are you serious? this is the sweetest thing I've ever read. thank you so much for keeping us in your thoughts and enjoying all those cookies for me. also please tell her I said hello and a big thank you too ❤️🍪 I want to be a great mom like you one day.
@@leighannsays yes! We watch your videos on the big tv together. And she loves feeling like she is helping you become a momma! You are going to be such an amazing mom! ❤❤ We will keep the cookies going and keeping you in our thought 😁
holy cow this made me cry! 💜😭💜 that's so sweet. Leigh Ann has fostered such an amazing community of people. I don't know you, but all my best to you and your daughter. 💚🌼
I think with IVF the process is already so unconventional that you miss out on a lot of “normal” pregnancy experiences. So not knowing the gender is one of the few things left that you still can control so I personally would choose not to know the gender. I feel like I’d be gettin at least one thing I can control in the process where most things are way out of my control.
@@leighannsays or you could do whatever you want because at the end of the day it's a personal decision and you know what you'd be comfortable/happy with.
It is a super hard decision. I would have to know, if there was something to know I would need to know it! For what its worth, I found out the gender of both of my babies (both girls ❤) at the 20 week scan and it made it so much better for me and easier to bond. The birth is still amazing and exciting and magical even if you know the gender, there is no wrong decision in my opinion ❤
The Softness In Grant's eyes when you are speaking about your fertility struggles at the end of the video was everything🥰, I melted for you & as heartbreaking as its been at times I see your love for each other growing so deeply throughout this experience. All the best to you☮💖🍪🍪💫💫💫
Grant is about to buy matching boots to those packing cubes LOL What a great color! SENDING YOU TWO ALL THE POSITIVE VIBES ❤ YOU GUYS GOT THIS!! So happy to hear the embryo was healthy!
for my first pregnancy, i didn’t want to know. but with my second, my husband and i wanted to know so we could share with our oldest. also a little IVF story of my husband’s side of the family. he has a cousin in florida tried for years to have a baby. finally got 2 good embryos, had 3 babies 😆!
I have a similar story, my aunt and uncle were trying over 12 years, multiple different doctors and stuff, back then ivf wasn't done in our country so they had to travel for it, transferred one embryo and got identical twin girls 😄
My husband was the same way with his food. He was so OCD about keeping it separate I told him I was gonna get him some trays just like those. My Lupus sometimes makes me not motivated to do anything but get dressed and even that can be a struggle. Love the videos. You guys always make my day with them. Eating lots of cookies for you guys. By the way I got a meat masher after I seen you use it. I love it and so does my MIL. Thanks for showing it to us.
I'm going to ball my eyes out the day you announce your pregnancy.. just thinking about it is giving me that lump in my throat.. It's going to happen for you guys, and I'm here for it.
LOL my husband is the same as Grant, who wants to unpack immediately when he gets somewhere and immediately when he gets home, meanwhile i live out of my suitcase for months hahaha! 😩
The bromeliad will push pups until it is completely dead. It's up to you how many you are willing to take care of. They make great gifts for plant people though, or anyone really since they don't require a lot of care.
I dont think I've ever been this early! Hiii Leighann!!! :) :) Love you and Grant's relationship and love your videos!! I haven't watched the whole video yet, but stay strong!! You guys are strong enough to pull through anything and everything :) God Bless!!
Estrogen fluctuations can cause dry eye. Hormones basically, thyroid, and estrogen for two. Gone through it, going through it. Hormones just affect everything! It may pass, but then it may come again. You could google estrogen and dry eye, but it won't make it go away!
I have that exact plant. You want it to get indirect(SP?) sunlight and water it only once a month really, really good, but don’t let it sit in water. When I water mine, I do it outside and let it spend the day out there and bring it back in, in the evening. I also cut the brown stuff off if it’s too much. Also, mist the leaves about once a week if your air is dry. I hope this helps.🥰
That’s normal for your eyes to be dry while this is going on, I’ve worked in Ophthalmology for 27 years ask for plugs to be put in your lower eyelids that will help, and use a lot of artificial tears!
leighannsays yes ask them for punctual plugs, they don’t hurt at all! I have had them myself for many years because I live in the dry desert. You can google it
I just had the punctual plugs put in. It was an easy procedure and all I felt was a bit of pressure. I haven’t had them in long enough to say if they are making a difference, but I’m hoping! Another thing my eye dr had me do was to switch from the regular artificial tears drops to the gel version. It’s thicker and seems to stay in longer. I love the Refresh brand!
I second the plugs! I also have Lupus (SLE) I’m not sure if it’s related, but I’ve suffered from severe dry eyes for quite some time now, and the Dura plugs have helped the most. I just had them replaced as my old ones fell out (that’s normal). Also, they recommended using single use vials for eye drops, as they don’t contain preservatives and are best when you have dry eyes. They are a pain in the sense you can’t re-cap them (because o can get several uses out of one vial) but I actually combat that with the plug to a syringe. Grant should be able to get his hands on one, I’m sure. They come in the small TB syringes. I hope this helps! 💗
I have two boys and didn’t find out the gender until they were born. It’s not for everyone, but it’s the most amazing surprise of your life. It honestly drove everyone else more crazy than it ever bothered me.
Not sure if anyone else commented on the plant ends that are browning but I heard that happens when you use tap water and you should instead use filtered water. Disclaimer, I am not an expert lol. Good luck
Brown tips can mean root rot. They all need very good draining pots so keep an eye on that. Also let them dry out between waterings. They’re all beautiful!! 🥰
My husband (aka my plant reviver) will usually take off the one or two leaves that are dying. He says it’s so the plant can focus on new growth instead of focusing on repairing itself. He calls it a haircut 🙂
I think that's a corn plant. I bought one at Costco YEARS ago when my kids were little. I should say, I am horrible with plants, but that plant lived up until 2018!! I think I got it in the late 90's. And it got SO tall!! I don't know how it died. It just dried out and died. But I kept it in a corner that got sun but not direct sun and it seemed to thrive. Congratulations on the embryo news!!!! I'm so excited to be on this journey with you and Grant!!!
My TV has a channel that seems like it's nothing but Kitchen Nightmares!!! We bought new smart TVs and cut out cable, but now every time our bedroom TV somehow gets switched to broadcast, it's ALWAYS KITCHEN NIGHTMARES. I seriously don't understand 😂
I think it's a "Corn Plant" which is a type of Dracaena. I've never had one, but friends have and, if that's what it its, it is a really good houseplant. And your good news is great news to hear!
@@leighannsays you got it girl! I've been watching since you were filming the ballerina bun in your bedroom and your hair was brown. I know it's a bit weird because it's all online, but I feel like you are a kindred spirit and I love getting to see your sweet life, Grant, Luna, and your family. Ya'll are just good people. Big hugs and lots of prayers.
Corn plant. It is way too dry. It needs a really good soaking. Do this in a sink, shower or outside. Soak well and let water drain through. Water again...let it soak in and pour extra water out of saucer.
I also think it has sunburn based on the brown crispiness in the middle of the leaf and the browning is concentrated on the leaves that are nearest the window glass. Move it back a little during the peak summer days, perhaps?
Thank you!! I have a Coen plant too and I have been having the same exact issue with the leaves. I do have it on the counter by my back door and it makes sense because it is only on the one side. I am going to move it. Thanks Again!!:)
The plant is a type of dracaena. Generally they need humidity or the tips will brown and shrivel like that. I would recommend a humidifier near it or spritzing it everyday. Additionally, dracaena's are really sensitive to fluorine and chlorine in tap water. I would recommend keep a rain catch pale outside and watering it with the rain water instead of tap.
Ahh I’m never this early! Maybe I can catch you replying - Do you have a PO Box in Dallas? I made you something I’d love to send and I’m sure many others would love to send you some physical good energy boosts during this time 💛 Happy to hear about the embryo, hope your spirits keep lifting ✨
Obviously this is a pretty big decision for y’all to make. And of course I’m just giving my opinion. But if it was me, I would wait and find out when 🤞🏻 you get pregnant. I know y’all aren’t really big “hoopla” people, (if that’s even how to spell hoopla lmao) but you can be surprised and you could surprise your family in a fun way. Anyways, either way I’m so happy that your little embaby is looking good! Praying for your next cycle and hopefully your upcoming transfer!
“Picture this” says it’s a corn plant/dragon tree and that it’s mottling. “Picture this” is a great plant app. You just take a picture and it will tell you what kind of plant it is and what might be wrong with it and what to do.
HOOORRAAAAYYYYY!!!! What a way to end the vlog... with a hopeful new beginning!! Glory to God! Continued prayers to you both!! BT-Dub... heard Grant in the background enjoying the virtual bachelor party! haha! Glad it worked!
Hormones change your eyes. I totally get it. Since I got pregnant with my first I've had issue with my eyes, they have only gotten better in the last 6 months. I've resorted to daily contacts to avoid issues. 😏 Congratulations on your embryo! ❤️❤️
oof I didn't know that! I wish I could get daily contacts but so far all my eye drs have said it's not an option for me. I'm going back to a new one this week so my fingers are crossed 😅
@@leighannsays yeah I used to get really dry itchy eyes and it felt like there was dirt in them. My eye doctor would tell me it was from hormonal changes. 😑 Hopefully they work out for you even though you rock the glasses really well!
Plant babies...I'm smiling. Those glasses look so good on you. As you read this I'm hoping your day is wonderful. Grant looks so sleepy...yes a healthy baby in waiting...love ya both.
Pregnancy and hormones really affected my eyes- mine were super dry when I was pregnant and I went from 20/20 vision to needing to wear glasses full time, second pregnancy made my eyes even worse. Was told it hormonal and blood pressure changes 😭
I literally squealed when you were talkin about your mama bromeliad 💚🌿 maybe the problem plant is what you said, salt burn, or sunburn? Ive toasted the same plant before. Plants are great, you're great! 🍪
Dracaena 'happy plant' I think, I have an itty bitty baby one and it really didnt like the sunnier spot I had it in and now it seems happy in a lower light area (still plenty of indirect light). I also noticed some of my plants not liking touching windows/walls where air from the heater/cooler is blowing down...not sure if thats an issue but I wouldn't be suprised if it was burnt.
I love that you’re so open with sharing your fertility journey. It really helps those of us who are also struggling to feel not so alone. 💖 Such good news about the embryo! Keeping you guys in my thoughts 🍪
💋LeighAnn, You look beautiful in glasses. I go back and forth between contacts and glasses sometimes myself. Love you guys. Continued Blessings and Support. ~Love&Light💖Carli
Jealous watching you clean that bathroom mirror. I'm barely 5'0 tall. I can't wash any of my bathroom mirrors unless I climb up on the counter, even to reach the bottom enough.
I look forward to every single vlog so much and a big reason why is that I LOVE reading the comments, they always make me cry because everyone is so sweet. Sending you lots of positive vibes along with everyone else!!
Me: oh man Leighann reminded me I really need to clean.....meh ill do it later And repeat forever Also I bought the packing cubes way back when you first recommended them and they are a lifesaver! I hate packing so much and it really helps me so much! Thank you for sharing them! Also I ate a cookie sandwich for you so like double the luck and icing for extra luck 💜
When we get home from Aruba every year after 2 weeks, we don’t arrive back from the airport until like 1AM..As soon as we get up the next day, I unpack everyone.
I have that same plant, and this plant has been my problem child since I’ve gotten it!! I know it’s a dracaena and I think it’s a type of dracaena massangeana “corn plant”. It’s honestly been the most temperamental of the plants I have, and has the same brown tips happening, I believe it’s because of a combination of a little too much light, and not enough water. From my “professional” googling, apparently water that has too much chlorine or fluoride in it can also cause it to brown. Hopefully this is somewhat helpful! 🤗
I send this with a lot of love in my heart- and it’s directed at anyone who is reading the comments who doesn’t support pro-choice for women. During IVF an egg is fertilized, and creates an embryo/s. Those embryos are sometimes frozen in perpetuity, and sometimes discarded if there are too many. And yet there is no outrage surrounding IVF treatments. Please, if you’re reading this and supporting Leigh Ann as I am, understand that you can’t support IVF and be pro-life without being a hypocrite. If you are outraged when pro-choices calls an embryo an embryo, but not when someone going through IVF- that is not logically consistent. I would just like to respectfully point out this often overlooked point of hypocrisy.
I think you might be very confused. There’s a huge difference between aborting a baby who has a heartbeat and not implanting some of your embryos. I find your comment so bizarre and out of place on this video-just wanted to let you know I am pro-life and I am doing IVF, it doesn’t mean at all what you think it does.
Balancing on a Budget the pro life argument is “life begins at conception” so if you are pro life then ivf is a no go. However there are new options for unused embryos. We are persuing embryo adoption as fertility treatments have not worked for us. However, clinics will only accept tested and high quality embryos so there is still a handful of embryos that will be disposed of. And personally I see no difference. Many times a fetus has a heartbeat before mom even knows she’s pregnant. And “heartbeat” does not equal living. If that was the case then we wouldn’t pull the plug on adults. I agree this may not be the best place but it’s important to know. Part of ivf is also reducing the number of fetuses as often times you end up with multiples or you implant multiples to increase your odds. You then end up reducing the number and choosing only the healthiest. It’s extremely common. So in these cases it’s the exact same as aborting a fetus with a heartbeat.
Balancing on a Budget Hi! I’m very aware of what IVF means. It is not at all uncommon for pro-lifers to aggressively defend conception as when life begins. And I agree! That is, in fact, the biological definition of life. When sperm meets egg. And what is IVF, if not that? It is not at all uncommon for fertilized eggs (which have unique DNA- they are absolutely a developing human) to be developed into embryos. If there are too many, which is not at all uncommon, they remain frozen and stored, or, if the parents so wish, are disposed of. I’m curious as to why you think it’s okay to terminate development of an embryo during IVF, but not if a woman chooses not to be pregnant?
Regan hi there! Embryo adoption is amazing and I wish you all the best! I understand that you see no difference, and you are right - most of the time when women find out they are pregnant the baby already has a heart beat! Of course a heartbeat means you’re living, that’s why when people are taken off of life support there is a time of death-and that time is when their heart stops beating. I understand that people want to believe an unborn baby is not a human child but I believe science shows that it is. A lot of people in the pro-life movement believe life starts at conception and when a baby is conceived the normal way that may be true however an embryo frozen in a lab is never going to develop unless implanted in a uterus. There is a very big difference between not implanting an embryo and injecting a fetus with poison for it to dye and then removing it and/or dismembering it before removing it sometimes still alive. There is a clear difference between doing that and simply leaving embryos unused.
HOORAY!!! I've been praying and praying for your little sweet embryo!!! I'm so happy they're healthy! That's such beautiful news and so positive and wonderful. I agree with others that you're adorable in glasses so if the contacts are an issue, ditch them until you figure it out, we won't mind any glare. And lastly...You have FINALLY convinced me to get the meat masher and an electronic crock pot. I've got Non-Traditional Instruction coming up for my little one in a few weeks and we're going to need lunches that we can both eat. He loves spicy anything, so the burritos are going to be the first thing I make. Love you. Still eating cookies and praying and doing all the things. 🍪🍪🍪🍪
I love hearing your IVF updates! My husband and I are having fertility issues and have slightly discussed doing IUI and IVF. Super helpful hearing your story! Thanks for being so open about everything 💛💛
I’m so glad y’all got good news from the embryologist!! That’s fantastic! I think a lot of us have days when we’re just generally unmotivated, blah, etc.. It’s hard to be motivated to clean when you aren’t expecting any visitors. And life is pretty slow right now as we try to stay home more and aren’t having as much time with family and friends. It’s funny, on the days when I do go out to run errands it seems like they exhaust me more than they used too. Same goes for talking with friends on Zoom or over the phone. 😕
hey! I linked the packing cubes in the description here and in my newest video. idk if the confetti version is still available but they have a bunch of other color options.
That would definitely be a hard decision. I can’t even imagine. I don’t think I’d want to know before the transfer. Maybe have them write it down, and keep it in an envelope, until you’re ready to know. Praying for an amazing second retrieval, and a successful transfer! 💕🤞🏻
Absolutely ❤️ the vlogs. The hormones can definitely cause your eyes to be dry. Have you tried cleaning your contact lenses with the Clear care Plus solution. Sometimes they get super grimy this refreshes them and makes them hydrated if can’t get daily ones. Might help a bit when you have to wear them.
I'm so glad to hear the genetic results on your embryo came back great! I personally would want to find out the gender, but I'm a planner, so there's that. I'm very supportive of parents who decide to be team green and not find out until the birth, but that's not for me. My brain just doesn't work that way. I'm currently 19weeks + 3days and my anatomy scan is in exactly one week. It's driving me crazy not knowing! This week is going to feel like an eternity.
That plant you thought was dying around the 16 min mark actually dies off after flowering and there is nothing you can do to stop that, but before it dies it does put out pups which then take over the pot and the cycle starts again :)
I love the style of those glasses I tried them in a home try on and they looked so strange on my face but there still so pretty lol But they give you a teacher Leighann look 😂 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️✌🏻👽💁🏼♀️ and omg that song you were singing my husband would sing that all the time 🤣🤣🤣 I cant believe someone else knows it 👽
I so appreciate that you share a range of emotions, even though you come across (to me) that you are generally a positive and thankful person it is nice to see that some days are just harder than others. I have been watching your channel since about 2014 and the honesty is what keeps me emotionally invested. Here's to more good days than hard for your future.
I got the shower cleaner you recommended after your last bathroom cleaning video. OH EMM GEE!! It is AMAZING on my cobalt blue tile shower! Thank you. 🎉🎉
I have monthly’s too but my dr gives me enough prescription to get enough to change it every two weeks! Best thing to do, I didn’t have any issues for years but now if I go to long they bother me
FYI - Since Covid-19 we as courts in Texas have to stream our court hearings on RU-vid via Zoom. You can Google "OCA Texas and RU-vid directory" and it will bring you to the Texas RU-vid list for Texas courts and show you if they are currently streaming. Mine court RU-vid channel is Judge Joy Simonton. But my main point of this post is that at the end of July the Golden State Killer had a plea hearing that was about 5 hours long and it was streamed on RU-vid. I watched it and it was interesting, especially if you know about the case and listened to podcast. It wouldn't let me post the link here but go to RU-vid and look up "OrangeCountyDA" (California, not Texas of course; I say this because I'm located in Orange County, Texas, which is how I found this specific channel). Go to videos and it is titled "The People of CA v. Joseph James DeAngelo, 6/29/2020." I hope you enjoy!
