai: "Yeah we just run around forests shooting at people."
McKay's words were a script error. The planet is where they created the mini drones. And atlantis has a lab in it that makes zpms. The lab is out of phase which is why they havent found it. This was done to stop the wraith getting their hands on zpms should the city be taken. This was stated by one of the producers/writers.
