I LOVED THIS VIDEO...okay I need to calm down! I recently retired and decided to get back into a childhood love of miniatures. My first project I just completed is a recycled book box. It was a gift box containing small boxes of teas, so I made it into a tea room! Now I am beginning miniature greenhouse kit my kids gave me. It pretty, but needs something to make it more special than what the kit offers. This video is just the right inspiration. Thank you for the start to finish, longer format (not really long at all!). I tend to loose track of chapter type project videos. Thank you for sharing your ideas and talents. ❤

Wow - I love the white washed brick and stonework!! And I love the room box, even without the furniture (which by the way I also think looks totally cool). That fig pie was awesome - totally get why you kept going back for it AND why you designed around it! I love the longer content ~ I say "keep it coming"!!!

It was such a lovely prep board and I had it tucked carefully away for the perfect moment! It finally had its place in this room. I can't tell you how many times Ive designed an outfit around a pair of shoes or a set of earrings...same here! lol The room box could have also become a lovely garden shed space as well I was thinking.

I love it!! It reminds me of outdoor kitchens I cooked in in rural New Mexico. It's fun to have an outdoor kitchen! I especially like the aqua refrigerator with the flowers. 🌷🌻🌺 I will watch all your crafting videos, no matter how long or short they are. Do what you find easiest! ❤

I was so happy with the way the bricks and the wall turned out for this room. Yes the nest was part of the inspiration for the room and I was so thrilled to use it so I can enjoy it, instead of having it tucked away in a box. :)

oh my gosh i'm so happy to have found this on youtube after seeing your post on reddit! immediate subscribe 🥰🥰🥰 loved watching your process, from the satisfying grout to the way you painted all the furniture in that shabby chic style! so nice to have a look at your collection of miniature treasures too... when you said you lusted over that apple and fig board for months I laughed out loud!! sooo relatable. the way you fixed the table with a stack of pots....genius. i definitely prefer long videos showing the whole build! there's just something about seeing all the different parts of the project coming together at the end and looking so good 🤩

I was so happy to figure out a way to fix the table with out just replacing the leg with another leg, it felt like it needed a bit of character. Whitney! I just love this kitchen SO MUCH! Not only did I thoroughly enjoy watching you create it but I learned so many new techniques I haven't seen quite the way you've done them. The wall is especially cool and looks so ✨perfect✨ with the floor. The scene evokes such a magical feeling, it made me think of Narnia, only Springtime. 😂 I absolutely love everything about it ❤️❤️❤️....Wonder if I add moss to my real kitchen 🤔

You know I kinda felt that way too about Spring Narnia, it also reminded me a a children's show I used to watch when I was a kid that was called Faerie Tale Theatre and it was hosted by Shelley Duvall. It had this magical glittery feel.

I really appreciate your feed back. I'm struggling to create a video a week these days because of my work schedule. But maybe I can create a couple longer vids, with some shorts and one haul video a month..we will see! You knew I was going to use that tiny birds nest, it was just too darling and I had to create a special space for it! That prep board though, OMG, I love it and I think the colors are what really drew me to it, I wanted to be the person that would put on an apron and make a apple fig pie (even if I'm not a fig fan) lol! WOW, I am less than 10 minutes in and already I have decided I have to do the stone walls in my "underwater" dollhouse. It just suddenly made sense. Also, GREAT idea of how to make vines, who doesn't have paper bags? THANKS for the great ideas!

The idea of an underwater dollhouse is so fantastic, I've thought about doing a small version of something similar, but like many projects it's sitting on a list! What do you do with it? Do you keep it or sell it? That's my biggest hurdle when I think about crafting, what to do with it.

I believe that is the biggest struggle with this hobby! Where do I store the pieces once I've built them? My husband always says.."are you going to sell it?" and I just laugh cause I feel like the are a part of me! This overall room sits about 10 x 12 and I measured it to be able to sit on a shelf..but geez how many shelfs will I need! I will say that some minis I make that are holiday specific I can at least pack them up and put them in storage. I do on occasion sell..rarely though!

I love the longer format videos, although I know the algorithm probably does not lol. It’s very satisfying to see the project from start to finish in one go. On the other hand, I did like the way you broke down the midcentury radio project, too, when the first video ended I was satisfied but also really looking forward to the second. So, I guess that’s my very unhelpful two cents. 😂😂

lol, you are too funny! Your feedback is appreciated. I was curious because I tend not to do the longer formats because I fear they may be too boring, or people will just skip to the end. Sometimes longer may be better for the project, so I will most likely go between the two.

Years ago for an anniversary, my hubby and I were gifted a nice dinner to this fancy restaurant and they had an outdoor dining area that was covered in this huge wisteria tree and it was just so beautiful. It stayed with me and I was thrilled to be able to incorporate it in this way!

I love it! The longer video is nice but I’m down for whatever is easier on you creating. I know editing takes forever. This room box is so pretty!

thank you, yes I enjoy the start to finish myself. My schedule is very hectic with work and so I am considering doing less videos in the month but just longer start to finish projects..I go back and forth on it.

The curved portion of the range pipe didnt come with the oven/range. Its part of the bodo hennig cylinger water heater, and people took it off to use with the stove onstead. I found that out when i was looking for a bodo hennig stove and couldnt work out where the pipe bend had gone!

oh wow thats really great info thank you! The oven in the video is a wooden one by Town Square Miniatures that looks so similar to the Bodo Hennig, Its clear they were going for the same look! I learn so much from viewers, thank you for that!

totally appreciate the feed back, and I agree! I'm trying to juggle a more demanding work schedule and I'm trying longer form, but less vids a month but also better content with shorts mixed in! always trying to do better! I know you know what I mean!

I’m also trying to figure out my video schedule. I’m trying for every other week. It’s just what I can do with my kiddos needing me as well. I tend to do a lot in my videos so I need to perfect shorter form videos.

Hi Wendy! thank you for the feedback. My mom is originally from England. I grew up with her always telling me that everything is better there! LOL, I finally took a trip there and of course took her with me. I loved every second I was there. So much to see.

It's ironic as RU-vidrs like yourself always make the USA and Canada seem much bigger and better and you certainly have access to lots more crafting materials and miniatures! What a charming space and so inspiring to watch be created. The rustic look with the bricks, stones, trellis, vines and wisteria were so nice. The aging of the pieces and the lighting made it all come together. Beautiful job!

Hey good question! I just got a puppy and I have found I am constantly putting my shoes up on surfaces they weren’t meant for…maybe the previous person who owned this kitchen had the same issue and then over time the shoes were long forgotten until one day a mouse came along and thought it would make the perfect little house!

Hi Whitney! THERE IS A DOLL and MINIATURE show coming in Santa Barbara. I am praying you will be there so I can be all nervous and "fan-girl" if I see you. It will be in April I think and at the Elks Club in Goleta. My mom and I are going. My mom is 88 and loves dolls and is helping me with my dollhouse project. (she always swears she doesn't need any more dolls and is not going to purchase any....but she always cracks and buys something. It is so cute.) Hope you will be there.
