Stanford is such an amazing place in so many ways. Many years ago I had a baseball scholarship there but chose not to take it as it was my desire to play professionally as quick as possible. I have been to Stanford a number of times and of course follow all that makes Stanford unique. It was interesting seeing into your life. I enjoyed the music you selected as well. Have an amazing day. I am a new friend to your channel and am looking forward to more of your videos.
Applying to Stanford this year (PhD programs in PoliSci and Political Economics) and hopefully I'll get to meet you next September. I wish you all the best.
How to you find the balance as a PhD student at Stanford University? I'd greatly appreciate it if you would do a video. Please go into details on how to balance a holistic healthy lifestyle with your studies. For instance, how many hours of sleep do you get? What tips can you provide?
Hi! Can you also talk about what summer looks like for PhD students at Stanford?. Do you get a chance to relax, work full-time, conduct research or internships? Is there typically internship ops for PhD students?
It depends on what year you're in (many students in my program decided to take some of the summer after our first year off, at the end of our first year rotations). I think a lot of mentors here and the programs are also supportive of students doing internships in the summer, but it's definitely mentor-dependent and might depend on your thesis project timeline too...
