Heard this song way back in the 70s and never really thought much of it. I did recall my Dad and I heard this song back then and we thought it was cool (from a then 7 y/o's perspective). My Dad died 2 weeks ago.. On the plane ride home I was watching The Martian. This song came up and brought back memories.... Come to find out it was by Bowie. When i arrived home (24hrs later), I played the song on YT. In my humble opinion... Bowie's version didn't have the same effect on me as you guys did. Here I am, a grown man sobbing like a 7 y/o. Your cover gave me my much needed closure. RIP David Bowie.. RIP Dad.... Thank you for the cover.
Florante Manuel, this is an amazing story that bought a proud tear to my eye. We are all sending our love to you ❣️. Thank you for the review and the fantastic comments.
No the original is way better than this decent effort the problem with this version apart from the orchestration is the voice is good but too X factor i was 11 when bowie released this and it blew my generations mind but it is a lovely tribute but ive heard this type of voice too often these days it has for me no singularity sorry but im just being honest
Hi Helena. Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a nice comment. We had lots of fun recording this and it’s lovely to hear positive comments like yours. We try hard to make each song sound as good as possible, but with this one it felt really special. We’re glad you got to hear it all the way in Argentina. Take care. X
Hi Soy, a young singer like you does the best in studying David Bowie. My favourite was Cygent Committee ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OKMSgZo9c8s.html, Which song do you like most of all?
From a time I thought the world could only get better. And here we are living a distopic present. Love from Brazil... I can only hope things change for the better...
I am from Germany and one of the poor generation who first heard of Bowie when he died. I didn't look up his music though, and so it wasn't until the SpaceX Falcon Heavy Launch this year with all it's Bowie references that I actually discovered his music. As a music enthousiast, I absolutely love his compositions. They are one of the greatest things that could happen to mankind. I absolutely love your cover, you nailed it.
Fickachu Donnercock Thank you so much for your lovely comments. We’re so glad you found us and our video. Hope you can enjoy many more and you get to see our live show one day; here in the UK or in Germany!
I’m so glad young people today are still enjoying these songs like me. Me and my Parents weren’t around when this came out but my Mom heard it one day and ended up enjoying it. In turn, so did I even though I’m an early 2000s kid, and I used to be embarrassed that I liked these songs and thought I would be made fun of for liking this music. For years none of my friends knew I listened to this. I have decided to not hide this part of myself anymore. They will find out soon. 🙂 I enjoyed this. Thank you!
Didn't know what time it was, the lights were low I leaned back on my radio Some cat was layin' down some rock 'n' roll "Lotta soul, " he said Then the loud sound did seem to fade Came back like a slow voice on a wave of phase That wasn't no DJ, that was hazy cosmic jive There's a starman waiting in the sky He'd like to come and meet us But he thinks he'd blow our minds There's a starman waiting in the sky He's told us not to blow it 'Cause he knows it's all worthwhile He told me Let the children lose it Let the children use it Let all the children boogie I had to phone someone, so I picked on you Hey, that's far out, so you heard him too Switch on the TV, we may pick him up on channel two Look out your window, I can see his light If we can sparkle, he may land tonight Don't tell your papa or he'll get us locked up in fright There's a starman waiting in the sky He'd like to come and meet us But he thinks he'd blow our minds There's a starman waiting in the sky He's told us not to blow it 'Cause he knows it's all worthwhile He told me Let the children lose it Let the children use it Let all the children boogie Starman waiting in the sky He'd like to come and meet us But he thinks he'd blow our minds There's a starman waiting in the sky He's told us not to blow it 'Cause he knows it's all worthwhile He told me Let the children lose it Let the children use it Let all the children boogie La, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la La, la, la, la La, la, la, la La, la, la, la La, la, la, la La, la, la, la La, la, la, la La, la, la, la La, la, la, la La, la, la, la La, la, la, la La, la, la, la La, la, la, la La, la, la, la La, la, la, la La, la, la, la La, la, la, la La, la, la, la La, la, la, la La, la, la, la La, la, la, la La, la, la, la La, la, la, la

Adorei o cover. Bowie no céu........claro.
... a melhor versão que já vi e ouvi... Com muita admiração ao saudoso Bowie, mas em minha opinão, ficou bem mais bacana que as versões dele. Parabéns Chip's.
@@ChipShopBoysOfficial Hahaha, glad to hear that! If you check out this video from minute 16 on you will understand my mistake: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YzKLbB5B0tg.html
