For your first time you did great I messed up my cousins hair with his dreads my first time.. u know you did bad when they never asked you again🤣😂🤦🏿♀️
Hey KnockOuts! I used the Tropical Root Locking Gel to Loc his hair (LINK IS NOW IN THE DESCRIPTION 😘). If you want to see what that product looks like I used it in the 4 month retwist video (I showed it in that video).
@Crystiana Edwards The 1 month retwist video was the first time I retwisted his hair. The forth month video was just when I showed the product I used (because I kept forgetting to show it).
I hate BLACK MEN with LOCS like BLACK MEN are NOT NASTY enough because these NIGGA'S never WASH their HAIR and they smell like SHIT but they always want to talk about the BLACK WOMEN'S HAIR at LEAST weWASH it and WEAR hairstyles that are APPEALING to the opposite SEX.
You did that Sis... My son wants me to do his. I am glad I saw how you did it with a comb and advised that you keep hair damp. The comb seemed to stretch the hair. My son's hair is super thick and curly so this video helps.
i love how you did especially for the first time...i want to learn how to do this on my boyfriend's hair...can you please do a step by step tutorial on how to do these dread twists? would really appreciate it. :)
You did a great job. Im not locked but I have a similar hair texture. He should have no problems with his hair budding. Keep us updated on how his hair does
You did a great job!!!My son would like his hair dreaded like this. I see how simple and easy it is. Thanks for sharing and providing what type of products you used on his hair. That was going to be my first question😊🙌🏾
@@chiquilaberry5668 My hair is the definition of untamed...even when I use relaxer,it finds it way back to it form😂...it's afro now, and I'm planning to get a dreadtwist soon.
Subbed. Coils look great. Similar story here. I couldn’t find a loctition near me that I wanted to use so my wife started and maintains my locs as well. I’m a month and a half into my journey
Goddess Red Johnson i use design essentials oat protein and henna, honey cream, and rosemary and mint conditioner. I also use loc wash and loc and curl from Damien Walter. And for gel I use tight hold from taliah waajid
Those are beautiful, well done locks!! I don't like the big, sloppy, I'll managed ones... I wish it didn't matter, but it really does! Thank you very much for sharing 😍😍😍😊😊
I heard someone say if you have thinner edges then locs may not be a good idea. What is your opinion on this? My hair is about the same thickness and length as his in the video.
It deeps on a number of things. Some people have naturally thin edges, but strong hair. If your edges are fragile, I wouldn't recommend any style that would cause tension to your hair. Hope this helps love.
Dope. I’m going to wait about a year before I do it. I used to have dreads years ago. Thinking about growing them back. I’m at an inch right now, but I rather wait until my hair it’s much longer. I hated the little warm stages lol. Great job though.
Maybe do real hair loc extensions if you dont want to wait? Thats what im doing all though my hair is all ready quite long ill be getting starter locs and permanent extensions and ill eventually just cut the extensions off.
It is very easy......I did my bfs hair just like this an I had never done coils before.....it’s been about 2+ months an I’m going to retwist them Thursday! I couldn’t see me doing them any other way ☺️
@TKLowe As a guy, do I need any extensions for dreadlocks? For a year now, my hair was in dreads, but braided. I would to like to learn how to do them on my own now. Any tips please?
_1990_babyface loc extensions would be used for locs which are more on the mature side, personally I wouldn’t recommend loc extensions because over time it can weigh down your hair and could possibly cause hair lost from the sheer weigh of hair extension at the end of your loc also it could make you locs lumpy and uneven if down incorrectly ; however, everyone’s hair is different so results may vary.
I start out natural but I didn't understand then I went in got the extension locs but then I went back to the natural locs had for 2years I believe I'm bless mines look nice as hell my own natural hair ....❤💋❤
U r awesome! Question. I am attempting to lock mine and they hv never been. Did i miss something? I saw that u shampooed & conditioned, but what did u put on his hair to keep the twist in place? Im Really ignorant to any of this sorry, jus working on a budget and bn using the curling sponge, but hair is too long and thick for that now.
Thanks. I used the Tropical Roots Locking Gel. I used that for his retwist also, but for his 7 month retwist I only used water and Ginseng Miracle Wonder 8 oil (to help reduce product buildup). A little of the locking gel goes a long way.
I used a tapered comb. And most people get their hair retwisted once a month. Some hold out a little longer. But I'd say that once a month is about average.
