The CD Seasonal riders games were my life! I would play them for hours at a time, exploring every inch of Jorvik and reliving my favorite quests over and over. It makes me so happy to see my favorite games grow into something so much bigger

I'm most familiar with Summer Riders, since it was the first one I received from Penny/Pony Girl, and most of Autumn Riders (Spring and Winter I ordered separately way after Penny/Pony Girl closed shop). I played them so much I came to discover glitches like squeezing past invisible walls and even teleporting across the map. If you'd like me to provide more details or a tutorial, I'm willing to do so!
Your videos always bring me such comfort and nostalgia from when I played sso during its early days. I mainly played for the quests and storyline, so it's hard knowing we won't get a continuation connected to the old lore. These games were a big part of my childhood and I'm happy to see others create content and share my love for them. Love your content Kitty!❤

As a kid, I only knew of Starshine Legacy. I read about it in a now discontinued magazine, and I really, really wanted to play it. And I did! Well, only the third episode, Anne's. I knew there were more, but that was all I could find at the time when buying stuff online was still kind of new and a little scary, so if you couldn't find what you wanted offline, well, tough luck. Years later, I downloaded and played all four games to experience the full story. This is why I was so drawn to SSO in the first place, at the time I had no idea that there were other additions to the Jorvik lore in the form of Star Academy and Season Riders, and only got to play them recently. Perhaps, I do not have proper nostalgia for old SSO, or Season Riders, or Star Academy, but I like to come back to Starshine Legacy every now and again. It made me happy back then, when I still spent summer breaks in the countryside (alas, we had to part with that house), and it still gets the same feelings and emotions out of me now. I know that lore and story have changed since then. I know. But the original Starshine Legacy will always have a special place in my heart.
I still have the vivid memory of getting a virus on my pc for the first time after i tried to download starshine legacy from a random site- Never wanted to touch the game again out of fear- (I was a kid)
I remember when I saw your very first video here, I was so so starstuck that I'm not the only one being so invested in old star stable and the original cd games. It is such a big part of me & I'm so glad that other people are interested as well.
I loved old design of star stable! And the old characters, now i dont really feel connected with the ones what now, wish there was a button to change to old character
i remember watching my sister's friend playing season riders, it was a game i always wanted to play but she never let me. So imagine my shock and happiness when i found out about sso :3

@@helIokitti Yeah! sadly i got a chance to play it after the graphics update (i watched people play it before it in likw 2016/2017) so i was shocked at how diffrent it looked from what i remembered!
I still go through the Autumn Riders, since my assumption is that is 100% how we got the map for Online, it's so interesting to see how areas that are now in modern day SSO are so different and/or non-existent (such as Mistfall in the Autumn Riders, non-existent) in the Autumn Riders. Only climbing is made more difficult as every time you jump, your horse in the CD games is like a bouncy ball and just bounces off everything 😂😅
kitti !!! this is SUCH a creative video idea !!!! whilst watching this , i got a feeling that is really hard to describe ( in a good way !!!!) the design and soundtracks you use for your videos are SOO FITTING and pretty !!!and the editing is soooo goood ! with time , i got used to the new storyline , but watching this just really made me realize how much i adore the og one ! but knowing not all of it is gone , just made my heart feel really really warm :D despite my complicated feelings i think jorvik will always stay a second home in my heart. . . . as always, you leave me feeling amazed , i don't even want to think about how much research goes into these videos !!! you are seriously the coolest :DD

I was watching your video about Easter Eggs in Star Stable Online and I noticed the song that plays in the Star Stable Pole Bending Apocalypse is also used in a few other places! It's a nice little bit of continuity that I'm glad you pointed them out. You'd think they'd have removed it entirely when they removed the feature but no, it's still there, and I'm glad for it.

Omg I’m so happy people like you are making content about the Starshine/Star Stable lore. As a kid, I was obsessed with the Starshine Legacy games and played them multiple times with my cousins! I still have all 4 series on CD but they don’t run on my computer anymore 😢 I would love to play them again one day

Oh i simply adore easter eggs, i remember when i was just 5 and looking at my older sister playing the CD starshine legacy games, it was so cool and jumpstarted my love of horses! I quit Sso specifically in 2023 but now i can just enjoy watching nostalgic videos and playing the old games on my own! I also have a small video request and a topic i research about regularly! The games graphics and artstyle, the dramatic graphics update for me atleast was the straw that broke the camels back, afterall i grew up with those graphics and the fortnite-esque graphics made me feel...Well..Cold? I suppose i could word that better but it makes me feel so empty and sad..Ah but i suppose that it was bound to change?
your videos are always good to listen to whilst training. I've been playing sso since 2015. it's changed so so much and it's sad but I do like a few of the changes, like hollow woods. I really didn't like the silverglade change because of the difference in the layout of the village but hey, the changes are necessary for the newer graphics and more modernised look of the game. I will always love star stable and will always come back to it.

I am having issues with downloading it. When I use the free version on the website the screen of the game will go black. I also tried downloading it through a website called Old Games Download and the files were corrupt. Any tips?
Hey Kitti! (or anyone who reads this comment) First of all, great video as always. I have never commented before but I always watch and ejoy your videos. I have a question regarding the old sso games. I just tried downloading sso 2 right now and it booted up just fine. However that made my windows defender detect like 6 trojans???? So I quickly uninstalled everything again. Could anyone tell my why that is? Did anyone else experience this issue maybe? Help is much appreciated! edit: THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!! i've been searching for that salon music for years and finally I have a full version and there's no backround noise too 😭

awwwhhhh how i miss the fun seasonal quests in jorvik 🥲 i miss finding the love letters scattered all over Silverglade village and not being able to find the last one for the liiife of me lol. i really really hope we'll get something similiar and smaller events back in the future 🥲
