I have no idea when the mask became a political thing. The bottom line with me is I just don't wanna catch the virus & possible die. I have SLE lupus and my immune system is crap. I don't need to worry about your germs too. BTW I always look forward to your videos! Can never get enough of y'all ❤

The CDC has even said the mask won't keep you safe, the mask is to keep other people safe from you and your germs. So in a room full of masked people, you're much safer than you are in a room full of unmasked people. I think it may help you a tiny bit, but it's mostly to keep your germs to yourself.

Jennifer Salazar ok there’s no need for the attitude. i didn’t say don’t wear one. the purpose of them is to prevent you spreading germs, it’s not going to stop you breathing them in. So I will keep thinking that. Because it’s that’s constantly talked about on the news and all over the internet by health professionals 👍🏼

Thank you so much for encouraging mask use. I think, for all Americans' pride in being individualistic, once people see enough people around them wearing masks, they'll start to feel weird without them. I think we've all spent so much time inside on Zoom and watching TV, only seeing faces in situations where people don't need to wear masks, that it still looks a bit weird to some. That's why I've thought it's fantastic for weeks that you've been normalizing it on your social media and leaving in the vlog the moment when you get back in the car and take your mask off. So thank you so much. Now I'm going to go eat another cookie for you! ❤️

I just wanted to say thank you. I have lupus and ive been trying to tell people, its not a political thing, its just a nice human thing to do to protect other people like me. my medications suppress my immune system, lupus in 50% of people naturally suppresses their immune system. I appreciate the support and the kindness for mentioning it on ur platform xx ps. ur stunning!! pps i wish i could wear a cute mask, im stuck with an n95 or kn95 end they are ugly lol

Me too, not lupus, but cancer and other autoimmune diseases. It's just exhausting. Luckily I live in the Bay Area so people here are pretty chill and are wearing masks. So. Calif. on the other hand...oy vey!

Ashley none of yo business there’s present proof that masks are effective. Even if it’s minuscule, there is no harm to you or others by wearing a mask. It’s not inconvenient. All other countries have decreased their number of cases and have flattened their curve, while the U.S is skyrocketing and is worse now than it was when it first came here. Other countries had mask mandates, people who listened, lockdowns, etc. Masks work and you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by wearing one in public or in places where you can’t socially distance.

It's truly so odd that wearing a mask became connected to politics in America. I understand why but it simply didn't in other countries. Here in Australia, you wear one to be extra safe, if you're in an outbreak area, or if you have a compromised immune system. Nothing political about it. I truly feel for the families who have lost their loved ones too soon during this horrible outbreak. 😔

Thank you for talking about masks. It's silly that it has become a political thing. It's just courtesy and common sense. Like it's the very least you can do to not be an asshole. Sorry. I get heated on the mask topic. Thank you. I love the Disney masks. I wanted to buy some but back when they were on pre-order I didn't want to wait. I have some masks from Lucky brand and Reformation. Plus I got a few at Target the other day.

Totally agree. No politics just being conscious of my family and friends to wear a mask when out. Look I am a hs teacher to, I am afraid to go back to school in September. I do not want to get sick or my own kids to get sick. I totally get wearing a mask. You can honestly kill someone if you have covid and are asystematic. People at dying and all ages not just older people or pre existing conditions anymore. This virus is ridiculously harsh. Be safe. On a happier note I love your new mask. Adorable ❤️❤️. We’re doing bad in my county in California and this doesn’t stop people from gathering and throwing parties. Thanks for your views on masks. I work with the public and have to wear them but deal with people who come and don’t wear them. A mask is just a small part to keep others safe so I don’t know why it’s such a big deal.

I am living in a province where we have not had any cases of Covid 19 for 41 days. We have no active cases. Blessed is an understatement. I still wear a mask in any public place. Why people don’t I will never understand. We all have to do our part. That’s it

From what I hear from friends and family back home, you’re one of the few. Hopefully the new case today (yesterday?) helps remind people not to get complacent. It’s fine to live your life, but a mask is such a little thing you can do to reduce the overall risk.

Everyone in our area of the Bay Area (California) wear a mask out in public. We finally saw my dad (who lives in Placer County-Lincoln CA) last weekend, and my husband was picking up food to take to him, and someone (a man) yelled from a pick up truck "baa-baa, why are you a sheep wearing a mask". I am so thankful to live where I do. Good for you for caring and wearing a mask!

Wearing masks is great but I see SO MANY people constantly touching their face which defeats the purpose of wearing a mask. So let’s not forget wash your hands, use hand sanitizer especially after pumping gas and things like that, and don’t touch your face. That in combination with a mask is what will protect everyone better I hope.

I don't think wearing a mask should be a debate. And honestly, it should be better enforced. We went to walmart to get groceries and they literally have a sign that says masks are REQUIRED to enter the store, yet people still don't or take them off inside and employees don't say anything. My boyfriend spends at least 60 hours a week at work wearing a mask in a hot warehouse with fans that barely work and he never complains. There are people who have asthma who still wear masks. Getting COVID is more life-threatening to them than wearing a mask for 1 hour at the store.

You can only put one lemon rind in the garberator at a time. I found that out the hard way. Turns out they’re very fibrous. 🤪 Please tell us if your new patio furniture is comfy after a couple of hours. They are super cute! Preach about masks. To me, not wearing one is a huge sign of self centeredness. I love how adventurous Grant is in the kitchen!

I must have been lucky with mine! I can shove things down my garbage disposal all day, everyday. And if it seems like things are getting stuck, turn off the disposal, fill something biggish (like a bowl), then turn the disposal back on with water running and dump the bowl. It "floods" the tank and loosens up anything that needs loosening.

Fixing a garbage disposal 90% of the time is so easy! I hope that you had an amazing anniversary. Also you looked so so pretty in that red shirt with your gold chains. Girl. Let's be real you need to wear that color more often. Also I live in Michigan and unfortunately we're kind of doing some backpedaling right now. It really sucks how some people just refuse to take things seriously. I've been back at work for almost two months and I just hope my coworkers know how important it is to be safe after hours😷.

The virus doesn´t care about our rights or freedom, good on you Leigh Ann, wearing a mask is the nicest thing we can do right now for everybody´s sake...my sister is a nurse and she recommends we use washable cloth masks with an internal pocket where you can insert a filter...coffee filters, gauze, even panty liners can be used as a filter...

Laughed so hard at "thanks, I love you, ouch". Good luck!!! Also, thank you, I'm so glad to see you normalizing mask wearing. I luckily live in an area that is quite pro mask, but it doesn't take very long to get far enough away to find the instances of mask wearing going down considerably and it makes me sad that people will suffer because of it. It's a simple thing that at worst will inconvenience the wearer and at best could save someone's life. 💖

Thank you for mentioning wearing masks. I have asthma aand my youngest son has down syndrome so his immune system is rocky. We have been in quarantine since February. My oldest son works for HEB so i worry A Lot that he is safe at work esp if customers do their part and wear their masks it keeps him, his coworkers and their families ( US) for when they go home they dont bring the virus to us that are not in the best health or even if you are but at least the spread doesnt keep going. So. Wearing a mask is the smallest and easiest thing to do to help save lifes. Its a chain reaction. People wear masks. Stops the spread. Hospitals/Medical workers also stay safe and can hopefully sooner than later stop this virus. So PLEASE if you go out shopping. Please wear a mask and think of the workers and their families. You may be healthy but the ppl around you might not have families that are. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

You can use a pizza cutter and drizzle some oil on the tortillas put them in the over and make chips/nachos.

As a European currently in the US I have found the response to the whole Covid situation quite interesting to say the least. It's funny how things that we European would consider so basic, like guidance by health experts, can be so easily contested by such a large group of people in the US. But I suppose the numbers speak for themselves now... 🤷‍♀️ Anyway, thank you for reminding the people to do the right thing. (you gotta do the right thing, do the right thing baby 🎵 sometimes I turn into a musical lol)
