Instead of showing a continuous 12-1 run, I'll present a theoretical 3-star clear by combining footage from 12-1-1 and 12-1-2, totaling about 2 minutes and 59 seconds. I'm currently in one of the busiest parts of my graduate school career, mostly because of Ph.D. applications and my M.S. thesis. I had to stop before it cut into time I need for school, so I hope you understand. During testing, casting Noelle’s shield after her Burst usually times the shield explosion right as I cast Pyronado, but I messed up the order a few times in the video.

My M.S. thesis is on neural network interpretability. You can think of it as trying to understand and explain how neural networks work and perform well. I intend to pursue the same field for my Ph.D.; namely, computer science with a specialization in machine learning. Ideally, I would like to study graph neural networks, interpretability, or optimization in machine learning models, but I am open to other branches of this field.

I started this account a little over a year late into the game, so I prioritized going for constellations that helped with my DPS output. Barbara’s constellations past C2 don’t help the team’s DPS output, so I didn’t go for them.

It’s unfortunate that Kachina can’t deal much damage to Geo shields, so I had to swap her for Noelle in 12-3-2. Also, I was focused on raising more characters for the Imaginarium Theatre on the alt account, so Kachina has some level 0 artifacts on her, RIP.

still a perfect run! watching your spiral abyss videos makes me try a bit harder :) can’t get 36 stars even with neuvi, raiden, yelan, nahida, xilonen and so on 🤓 12-1 makes me displeased with its geo shields and huge amount of def stat on enemies. i even own a geo team with itto and still struggle :p poor boy can’t use his ult in time. i’ll try to save time using the tricks from the video bc with this abyss even my neuvi couldn’t help me haha. thank u for your efforts
I'd have lost a lot less hair had i thought of luring the castrated beasts to the wall. Easily the worst part of this current abyss assuming you can deal with the shields.

Thanks, 👍! It technically isn’t a real 3-star run, but theoretically can be one based on the merged footages from two different runs. Also, regarding the text, I did the following: - I shortened the text as much as possible, which does sacrifice some details that were important in the run (but not applicable to most players). - I extended the duration the text shows on the screen. - I put more effort into making the text actually describe what’s happening on the screen (if applicable).

It’s not necessary, but in past experiences, the difference between using 5-star weapons and 4-star weapons was minimal. I also need at least two Favonius users on each team too.

I thought maybe A Thousand Floating Dreams could be better than Sac Fragments, or maybe Ayaka's sword could be a bit better for the passives, or even Engulfing Lightning over The Catch, what makes the difference? Some of those weapons are definitely better than what I’m currently using. It’s just that I only notice a few seconds of difference when using 5-star weapons, so I chose to “limit” myself more. Usually, there’s a way to shave a few seconds off by making better plays and micro-decisions. The only 5-star weapon in that list that I think might be a downgrade is A Thousand Floating Dreams because Sacrificial Fragments resets Barbara’s skill, which is important for DPS uptime.
I plan to use Natlan’s theme in the 5.1 [2] Spiral Abyss. I just thought it would be repetitive if I used the same theme two versions in a row, and there were many Fontaine enemies in this version.
Your game play is insane 😮 also quick question, do you think levelling to 90 makes a huge difference? I have my mains levelled to 85 because i dont have enough books 😢
People have told me that it depends on the character and how you use them. For example, bloom-related reactions scale a lot with character level. DPS characters that scale off HP might be worth considering because HP scaling is pretty strong in this game. Some say that Bennett is another character that might be worth considering. There are probably more examples of characters that might be worth bringing to level 90, but that’s what I could think of at the top of my head. Of course, you can always just bring the character to level 90 if you really like the character, like I did with my starter characters on this alt account and the characters on my Melt Amber team on my main account.
Bro you are a fucking god I mentally gave up on genshin because I thought the game is just stupid powercreep and my dear Kaeya was ass and now you are clearing with him on the second chamber without Geo you are so fucking good… do you have any recommendations for Kaeya teams on the second half if you could use 5 stars?
Frankly, I don’t know how to play him outside of these starter characters only runs, but I’ll ask some other people about his playstyle. I’ll reply to your comment again when I have more information.
Yuxraal from Furu’s Discord server gave me some information about Kaeya, so I’ll copy and paste his message here: “Unfortunately, kaeya's floor and ceiling are quite close in terms of teams, in the way that you don't really have a significant discrepancy in personal damage from four-star-only teams to more premium ones, so "if you could use 5 stars" doesn't really add much to the equation Kaeya's best team in terms of personal damage is reverse melt (Rosaria, Bennett, Kazuha); though if he's at C6 then Kazuha needs to be replaced with Xiangling or Jean to keep pyro aura Besides that, he's also good in freeze (any second cryo but most notably ayaka, any hydro but most notably mona or kokomi, Kazuha) where he'll have less personal damage but can be a very good battery for the second cryo character This remains true if using a dendro character instead of Kazuha for a fridge team but they've probably been made full aware of that with your videos Lastly, C6 Kaeya specifically is able to enable forward melt Diluc (Bennett, Kazuha/Xilonen, Diluc), but it's a team where he's played as a support and loses out on personal damage due to er requirements, so probably not what the commenter was looking for”

My secret is just farming almost exclusively for artifacts on this account (that is, until the Imaginarium Theatre was released because almost all of my other characters were level 1 on this account), 👍
@tuxidokamen I’m not sure which one it better. If I were to guess, a Geo DMG Bonus goblet is probably better. Most of Noelle’s damage went into the Geo shield, so I stacked CRIT Rate for Favonius Greatsword.

I was going to congratulate you, but the gameplay has a continuity error. How does the time between chambers increase instead of remaining exact? chamber 1, 8 minutes and 38 seconds. start of chamber 2, 9 minutes and 5 seconds. WHAT?
