Very nice content Stella. I just got into the pokemon tcg beginning of this year. You made a very smart decision investing into the crown zenith set. My first tcg product I purchased was a Fusion Strike ETB which I later learned is one of the worst pull rate sets XD. You live and you learn. I learned about card grading and it changed the way I look at pokemon cards. We are currently in the middle of a pokemon tcg renaissance so you chose the best time to get into it. Like they say its never too late!

Your video is so refreshing and fun to watch 😊 welcome to the hobby! I am just getting back into it myself (it’s been a few months now) and I find opening packs to be very fun but quickly frustrating/a waste of money. I would recommend getting some packs (ETBs or one booster box - cheaper per pack) and then going the single route, buying from other collectors around you. I am not sure where you are based but TGC player is great for the US, otherwise you can find great buys on Facebook groups or eBay. It will be much cheaper than your local store :) even though you have to be more careful. Good luck collecting and I can’t wait to watch more!

I loved the video a lot, great commentary I would love to see you soar in the pokemon community if you choose to I think you would ☺️ I think personally if you want to keep your personal collection, I would focus on getting just cards. Yes dragon shield sleeves are amazing and the best, but a lot of cards don’t really need them if you upkeep them; dragon shield is always used for competitive play for how much they shuffle and play with the cards. I would recommend penny sleeves or perfect fit sleeves to start out and when your collection grows, look into getting binders. Great video 🎉

Happened upon your video since I watch a lot of Pokemon TCG videos. I really enjoyed your video and reactions and thoughts as someone new to the hobby. You should definitely continue collecting. It's a cool hobby, just make sure and don't go overboard spending lol ripping packs can get pretty addictive. Crown Zenith is a great set to start with and I think you joined just in time. The new generation base set is about to release with some big changes. Look up Pokemon Scarlet and Violet TCG set. Hope you have fun collecting!

I’m sure one of these other comments explains but since I didn’t see it and so many comments just in case someone didn’t, here ya go! Also loved the video hope you continue to do more would love to watch. Once you flip. Always starts with energy. Then have your common, uncommon cards. Second to last card is a reverse Holo. This is when the card around the “picture” is Holo looking. However some sets like crown zenith have a special gallery collection. Can see in that book you pulled from the etb box. These galarian gallery cards in crown zenith will come in the reverse Holo slot. Then your last card is your rare pull or above. This is normally a basic rare, holo rare( holo is when the picture itself is holo) or your v cards vstar so on. Hope this make sense. Also the Emolga does have a reverse holo. In English if a card is a common or uncommon it’ll come with a reverse holo. If it’s a rare it could have a basic rare and reverse holo or it will have a reverse holo/ holo variant. Hope this is helpful in some way! Again excited to see what you add to your collection and potentially other shop trips!!! ❤

Refreshing take on card collecting. Other people have been too focused on the Big chasers, and anything else is worthless. Appreciation of the commons and regular foil cards is a good change of pace.
