Many people were pissed off about the genderswap of Stormfront in the television series, but Aya Cash did a fantastic job with the role. She portrayed Stormfront as someone you were actually scared of running into and hating her guts.
no kidding if you want the original, go read the original, what's the point of making a carbon copy of something. I like this version especially with what they did with Noir.
That's total Japanese anime to randomly start laughing like a psycho then give your enemy a confident death stare as you let them in on the joke of their own demise
Tbh there's also a lot of plot armor overall. Like why when she got a hold of the car didn't just explode the whole thing or take it to her to kill them instead of that weak throw? Or why when the boys where shooting at her and she got them on her rays why wouldn't she just fried them off? It's a cool fight but still has that "Villain doesn't finish anyone off" vibe
@@NobleAbsintheI think it’s because we know Homelander is a fucked up and evil character but still like him in the show, however, Stormfront is a fucked up and evil character and we just simply hate her. That could be why it was more satisfying to watch Stormfront get beat up.
A masterclass. Even the, “girls do get it done”, wasn’t cringey ‘cos it was referencing the cliched in-universe ad campaign, which made it genuinely funny and gave it believablility.
My wife actually hated this scene because it accomplished literally nothing. They beat her up, she leaves, nothing changes. If stormfront hasn’t shown up in the first place the result is identical to what actually happens. But people love the boys so they suck its dick no matter how dumb the scene.
@MarlinWheeler naw, this has the been the conversation since this scene came out, and it's true. This is a better "girl power" scene than the MCU Endgame. Captain Marvel needed NONE of the other female heroes' help. All 3 of those heroes needed each other to stop Stormfront. The needed Maeve's strength, Kimiko's durability/not dying, and Annie's power to temporarily disable Stormfront. Then they did the smart thing and jumped her when she was down.
I think Maeve could actually handle Stormfront on her own based on how well she stood up to HL (even though his heart wasn’t in the fight). You can even see that Stormfront’s hits really do t do much to Maeve, but Maeve can straight up plant her ass when she hits.
Maeve is probably the strongest female in the series as of right now with Storm front being relative in power. Maeve had physical power that could damage Homelander and diverted a soldier boy attack. I think Storm front is very strong and can evade Maeve but in an all out fight it will go to Maeve. You could tell that Maeve was letting the other girls get licks in instead of just f*cking her up fully lol.
@@ShadeSlayer1911 thats homelanders problem too and a lot of depictions of superman, they dont know how to actually fight because they hit so hard no one can stand a chance but like homelander vs butcher and soilder boy he loses because he doesnt know how to fight
@@Tyler-si2rj Yeah, once he fights someone who is on his level, he is at a disadvantage because he's not used to it at all. And I don't like it when DC comics gives Superman eons of martial arts experience on top of his other ridiculous powers too. Like damn, you can't even let him not have martial arts. He has to be S tier in everything. Supes is supposed to be a part of a team, so when he's good at everything and has no real weaknesses and is always as strong as he needs to be, then it defeats the purpose of having a team. Even his supposed weaknesses against magic and krypntonite are just there so that writers can claim he has weaknesses and avoid the label of Gary Stue. But when the plot calls for it, those weaknesses don't weaken him at all. Similarly, if Homelander was good at everything, he'd be straight up impossible to defeat. He needs to have real weaknesses for the human characters to exploit.
@@ShadeSlayer1911 I agree. They make superman too op when his fighting knowledge is and should be flying fast and punching hard. He shouldn't be able to counter anyone on his level. General zodd was a badass because he was a seasoned veteran in combat and his fighting skills make sense. And homelanders weakness as you said is if someone on his level fights him and they actually have expirence he is at a disadvantage and in the boys universe his only real weakness is his mental fragility from being abused and tortured so he has a LOT of trauma and it really fucked him up mentally. He craves a mother's affection and the approval of everyone. He's a very good complex villain
This comment makes the entire video even funnier. 😂😂 Like she walked into a pre-planned whooping and didn't know it was coming. 😂 One of those old school find out videos.
I didn't want any of them to die here, but it's ridiculous that that car got yeeted like 50 yards and quadruple barrel rolled through the dirt and everyone was totally fine. Earlier in the season, that van at the asylum rolled once and Hughie got impaled or some shit and was out for an episode or two.
It happens. Back when I was little my family got in a car accident on the freeway because my father liked to drive fast & so he was swerving between lanes, took too tight a swerve and the car flipped & kept flipping,we were almost completely on the other side of the freeway, the car ended up flipping all the way across the freeway into the grassy area 60ft away from the freeway, what's miraculous about it was it was the weekend & the vehicle being a 1990s Mustang. My family of five though just had the bare minimum of injury, just some bruises, maybe some cuts. The mustang also was a four seat vehicle,so I being the eldest boy was the one without a seatbelt,I ended up in the front seat area between the driver & passenger seat.
Yeah it can happen. If you don't deal tremendous force damage from either side of the vehicle so it "just rolls" the chance of being mortally or seriously injured is small. I had 2 car mishaps. In one I rolled 3-4 times then RAN 5kms to the nearest town to get help (phone got stuck under the car which was upside down). Not a scratch just some bruises. Ofc adrenaline does a lot and the next day I felt like shit but still, no injury.
To be fair, she’s a rookie on a team of sociopathic, narcissistic and experienced supes with tuned in powers and skill who’s fought formidable foes while she’s always fighting on the defense not trying to kill while everyone else is fighting to kill. Also doesn’t help much either that her power is only really effective against weaker supes/humans while people like Homelander, Stormfront, Soldier Boy and Black Noir are great in sheer durability, immense power, strength, and experience
@@atmodlee sure but barely, both were getting manhandled by Stormfront up until of course Meave, a highly trained combatant and practically as strong between Soldier Boy and Stormfront was able to put a beating on her followed by Kamiko and Starlight tag teaming Stormfront
I think it's because Starlight doesn't quite have super strength like the other members. Sure, she has superhuman strength, but it's not like Maeve or Kimiko's strength. I haven't seen Starlight lift anything heavy or punch through walls, if I recall correctly.
Ryan is the first natural born supe compound v is native in him so he could probably become stronger than homelander when he hits puberty and his heat vision is probably already in its best
@@Andrew-ww1hz I don't think it works like that since all supes at some point were Human even as embryos Ryan is the first organism whose body produces its own compound v and is natural for him the child of Ryan would be half supe since Ryan is probably the first one in a new race of natural supes who create their own v
@@greek_methistakes doesn't seem to be, maverick and andre in gen v seem to be naturally born supes as well since they have the exact same powers as their fathers
@@ejosjek52.87Nah, they're injected with V. They only have the same powers because they have a similar genetic makeup that dictates their powers but it's still just based on chance and luck.
Probably the funniest part about these "this is how you do girl power" comments is that not long before this scene. They were mocking that scene in Infinity war🤣🤣
Unfortunately Stormfront isn't wrong. Some Americans have no problem embracing the Nazi ideology just as long as the word Nazi is lefted out of the conversation which is ironic & disturbing considering the thousands of Americans that died fighting Nazi fascism during WW11.
It's true - America accidentally let thousands of Nazi war criminals into the country after WW2. It wasn't til decades later that work was done to extradite them, and it was during this time that Nazism saw a resurgence in America. They redirected blame for the financial plight of rural whites towards immigrants and Semitic influences, exactly as the original Nazis did.
@@ravenazima539 its true, its funny how most american GIs in ww2 are closer in politics with the germans they fought than they are with the modern left.
"So you can fly, shoot lightning, and are immune to bullets?" "Yes." "And your plan is to get in a fistfight with a regenerator and a wonder woman expy that can't fly?" "..." "Did you even think this out?"
@@blobpoop457 she should have been looking for some practical way to tone herself up in a fight. like some sort of specific energy the boys can contain and store for her. something that upgrades her a lot for when the time comes. because 90% of her fights, she is useless because there aren't enough power in the places she's fighting. even when she did in the finale against soldier boy, it took every ounce of her strength and power to even just knock him off his feet. once she did, he got right back up no harm done, whereas she fell to the floor incredibly lightheaded. kimiko is strong and can regen from basically anything, but she's not the most useful either. the sides are kind of unfair. they have to constantly rely on members of the seven betraying them, like maeve and a-train.
@@travisdingolaite6184 Yeah exactly ! When she was fully charged up I thought that's it, she's gonna unleash a devastating beam that will turn soldier boy to ashes but she just pushed him back 3 meters HAHAHAAHA
The way they all beat the ever living shit out of Stormfront is perfect😂the background music makes it even better. They beat her ass, old fashioned way fr fr. The way the guys staring like "Holy shit"💀
Two things I love from this fight: 1- How realistic it is. All 3 girls just kicking Stormfront AT THE SAME TIME (and not taking turns) while they can and focusing on keeping her down. 2- Stormfront STILL being able to defend some attacks and strike back a few times, showing that, although outclassed by sheer numbers, she was still the strongest and not suddenly entirely defenceless.
@@teru797 Yeah, she probably is, but I don't think Kimiko and Starlight did any significant damage to her with their much lower levels of superhuman strength.
Maeve's durability is much more tho no? She would always eventually win. Isn't it that Maeve is closer to homelander in durability than stormfront is to her. Maeve's durability was second strongest so far right?
The one thing I never got about this scene is that Starlight runs on electricity. She should just be powered up by Stormfronts attacks to give it back two fold.
@kerravon4159 Electricity is just electrons moving, plasma is superheated gas charged by electricity. In baby terms, Stormfront has similar powers but on steroids.
@@quarantinejet2312 Nope, electrons traveling through the air in an arc, are creating a genuine plasma by all definitions of the term. I'm not talking about moving through a wire, I'm explicitly referencing an electrical arc through the _AIR._ But dont take my word for it, just search for the question and it very clearly says so in the first few search results.
Poor Stormfront, this just wasn't her day. First her reputation was tarnished being exposed as a former nazi, got beaten up by three girls, lost an eye and then crippled by Ryan.
Gotta love the teleporting queen M. She can't fly, and we have plenty of shots of the open fields and road around them with no Q.M. being seen running towards them
This is genuine progress and representation. Three women, all of whom are well developed characters with their own unique perspectives and relationships, beating the ever loving snot out of another woman who is one of the most lovingly hatable villains on tv recently. So yeah, feminism 👍
I just love that they didn't do anything fancy or complex. They straight up jumped her and beat the piss out of her🤣🤣🤣 Kimiko coming back after snapping her neck back into place was what made it better. Like sometimes you forget in those moments she has a healing factor. And makes you wonder what exactly it would take to kill her for good.
Something that annoys me a little about these kinda fight scenes is that NO ONE EVER GRAPPLES. No one ever goes in for the ground'n'pound. No one ever gets a leg or an arm and just decides "Nah, not letting go again" and just absolutely leveraging the crap out of them. They fight like middle/high schoolers.
Because they have the training of middle/high schoolers - supes have relied on their powers to bail themselves out of every situation so much that they never bothered to learn how to actually fight, hence when they come up against someone on their own level it inevitably turns into an unskilled slugfest. That's what I like most about it - it wouldn't make sense lore-wise if they knew how to fight hand-to-hand effectively.
As great as this fight is. I kinda just realized that Starlight should have been stormfronts most dangerous enemy. Annie absorb electricity and there is no limit to how much she can take in. she can literally nullify stormfronts advantage and send all that power back as light. honestly, starlight needs gauntlets to focus that power
