Correction - Glock did not run out of fuel. Glock was on dry tyres whilst everyone else was on the intermediate wet tyres - the track got too wet on that last lap for Glock's dry tyres hence how Hamilton got the place back.

At the end Hamilton switched to intermediate tyres in anticipation of the rain, Glock gambled on staying out on the dry tyres and picked up places by avoiding the pit stop. Consequently Hamilton was out of position, and needed Glock's gamble to fail. Which it did, just, at the last corner. Massa earned my undying respect at that race. He'd done everything he had to, crossed the line in a championship winning position, only for it to change over when Hamilton passed Glock. And he was the perfect sportsman over it. He as much as anyone else made it a thrilling season, showing us all how it should be done. Epic season.

Hamilton and Schumi are tied for the 7 WDC (although you could argue Hamilton has 8), but Hamilton has more poles, wins and podiums than any driver in F1.

Yes, but he also has over 100 more races in dominat/ championship winning cars than any other driver. And given his curremt form (and the team) he will soon fall behind schumi in win to race percentage. Another thing is that schumi was a integral part of making teams dominant.3 teams he drive for (excluding Jordan) And without fail, after 3 seasons with schumi they all became championship calibre teams, and then dominant. Lewis is great, but you have to admit that he has had cars capable of winning races in every season he's competed in and cars at least the 2nd best car except in half of 2009 and 2022

On that early overtake in the wet - you know how people say its always raining in the UK? British drivers grow up driving in the wet a lot, so are much more experienced in wet conditions compared to drivers from sunnier countries!

Fun fact: Felipe Massa, the Ferrari guy who lost the championship to Hamilton at the last corner, is right now in a legal battle with F1. That's because the former F1 CEO admitted of knowing about "Crashgate" (When Renault's Nelson Piquet Jr crashed on purpose to help his teammate Fernando Alonso win at Singapore, making Massa lose points) before the end of the 2008 season. So now, 15 years later, Massa wants F1 to award him the 2008 World Championship

it wasn't until this epic titanic battle that I knew what F1 is, and started following this sport. the first F1 race I watched was the very following race, the 2009 Australian Grand Prix. it was not a bad starting point tbh🤟

Abu Dhabi 2021 was a farcical ending. That was a disgrace by Masi. Breaking the FIA rules to gift the championship to Max when Lewis was 100% guaranteed to win his record-breaking 8th world title according to the rules was a permanent stain on the sport. Lost all integrity at that moment. And this is factual, the FIA admitted it themselves but don't have the guts to correct the result.

The changing weather conditions are the reason why Hamilton's first stop "looked like a disaster" but drivers that got onto the dry tires first had more of an on-track advantage (faster laptimes) while the guys who kept the intermediate tire on a track that had dried up from the first period of rain. 2008 was a mess in all honesty. Both teams and title contenders had individual moments go wrong for them in every race leading up to this (let alone Singapore 2008). Which is why this title decider is all the more magnificent for it. Brace yourself for a comment section full of "Massa is campaigning for the title to be overturned" (Singapore 2008) Yes he deserved at least one but not in the way he's trying to do it.

Glock had to get a police escort straight to the airport as the race was in Brasil and Massa who Hamilton beat is Brazilian. Also Massa is still trying to get that result over turned in court, still.

I would turn comments off on videos like this, still get a lot of hate and arguments from the Hamilton verstappen community. It be like your local towns baseball football or soccer fans arguing with rival fans, only a billion times worse… wish that race in Abu Dhabi never happened, And Schumacher had a ski accident 10 years ago and hasn’t been seen in public since, people in the comments making fun of a human being that has been in a Vegetive state for 10 years, saying he deserves it just because he beat your favourite driver or saying he was a cheat is disgusting, Read and monitor your comment section a bit better or turn them off on video that might get stupid idiots arguing with other teams fans or insulting people who are permanently disabled.

Schumi shouldht have been in that position if the Fia didn't give him BS race bans earlier in the year. And that incedent was much closer to a racing incedent than anything else. Several times in 95nand 96 hill attempted stupid moves,even taking out schumi in Silverstone. Anyone who thinks he didn't deserved,let alone earn that championship is downright delusional

Lewis would be the 8 time world champion if he wasn’t robbed. Red Bull and Max have been gifted two championships due to FIA corruption, this year’s is the first one they’ve won fairly although you could reasonably argue that they had the extra development cash from their cheating. F1 has forever been tainted but I believe that Lewis will get that record one day.
