Almost nothing can stop the old Fiat 903 cc engine... And the fact that you still can drive a Panda in that condition, says a lot to the strenght of the car.
Here in Italy, the old Panda has the reputation to be mules. There still a lot around, expecially of the ones made after the 1986. As they are reliable, easy and cheap to fix. And the 4x4 still have quite a good evaluation (nothing less than 5000€) for cars which are not meant to be kept in the garage, but to be used on mountains, on muletracks, as a working tool. And it does a better job than most of bigger 4x4 of any era.
i have 2001 4x4, everything is right, apart for the "cheap to fix", because they're becoming "vintage cars" people are already raise the prices for parts
@@Davide0033 here in portugal i bought my 1000cc fire for 2200.. 1700 would be fair cose it had some problems but i can say ive took this car to places that i swore it woudnt come out and it did really easy and no its not the 4x4
in brazil this car is called fiat uno and its a legend/meme in car culture, some says it was seen beating vw jettas and civics and going 200+km/h, and it a beater beater too, thing is a beast

Greetings from Spain... As other people have commented, the fact that this car works and you can drive it in the state it is in indicates that despite being an economical vehicle it was very tough and with proper care it could last for many kilometers and years...

This is a Panda 45 first type 1980/84. In Italy it is a legend, I love this car (I have a Panda 30). It's nearly impossible to find one of them, now, in decent condition, because of rust, the main issue of these Panda first type. Dear Flexiny, I hope you save the engine of this Panda... And other good parts. These Panda are very different from Panda built after 1985 and original body and interior spare parts are very expensive and difficult to find. Greetings from Italy. I love all your videos. Giuseppe
Poor little Panda. Not surprised at its condition after 17 years in a bush but she still fired up and ran, just very grumpily. 😂 A shame it’s almost certainly done for with all that rust, early ‘80-‘85 Pandas are nearly completely gone now.
@@cerrystyle Oh I believe you that they are still more common in Italy, I meant here in Britain they are no longer seen anymore. Glad to hear they’re still around in Italy though. 👍
This car is already a legend, I always liked its shape and especially when it was in 4x4, this small car is very good, for obstacles, already because it is compact and it fit almost everywhere, it's a shame that there aren't so many of them anymore, otherwise great video as always 😁
Incredible, this Fiat abandoned all these years works easily in a few attempts, proving that he is a warrior-killer, congratulations on reviving him....💯💯💯
Poor Fiat Panda. I feel sorry for this car that the owners neglected it so much. I have never seen this car model and there are probably very few of them in the world. But despite how bad the sheet metal and the whole chassis are, this little car still has the will to fight and drives. Simply amazing. It's nice that you washed it and you could imagine a little what it used to look like. To bring it back to the road condition, you need a lot of welding and all the art, if not the replacement of individual elements. Is beautiful. If someone made it and lowered it on larger rims, it would be just a miracle on wheels. What are you going to do with it? Thanks for helping this car 🤍
I've been waiting to see this little guy since I spotted him in another video. I was not surprised he fired up easily, and the body hasn't completely dissolved. No surprise the electrics don't work either. 😄 I had a 1987 mk2 pamda with the FIRE engine. I've always loved these little cars. Great work.😊
I have the same engine in my first car a long long ago. a fiat 850. give it only a bit of love and it never let you down. This poor Panda still have a happy Healthy soul inside
I had exactly this model, in Italy was very popular but had "luxury" seats: Panda 45s. Still sold in better conditions after 10 y that sat outside, but in Italy there were less rust.
I believe that there’s almost no car which is beyond restoration! It is only a question of how dear is it to your heart ; how much money are you willing to spend on it?!
I thought this panda will be extinct after the pressure washer. No stuck alternator, clutch is fine, etc. So many things that could go wrong did not. Amazing, thanks.
Love it, literally falling apart as you drove it yet not giving up. Love the Mk1. I just picked up one of the last 4x4 Panda Cross models being sent to the UK. Always loved its Twinair 2 cylinder
Another great video, especially liked this one because I had one exactly like this 25 years ago, those fire engines were absolutely great little units, but the body is no surprise!
@@predragv.365 945cc, on Panda. The strange thing, is the double-body carburettor with automatic choke.....on Pandas was available only single body with manual choke
@@zimone89 945cc never existed! There were the 650cc 30hp, 903cc 45hp and the 965cc 48hp for the 4x4. For the northern European market the 850cc 34hp was available instead of the 650cc
I feel sorry for this little Fiat after seeing where it had been left to sink into the ground for nearly two decades, and the rust damage it suffered as a result. 😢 But I truly admire its heart and spirit for its willingness to run and drive once again regardless of the condition it is in! ♥It definitely deserved a far better fate than the people who abandoned it in a field like that. 😢
unbelievable: a little service on fuellines and ignition, this cute little Panda fires up as it would run the last time 3 days ago =). even idle is ok, wow. carburated cars aren't as bad as often said. the moment you lost the exhaust i was laughin' heartily, but it's a miracle that the body didn't collapse in this condition. opening the right door could tear this poor thing apart i thought. when you're pressurewashing the Panda i was afraid that you could blast holes in the sheet-metal, but after finishing the washing i felt somehow lucky. as always: a great vid, flexiny, no unnecessary words, only useful informations and a good, solid work. after my hard and disappointing day this vid makes me calm and smilin' =)
I have an early one, never kept in a garage and has no rust at all, it has over 300.000km and still works nicely. They're quite good for what they are...
You must be living in a warm, southern country, i guess... I have a late 1st generation Panda from 1986 in great condition and those are very rare in germany, where i live. Most of them rusted away after a few years...
@@riejurv50 Mine was built in spain aswell and it's a Fiat. Before i had two Seat Marbella and was looking for another one. But i found the Fiat and it was so good in condition, i had to buy it.... 😅
I couldn't help but laugh when you opened the bonnet (hood in the US) and the reinforcement just stayed in place. Reminded of that episode of Top Gear when they did British Leyland cars, one of the presenters opened the car door and the whole door card remained in place! 🤣
One of the earliest pandas with off set slat grill and it had the little 903cc indestructible fire engines but poor little thing that floor pan wow thought the body and chassis were separated. Awsome video flexiny shame the panda couldn't be saved but she's to far gone I'd expect.
Dear Sirs, thankyou so much for a wonderful video - it was great to see the Panda enjoy one last adventure! What an amazing car! The parts from this MK1 (1979 - 1985) are now very rare, it would be wonderful if you could help other Panda enthusiasts when you have finished with the vehicle. Keep up the great work, hopefully you can find another Panda very soon! Thankyou. P.s the red dots on the speedometer are to tell the driver the optimum revs at which to change gear.
How wonderful to see a resurrected panda! In 1978, Fiat arrived in Brazil and brought this engine to equip the first Brazilian Fiat, called the Fiat 147. It sold a lot, a lot and the following year it was also found, running on ethanol, gaining a reputation for being very durable and economical and There are some still running today, register! Big hug, Rio de Janeiro!
weird, here in italy we don't hear people that say that they rus a lot, we just hear people saying how good they are and how they're pretty much unstoppable
@@AnItalianGuyOnYT It depends on what they use to defrost the roads. In my country they use salt so many cars suffer from rust and after winter ends you can see these cars in body shops to get the rust removed.
Flat panda sitting there for 17 years poor vehicle needs loving pull out of vehicle as possible and work on it battery full detail inside and out awesome video friend best mechanic in the world keep bringing new videos
I had a 1986 upgrade Fiat Panda 1000CL with the 999cc FIRE engine and I loved the little car. It was the only car I've ever own that never failed a MOT. The biggest drawback was rust on the door panels, and I replaced every panel while I had it including the bonnet and tailgate! Another major irritant was the clutch cables tended to brake so I always carried a spare. The cables were however easily replaced even at the roadside in about 20minutes! The non servo brakes were also a issue the pads had to be replaced frequently(at around half worn) but again were easy to work on. It was a nippy little car that was cheap but cheerful, fun to drive, looked nice and had excellent fuel economy, but the seats were a bit uncomfortable in long journeys.
In Malaysia we call it fiat PUNTO popular in 1970s ...! Flexiny # you got to canabalised parts from other car , the front both ball joint , engine mounting , exhaust system complete set , skirting all round plus bumper OSO FRONT BOOTH , flush all fuel filter , brake , engine oil n filter , coolant , and new light yellow colour with stripe * VEDAFONE * ...for town use ...excellent ...! FIAT, LANCIA an AR were create a lot of exellent cars, but most of them undeservedly forgotten. For example: did you ever seen the FIAT Palio Mk.2 hatcback with the brasilian engine? )
Your videos in their simplicity are very beautiful and give me a good feeling that I have not seen anywhere else, and your skill is very pleasant and calm and overall excellent my friend.. 🙏😎✌️
Felicitaciones
Im amazed how good the bodywork is after all that time. I just got my Dads old car back which has stood 10-15 years. Got her running, next is new tyres n check brakes.

Great video,. One of the problems with the Fiat brand is rust. But this car after a long time and it is abandoned is very bad. Though the engine still works. Sincere greetings to you video maker. I am following you from Algeria 🇩🇿
Another great warrior brought to life again. Its a shame the amount of rust that it has, but as a project car if you can weld, it can be a good car if is well mantained and rust-proofed. Here in Spain still are a lot of units, its not rare to see one almost every day (the SEAT Panda/Marbella version, although are some FIAT too), and the 4x4 version is very well appreciated, especially for rural areas and mountains. Also has in Spain a van version, called SEAT Trans or SEAT Terra with cargo cabin that is not rare to see too.
