Lucas and Arthur Jussen play Fazil Says 'Night' which is specially composed for the two brothers. As an encore Rolando Villazon , Katharina Konradi and Elsa Dreisig sing 'La Danza' by Rossini.
The last piece made me laugh so much and put a smile on my face that lasted the whole day. I am walking elatedly humming "fringe, fringe, fringe, fringe, fringe, fringe Mamamiiiia" Thank you :)
Yes we have. It’s in our history, as we were all Calvinistic. Johannes Calvin was one of the biggest Christian reformers, along side with Martin Luther. Johannes Calvin managed to get a big following in the Netherlands and so we became Calvinistic. Like you sad, one of the characteristics of Calvinism is that you have to live your life in frugality. Another one is that you have to work extremely hard in life. In fact, Johannes Calvin even worked himself to death. So, that’s where it’s coming from... Because of the combination of these two things people often think the Dutch are greedy. That’s also why there are so much English sayings about this such as this saying: ‘going Dutch’, which means that at a restaurant everyone will pay for their own and not for someone else. However, the Dutch themselves don’t say they’re greedy, they indeed would rather call themselves frugal.
Пианистам нижайший поклон за всё. Однако насколько несносен вульгарный фигляр - ведущий и певец: самый низкий уровень казалось бы забытой давно в мире искусства презренных манер, что повсеместно связывалось с понятием «грубой немчуры»!
