I fear that while many folks simply do not, or care no to, possess the patience or capacity to appreciate this music - i am so so glad i found Stars of the Lid, this being the first song of theirs i had ever heard. This music is quite frankly just sublime and this piece moved me to tears. So very few things are created these days that hold as much breathtaking beauty as their sounds. And a shame to think of how many countless folk will go their whole lives never hearing. ~jgm

I got the answer: AW: The titles are really specific events. Things that really only mean something to one or two people in the world. Generally the titles emerge from the moments that I'm coming up with the piece of music, with something that's happening right then, that's scribbled on a CD, or the name of the file on Protools. They really only mean something to me and Brian or the person that the song's about. They're silly, of course, but not random. The last track on the record, "December Hunting For Vegetarian Fuckface," is about this idiot I used to know that lived in Austin. Meh...

stunningly beautiful music, but an offensive title. hunting is an unnecessary act of murder, albeit, less horrific than the nightmare of industrialized factory farming. please choose a diet of compassion rather than one of violence and selfishness.
You do realize that when you consume plants it often involves eating their offspring or the food intended for them? There isn't much compassion to be found in grinding tissue to a pulp to be digested no matter the organism.

But every calorie we consume of flesh takes 10 calories of plant matter to be created, so a plant-based diet not only saves animals, but also saves plants :D I also don't think masticating food for digestion is an act of compassion, but saving anything from unnecessary death certainly is! :P
