First love these vids and using onyx almost every day watching these Even though I know how to do everything still gives me tips and a different approach which is sometimes what I need keep it up!

Can you please tell us what we need hardware wise? If I buy the nx touch, how do I hookup my DMX fixtures physically? Do I need more hardware? I’m trying to go from an NSI MC7532 to this. I know very little. Does the NX Touch have DMX outs to hookup my fixtures? How do I patch fixtures, are they addressed the old fashioned way or addressed individually and grouped in onyx? I’ve never ran lighting from a computer before. Please cover the hardware basics. Thanks.

Do you go over how to add in two more of the same fixture once the others are already patched, with the same settings / how to clone the first two's intensity / gobo / color settings to the new two?

is it possible to connect and patch real fixtures in Onyx? and if so, what will i need to do in connecting real fixtures to Onyx before patching/programming them?

I'm not sure I understand the question - this video is discussing exactly that! Once they're patched in ONYX, set the address and mode on the fixture to match, and you'll be great when you hook it up with whatever hardware you have!

I hit apply patch and the window disappears, but nothing is patched. Over and over. Also, when typing the name in , it shows up in the command line at the bottom, but not in the actual name window.

Hard to say without seeing it, I wonder if maybe you have an installation problem. If you're following the steps in this video and it's not working, try on a fresh installation on another PC.
