In this episode you'll see a step by step guild of how to rebuild a Denso starter motor commonly found in Landcruisers as well as many other makes and models. The second half of the video is how to reinstall the motor onto my 80 series Landcruiser.
I decided to make this video after being quoted $600 for a new motor and 2 hours labour to install after my car started making the dreaded click noise when I tried to start it.
All up this work took 2h 15min to complete including the filming and could have easily been completed in 1h 30min with nothing more than a few hand tools and low mechanical knowledge.
