The same also applies to edges. Where you can select an edge and press G twice and you'll get what's called an edge slide, so the edge will only move across the adjacent faces.👍🏻

It's a lifesaver tip. And if you want the vertex to snap to another one while you move it along the edge, you can do it by having activated the snap and pressing B and deciding with the cursor which vertex you want to snap to.

Awesome. Could you teach about this? I want to use geometry hair, without converting it to hair particles because the physics are hard to control. I just want the hair cards to render as particles but continue being geometry so I can use bones to control it. I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say. Thank you for your awesome videos!
