Tyler was excellent as Lucius, there's no question of that. Just for this one moment, however, Brolden was... brilliant. He just... I don't know how to explain it... portrays evil too well for his own good when he sings a villain song. I'll give you that Tyler actually was the better over all and has a gorgeous voice, but for this one number, Brolden was just too deliciously evil.
Kick it up a notch is probably my all-time favourite starkid song. Dylan, Brian, Jamie and Jim do such a good job of singing and dancing and being evil. plus the reprise is totally awesome.
Awesome! Luckily for those of us who can't go, someone managed to get almost the whole show up here. I honestly don't know where I'd be right now if not for Starkid.
Me either! My kids sing The American Way on the way too and from school everyday....They are 4 and 6! My oldest want to be Supergirl when she grows up and it's all cause of Starkid!
haha that must've been annoying. i live super close to the pageant, so i usually just show up on the night of a show and get tickets. but st. louis is great, so i'm glad you got to see some of it; and of course the starkids were amazing.
I traveled from NW IL. It would have been wayy closer for me to go to the Chicago ones, but I didn't know early enough. I am like 2 hrs from Chicago and it took about 5.5 hours to get to St. Louis! lol
Ah. That's not so bad, then. Like I said, I'm not ragging on you. I'm going to have to hide my Starkid obsession on Friday. My grandma's coming with at least two of my nieces and nephews, and she'd have my head on a platter if I were to introduce them to this.
That is awesome! I don't think I would introduce children to Starkid, though. (I'm not ragging on you, but for all their positive messages, there is plenty of age-inappropriate humor that I'd rather not explain to them.)
