What's amazing to me is this wonderful old tractor made life easier for the farmers. Glad to see it running, and I'm impressed with the startup, he made it look easy. Love the old iron, tractors, cars, ships, planes, anything old. Those folks worked hard to survive, made it easy for us.

My great-great-grandfather bought one of these for $1,000 in 1916. First tractor our family ever owned. My great-grandpa always talked about how much of a pain it was to start, and I can certainly see why.

So, not a good get-away vehicle then! Jokes aside, brilliant video this is. I have a 1903 curvedash Oldsmobile which also requires around 20 mins prep from cold to start and drive it. We need more youngsters like us to take interest in these historic vehicles if we’re to keep history alive for other who don’t have or can’t afford something old as a hobby. It’s so important to preserve history. Thanks for sharing this with us all! Peace and love from GB

We have one here on the farm that I haven't seen run since I was a kid . Always made me think I was gonna piss my pants when it ran ! Your video makes me want to go out to the barn and give her a try 😎👍

I purchased an old farm site turned into an acreage a number of years back and dug up a Titan hand crank while landscaping. It has a crack in it with a slight bend and the number *_1660 TM,_* an *_IHC_* emblem and the words... *_" Retard - Spark - Before - Starting "_* on it. Looks to be made from cast so could easily be heated, rebent and welded. Nice Tractor you have their and started easy and ran like a top. 👍 I have a couple of IHC's on steel as well a 15-30, and a 22-36... late twenties, early 30's and both run.

I would say most were used for plowing. This one was used mostly for belt work. I can tell because the drawbar holes are still nice and round and the wheel bearings are still tight. Plowing just beat the crap out of them.

Could you imagine using that for field work lol. Just imagine, at some point in history, a farmer traded in his horse for that, and was mighty proud to have it. He was like finally something that don’t require breaks, food, and I don’t have to clean up after it, and it won’t go lame lol.

Nothing like a 20 step process to get it started. Great video. The first tractor the Purdue research bought was in 1922 and it was a Titan 10-20. You've done a good job showing would it would be like to start and drive the tractor. Do you know how much were these tractors used to pull equipment in the field like a disk or plow or were they used more for stationary purposes? Jeff

Beautiful start up, on the first turn. I would call that a real treasure. I assume, since I saw no fresh paint, and did see a good bit of rust, not much has been replaced on it.

They were made to be more than just a tractor they actually used them to run other equipment. Like a saw mill my grandfather had ! They used leather belts . Could run water pumps and all sorts of stuff.

Hello, did you know that titan has been produced in Poland since 1922 under license by the Ursus brand. It was the first tractor produced in Poland, about 100 pieces were created, unfortunately only a few survived to this day.

Built in the days when engineers used slide rules and allowed for greater factor of safety when designing engines because they really didn't trust the materials. "Does that web look thick enough to you? Hell, no - put another 1/8" on it.! Build it big, build it strong and put plenty oil on it. This was before computer design and profit margins.

Iv'e heard many hunters say, "Dumb farmers" when they wouldn't let them hunt on their land. Knowing they have no Knowledge of crop rotation, animal husbandry or how to start and use a fucking tractor, let alone a team of horses. I was raised on a dairy farm but know how to harvest white tails and any other animal that lives in Upstate New York. I was raised in a different time.
