Starter problem with Volkswagen Polo 1,4 TDI bluemotion VW-2015/09-019515
almost a year driving with the starter problem!!
As from 06/11/2014 I am a owner of a new WV Polo diesel 1,4 , s/n WVWZZZ6RZFY038725 and the Greek road number number plate is IMN50--.
Trusting the German workmanship and quality I have chosen this car. ( I have also a Scoda 4x4 combi fsi ).
As from the first minutes of my life with this car I have noticed that unexpected the motor can die if the revs will go low close to 1000 - 1200 combined with some braking. At the beginning I have faced this situation many times and sometimes it could be realy dangerous if another big vehicle was following me.
I got used to this driving in high revs and the problem was less but it was always there!!! Sometime I would forget and the motor will die, I will panic because without motor there is not steering or proper brakes!!!
After few months and having the problem still there I took the car back to the dealer, who said that first time he hears this problem, that is how diesel cars are!!.
In the mean time I was driving a dangerous car that can be out of power, very easily without any mistake in my driving. ( for your information the highest speed that happen the motor to die was around 70 km/hour as I forgot and on high gear on a light downhill I press the brakes!!!
In the mean time I started having problems with the starter. A strange noise and the motor did not start on trafic lights but you could see that it was turning around 300-400 revs but powerless, usually it takes 5-10 tries to start properly the motor. That was also very frustrating as I on traffic light was the stress if the other people behind you were getting ungy for the delays.
Dont forget!... I had a new car, the latest model, the latest motor!
Doday 15/09/2015 I tried again to go to my dealer, having the problem with the starter more often and having eventually not using the "start/stop" ( that I pay for that).
I explained all my problems, specially the starter and the "engine die " my worries about my safety having the car stop working on speed. They have checked the car and the told me that the car should pass major repair . Cluch, flywheel and more parts have to be changed in order for the car to be safe on the road. Twenty plus days for the parts and about a week in garage.
First I have to say that is really disappointing that nobody contacted me earlier to fix the car and I had to drive a really dangerous vehicle . Secondly again is a big disappointing than my new car , the car that I had problems from the first day needs total repair.
I dont like to have a repaired car, that I bough it new, I don't know even if the repair will be up to standards.
Anyway I dont want to take much of your time, but I have to say that I am totally disappointed from my purchase, I am totally afraid that still today ( after my visit to the dealer , and his admit that my car has a problem) I am driving a dangerous for the road WV car waiting for my parts to arrive!! at at the end I have to drive a car after a major repair!!
Regarding the starter,I am still driving with the "start/stop" disabled if it will be still there!!!!!!
