When you started the tree with that very light gray I knew I was in for a real treat! The layering and shading was so carefully placed and it all made perfect sense as the tree came to life. Watching you create wood, leaves and flowers with such careful layers and high lights is really fun! Thanks for another wonderful learning experience! I hope I never catch up on all the videos I missed before I discovered you!
Thank you so very much for showing the colors as you use them. I have 48 set of new PrismaColors too and this helps me to learn the colors. Shows me that I should have got a bigger set with more colors. Now I am shopping open stock for more colors. lol This is so beautiful. I even like the kind of music you play on your videos. Just sets the mood. I also love that you just use the pencils. I like how you keep it simple. Not a lot of accessories. Except the white gel pen that you dot with sometime. I am trying to find one of those. I am probably going to have to order one. None of the craft stores seem to carry them.
I just love your fireflies. They must be your signature in your art. I've seen you do this before. Thank you for sharing, I am learning so much from you
Can't wait for my book to come should be next Thursday 😀 love the stars in the night sky , looks like Vincent Van Gogh. The tree is just stunning😮 just started doing the garden in blomstermandala that's my picture for this week😀love watching you colour your a great teacher👏🏻
Chris, this is just b-e-a-u tiful!! You need to know, you are always the very first RU-vidr I look for every day. When I find another video like this, I comment AND I pin it. I have a Pininterest chocked full of beautiful coloring, and it's full of your beautiful videos. Thanks so much for coloring my days :)
This is so beautiful!!! I don't have this book, but seeing you color this, makes me so tempted to buy so I can follow along. thanks for sharing your work, it's stunning!
Chris- You do beautiful work-it really helped to start me coloring again. One problem-The numbers for the colored pencils are gone. I really would like to have them to help me blending the colors. Thanks Carol
I love your coloring pencil art. It was your coloring, that drove he to get the 150 set of Prismacolor pencils . My husband and I watched one of your Magical Jungle pages. I do my physical therapy while watching your videos. I have told many people, to watch and enjoy you creating art. Thank you, for my new hobby. One question, I get wax building up while I'm trying to add the layers! What am I doing wrong?
Thank you for watching my video and I am so happy for your new hobby :) Try color in really light pressure if you are making many layers. Happy Coloring!!
Can I ask why you started with the cream / off white color first on the tree ? does it help with the blending or is it to keep some area light ? Love all of your tutorials by the way :) I always learn something new x
While I'm not her, I can explain this. If you lay down a light color, especially if you use heavy pressure and fill the rough paper's grooves with that light-colored pigment, then it will keep that area light, even if you go over it with dark pigmented pencils.
Hi Chris, This is so beautiful and I love the background music. I am learning so much from all your videos. One question: How did you get rid of the drawn black circles of the "fireflies"? One second they were there, and then they were gone.
I am very new to the world of adult coloring. I know this is probably a really dumb question, but why bother with the white and gray-ish color at the very beginning? What does it do? Why not start with brown and go from there? All I can say is you are wicked talented and I'm wicked jealous. :)
Your artwork is so amazing and I only hope that I can become half as good as you. I have a question that I hope you well take the time to answer. When You use so many colours, like on the tree, the first two colours end up being coloured over. So why is it neccessary to start with the 1st two colours. Hope that makes sense. Thank you.
Diane Sanor I do agree! I always have to mute too. I love Chris's colouring - she's outstanding - but I find it very frustrating there are never any explanations either in the video or in the comments.
Yes, even though Chris's coloring is totally awesome, I also mute. I don't like the choices of music either. It's too strange sounding for me personally. Others might like it, I guess. I guess Chris likes it! :) There's another pencil coloring artist I like and there's no speaking either, but she wrote that she is not english speaking so maybe they are just trying to make coloring videos for all nationalities to watch and enjoy?
