I would love to use the resin heads on black bream down south with a flick bait minnow or a gulp, I would also use them in my local lakes in the winter when the trout are about and skip them along the top of the water.

Tom was never a chance of not enjoying wetting a line starlo. You can’t beat the subtle drop of a lightly weighted jighead on some of our finest saltwater species as such as bream. Nice video well done mate.

Hi Steve, I bought a couple of packs of Tom’s jig heads a while ago but only tried them for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Third cast scored me a 37 cm bream out of Patterson River! Needless to say, I’m hooked! Such a great product, can’t wait to try some of the rest of the range. Cheers & beers!

I been fishing for about 50 of my 56 years... Had some good times and now carrying on the good times fishing with my 8 year old boy.... His 2 sisters enjoy it as well but not as much as him.... We are out there at least 2-3 times a week ... Hes even learnt to use a bait caster, before i could. Now he wants to try his hand at freshwater. These jigheads would be handy in a lot of places we go, from the river for bream to the shallows in the dams and rivers that feed it. And would compliment the originals in the tackle box.. 😁

As always a great vid. I love the ‘hang time’ that only a resin head jig can give. Prefer to use them over weed beds and around floating oyster leases or pontoon. When that hand time is critical.

Some nice blue noses there Starlo. I got a feed off the beach on Wednesday a nice rock cod and mullet plus a feed of garfish. Also got a Barra but only low 40s released it. Got it on a live garfish 😊

Another great vid mate, Tom's a chip of the ole block. Heading to Sussex Inlet in June hopefully in my new boat. I'd love to try these around structure in narrabeen lake and pittwater rigged on a grub for bream. Might even pick up some flathead too, not bad for by catch. I'd also be interested in trying these rigged on plastics for trout in the blue mountains and the snowys. As always Starlo tight lines!

I am a big fan of the resin heads. Simply, they catch fish and are very durable. My favourite use is with a switch rod using a skagit set up looking for flathead. Several huge whiting have been caught using them too. Will order a few more when I return home in a fortnight. 👍

This video was shot in NSW. The Gamakatsu hooks are actually quite small for their designated sizes. Those 1/0s in the Bugeyes are more like a No.1 and the No.1s in his New Original series are more like 2s. I don’t use anything smaller. We built some on 2s but they’re too small to sit well with most popular bream plastics.

Hi Starlo, great content as usual. I noticed that the jig head wasn’t tied on with a loop knot, any reason for that? Cheers

Thanks! I usually tie a Uni leaving a very small loop. It typically tightens down when a fish is hooked. However, in light leaders (under 8 pound) it’s really not essential as the leader is flexible enough.

I'd love to use these resin heads around some of my favourite mangrove lined country in my local area. Being able to flick these in around the mangrove roots with minimal snagging, was one of my all time favourite ways to use resin heads many years ago, attach a flick bait style plastic to them and they are absoultely deadly in that country. I'll be buying a few packs of these soon to give them a red hot go!
