Start to Finish Circus, Circus Journal! - Part 6 

As always, something you said brought back a very old memory for me. This time, it was your little struggle with the word elephant. When my brother was 2 (and I was 20!) he had a big problem with that word, always calling it vallevatt. I was trying to help him by splitting the word up, and I said to him, very slowly - say el-e-phant. He stared at my mouth, concentrating really hard, and said equally slowly - valle -e-vatt. Then a big grin came across his face, he was so proud of himself, thinking he had finally gotten it right. I hadn’t thought about that for years - thank you for bringing back yet another memory! Aside from you always bringing back memories by something you say, it goes without saying that I also love seeing how these journals are coming together.

Morning Gayle, I am getting over my clown problem because of you. I am finally getting over my clown aversion by looking at the happy side of clowns. I appreciate the fact you are doing more Circus journals because the colors are beautiful and the pictures deserve to be in two more journals ❤ I absolutely loved todays video it was fun to go to the Circus 🎪 with you. I am not sure if you have seen any videos from Scrappy House Journals but 2 of her projects I think would be perfect for these circus journals. One was a pop up page (hers did not even have to be from a square piece of paper) and the other was attaching an item to a page with buttons rather than glue. Brenda had attached an antique baby bonnet. The closed pop up could seem like a tent when closed with a surprise circus animal for instance as a surprise inside. With the other, you could attach something with circus themed buttons. The buttons could be made from paper if necessary. As with your channel, hers has become a favorite of mine. Your circus journals are bringing back fond memories. Thanks.❤

Since you had to lose some of those cute animals on the cover, you could make those fabric cluster pockets like the Timmy fabric ones you made a while ago. I am sad that kids these days don’t get to see the circus, but it was so bad for animals, so closing was necessary. But the idea of fun, laughter, amazement and beauty is still wonderful. Fun journals!

Hi Gayle I am never tired of your crafting of fun themes ; circus beats bugs though ! With your popcorn cup you could perhaps cut tops and bottoms off & perhaps line the inside with collage stuff leftovers - some of those clowns in the hard paper could be used as a pocket (as you said) or a topper on the circus tent journal … perhaps too late as you have probably finished these journals in real time …Safe & happy travels watching grand-daughter …. Told you we have a lot in common my youngest daughter has four sons (10-3 yrs) she started an enrolled nurses course & is going on to be a Registered Nurse & congratulations to your youngest daughter on her graduation in May ♥️🌺🌷😕💝. Just feel so proud of them whilst being busy working & family commitments … we must have done something right , so they reach their full potential …. Such a very cute idea, I love the circus theme. I really like watching you process what each page should have. Thank you for sharing your various processes for each . Fun fact, my great uncle was commissioned to paint Emit Kelly, so he did 2, one for Emit, and one for his twin sister. They have both passed, but I was given the painting after my grandparent passed away. He is hung in my spare guest room.

Morning ! I agree that any journal you make, even if it isn’t one we will make, the ideas can apply to a journal we will make. I don’t like the tall journals, TN size, or the ones with rings to hold it together., but the basic ideas etc can still apply to any journal. Clowns, bugs, Christmas or any holiday, general ideas 👍. I still watch you. BTW maybe we need a shirt that says “I’m a crafter! Ignore the strings, bits of paper, glue & colored fingers” 😂
