Telekinetic isn't heavy at all. The bridge creates this 'metal' vibe but that's just pure growl which we see in Starset, this time it was longer and the guitars were harsher. But the verses and chorus is a regular alt/hard rock. Even verses were somewhat pop/hip-hop. Heavyness of a song is determined by how the instruments are used and weather they make the base of the song. More powerful the instrument more heavy it gets. You can make classic rock song with the same guitar, but if you hit the strings heavy and repeat it, it'll become a heavy riff. That's why metal bands usually (especially alt and death metal) have heavy verses compared to it's chorus cause verses make up the most of the song. Drums are much more soft on Telekinetic to be considered heavy. Chorus has decent classic 'Starset Heavy' riffs and that's about it. The bridge usually diverts the song to become regular rock. A bridge alone can't turn a song heavy. Manifest's chorus is hella lot heavy. Manifest, Frequency, Bringing It Down, Gravity Of You, Rise and Fall could be listed much heavier than Telekinetic.
@@Wardson Yeah, now that I think about it those are definitely heavier songs. Telekinetic definitely has heavy moments though. I guess the creepy atmosphere of the song just makes it feel heavier sometimes too. Frequency is definitely one I would wanna see a reaction to as well though! I always love the diversity Starset has.
@@ShoraiKiri Yup the scary/creepy theme in Telekinetic definitely adds an ambient. Yes absolutely. Starset is really hard to pin it down to a single genre which what makes it really cool.
The husband is watching his wife die and he's removing some bone marrow to create clones by using the proper recipients to have his wife back. His thoughts are ricocheting around at the thought of either keeping his wife to suffer or to let her go. It's a story about accepting life and moving on
That’s not at all what’s going on here. The woman was a genius inventor and was diagnosed with a terminal illness. Faced with her own death she created a robot that could try and “clone her”, hoping that she would be able to live again through the clones but everytime the clones didn’t have the same soul as the original and the robot eventually gave up and destroyed itself. Idk how you didn’t catch that but oh well now you know
@@eljoshsfgaming6335 I do think that the android she created had feelings however. Its easy to see it, with him mouthing "I love you" to her as she died and "Im sorry" when killing the first prostitute. He seemed to also have a loving relationship, and likely was also her husband or lover as well as her servant. Plus burning down the mansion and committing suicide, that dosent feel like programming. It feels like it personally made the choice.
Hmm.. An android servant trying to resurrect his former master who died of an illness by changing or attempting to change the DNA and memories of random girls who fit her profile. And when he fails he decides to destroy everything even himself.
Gibby, next reaction to Starset has to be their current single "Trials". You'll be throwing them banger shades on instantly...congrats on the wedding my man!
Hey Gibby, thanks for reacting to my song and congrats on getting married!! This song is one of my favorites because the video matches the song so well. Pretty much the guy loses his master (the woman) and he tries to bring her back from the dead. He was swiping on tinder just to get bodies to use. But even though he brings her back, she never really comes back. It’s potentially exploring a theory of bringing back people, but not souls. That is why she is like an empty shell even though shes back. Once he figured out that there was no way to bring the soul back, he couldn’t grant his master’s last wish and kills himself. Great reaction man and keep it up!
Bro I love your mindset on this video. I'm totally gonna subscribe and watch ur content. Just saying ur better than many of these guys who do reactions. Highly underated
Back in 2019, I had to have an emergency c-section so they let me put on music to calm me down some since I was crying and panicking. I don't remember a lot because they drugged the hell out of me but my daughter was born to this song because it was my favorite and still is on my top favorites. 💕
Absolutely, when you lose somebody you just have to cherish the positive memories and spread the moments you had with them that made you happy. We all have our time coming
Dude you gotta do Telekinetic! One of the heaviest to date! Also PLEASE check out Dead Rabbitts *Dead By Daylight* or *Echo* !! So glad to see you do more Starset man keep it rockin!!
How the fuck do i watch a reaction video but end up getting advice oh how to move on and move past pain. Well thank you for that for some reason i needed to hear exacly that today
I know I commented a year ago but I didn't hear what you said at end because I clicked on a different video. They way I cope with losing someone I am close to is I have to understand that they are gone and no matter how much I grieve they ain't coming back, so I ask myself do they want me to feel sad do they want me to have a hole in my hart, and the answer to that is it's okay to be sad but you gotta push forward for their sake, so when they are looking down on you they see you are happy, that's is how I deal with it and I know everyone is different.
So the running theory for this video is that the man was an Android. Built by the woman to be her husband/servant. And she programmed him with a directive of bringing her back if/when she dies. So he tries to bring back his master and creator using her DNA sequencing but they just turn out to be failures. Until he finally brings her back, however she isn’t herself. It turns out that he just brought back her body and not her mind. After seeing that he failed his master in bringing her back he kills himself and wrote that note because he was grieving. Pretty interesting to think about honestly. I just saw the music video today and I was really moved
Wow star set we getting out there with the bands now I like this group but it’s alittle weird ima be honest but I get I’m my moods where I want to listen to these guys, check out monster I think it is
He’s taking stem cells from her spine to replicate her. It’s like what humans can do with animals. But as it proves in the videos, it’s not the same person. Memories and experiences build the person, not DNA.
Yo Gibby I know you’re doing rock/metal reactions primarily right now, but please react to some of if not a lot of Juice WRLD’s posthumous album Legends Never Die, it does not disappoint
@@GowSpeedrunsAndMemes I'm assuming he means that the video took attention away from the music when he was hoping for more of a reaction to the song itself rather than the video
Start and The Start Society have always had a message about the advancement of technology and exploring how that technology affects our life both positively and negatively. In this video, a man (most likely a Dr) realizes that he is losing his wife. He collects bone marrow from her in hope of cloning her when she dies, using the bodies of women from an escort service. But each time he tries, he fails. Until he finally fixes the technology he is using and successfully recreates his wife. But there is something missing. She is nothing but a shell. With no emotion. No life within her. He realized she still wasn't the person he fell in love with. I took this video as Starset's way of saying that at the end of the day, we may be able to replace physical attributes. We may be able to clone what a person may look like. But we will never be able to replace what makes/made that person special. Their soul. This was my view on the message anyway.
