I liked the bottle holder's retaining clamp. Nice upgrade from dog chain you see on a lot of rigs. It's not easy putting your work out there to be judged. I think it's really a nice job you did! Thank you for sharing the design and fabrication process.

Nice job. I love the U.S General box incorporated. I just finished my tig welder cart. Wished I would have watched this first. Drawers are always good to have with tig welding supplies.

This is the sturdiest tool box in to welding cart conversion on RU-vid. First one I have seen using the end cabinet. That gives you a lot of storage in a small space. Very Nice job.

The way you did the bottle holder was the same idea I had with one exception, bolt and nylock on one side, bolt and wing nut on the other. Awesome job .

Looks a lot like the one I built for my Lincoln mig welder. I eventually ended up widening it when I added an AC welder for aluminum. I put in shelving and store my helmet on it too now.

In industry, there is never enough time to do it right, but, there is always enough time to do it over. Thats what I like about your build, done right. I try to do the same in my shop. I enjoy creating things to the best of my ability and when I fall short of my expectations, Im retired and have time to fabricobble till I get it right. It’s what gives me pride in the finished product and just makes me feel good. Like you, I find the cost of farmed out work to be well outside.my limited resources , so it makes me more creative in my thinking and sometimes I learn something new. Life’s good. Nice build, should be a big step in the creation many future projects. Keep up the good work and high standards.

I have been thinking of using the HF box for the basis of a weld cart for a long time but triaging fair projects always seems to move it down the list. Thanks for the inspiration and visualization that will force me to move it up on the list. You have a new subscriber!

Best bottle support in all I've seen, well done, if anything that was worth the overengineering, the rest don't really care, but my two carts, the bottle was never secured good enough for me.

This is the exact box I wanted to build both of mine out of. However I went with the larger husky boxes due to price. I'm still on the fence on if I made the right choice. The larger boxes are definitely harder to move around. However they are much more stable. The larger boxes let me put more tools in them and use them for more than just welding related tools. So that saves on valuable floor space in the shop. This also means it's heavier though. The side opening drawers on mine work great when I'm organized and working in the shop with the welder in their specified space. However when they get moved around sometimes the side drawers are an issue. Ultimately I'm happy with mine. However when I build a new plasma cuter cart I may use the same box as you. Or just build something completely custom again. Anyway great job with yours. Turned out really nice.

You really did an excellent job. This is something that I might decide to do. I like the idea of having drawers under your TIG welder. as you know and anyone else that TIG weld knows that there's a lot of pieces to it. When you were talking about what the fabrication shop wanted to do some bands and cuts for you that's when I realized I'm a lucky man. My closest friend has a very large welding company throughout the state. They don't take in walk in they mostly deal with industrial fabrications. Whenever I need anything special all I need to do is go to one of my friends shop and they will cut and bend it as soon as they get a chance. It doesn't cost me nothing but gas money to go over there. Since I'm retired I do a lot of different repairs on my friends equipment. So in return I can ask them to bend and cut things and I can pick up metal that I need. Again great job. I love it when people cannot find what they're looking for so they just go ahead and design and build it their souls. My father was like that. If he thought of building something the night before he would sit there with pen and paper and a ruler and the next morning he would head to the store to pick up material and come home and start building right away. Unfortunately I don't have that ability. Most of things that I build are from designs from other people.

I thought I was the only one with the idea of using the H/F end cabinet for a welding cart. I was mulling over the idea of a Mig/Tig cart,using 2 end cabinets. Thanks for the push. I will make the cart black powder coated with blue cabinets ( I have Miller welders) I do like your design better than mine,would you mind If I steal them. I tend to overthink things sometimes as I have about 90000 designs in my head. I just couldn't settle be 1 until now 98% of it anyway. Thanks for making the video. Nice truck 67 or 8? I think that you have done a fine job, I to was looking at the Square Wave 200 but change my mind and now have the HTP 221. Be proud of your cart it sure seems very functional. I bought a box just for all of the consumables that go with a TIG and you look like all of those drawers will come in handy.

That turned out great. You really knocked it out of the park. I love that bracket that you made to hold your tank onto the cart. That looks a lot nicer than that thin cheapy chain. I'm glad to see that you took on the challenge of bending and cutting your own material. At price that they gave you for doing it seems extremely high. Again great job look forward to seeing what else you come up with.
