This is an incredibly late reply but I've just been starting to learn Onyx as I am in the process of looking to buy either an NX2 or a Chamsys MQ50 so I have been spending every free moment watching training videos for both, so far Onyx is in front as it just feels more like what I am used to from MA. Anyhoo, my point for posting is I was watching your video and I was playing around with the INT Speed setup you created, now this isn't for the creator of the video, but for anyone watching, to get the speed fader to correctly go from 0 to 100, follow all the same steps as the video except when creating the actual FX, give it a speed of "still". What is happening in the cue stack is that it is treating cue 1 to be at the point it is specified in the cuelist but it is treating 0 as the speed fader being off, so it reverts to the speed that is recorded on the original FX (which in this case was 19BPM) if you set that to still then it will treat zero as zero. I hope this helps any future watchers of this training video as the video itself was immensely helpful to me in pushing my decision to Onyx.

David and JP this is a fab summary of setting up ONYX for a band. I plan to use it as Grind training (Grinding is repeating the training until it's automatic). There is one small problem ... for me it's like playing scales ... great practice, but will it help me in real life? Answer, probably but there are other things that could help me more immediately. An example ... I have two floor LEDs and 8 I can mount on stands (none of which are moving). What about a video about setting up ONYX so that I can arrive at a venue and decide on one of the following options: 1. 4FL 4FR two on the Drummer; 2. 2Fl 2FR two side 4 behind drummer facing forward; 3. two front 8 behind Drummer facing forward; 4. your ideas here. I'd like to be able to walk into a venue, see where I can actually place lights, and then decide on the lighting pattern (without starting from scratch).

Trash program, took this guy 30 minutes to do what lightjockey could do in seconds.....would've helped if an audio tech made this guys dull narration slightly less annoying
