Starting my BIGGEST crochet project yet (without crocheting) 

Nothing is more peaceful than zoning out and doing something artsy. Be that painting, crafting, woodworking, crocheting...all these things are something people consider to be "a waste of time" because they don't see the health benefits like someone who works out vigorously. But these things are so great for your mental health, and we need to stop acting like that isn't important.

What you call "1st year art student", I call better than I ever could do!!! Lol!! It is beautiful!!

I love that you enjoyed the process even though you're not 100% thrilled with the result. But perhaps you're just too close to the canvas... from the camera's perspective, your painting looks amazing! For the crochet bit, I'm seeing sand castles and seashells. Or an underwater scene? Or maybe nightime jellyfish.

I'm jealous! I cannot paint to save my life. I mean my stick figures are crooked. LOL But watching you enjoy it reminds me of how I felt when I went back to quilting/sewing. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed it and now I'm working on a project combining quilting and crochet because, like you, I'm also into mixed media. I can't wait to see how your project turns out. The painting portion is beautiful!
