im so glad ellie likes her job! i will say make sure to be very careful with keeping the resteraunt a secret and do not share her schedule!! the worst thing would be crazy fans or creepy people showing up while she working. again so happy for you ellie!!

I can't agree more with this. Based on what she shared I was able to find the restaurant in less than 30 seconds, so I really hope they are more careful.

for Ellie’s first car, here’s my suggestion: since she has some income from her job and the family channel, i would suggest talking with her about all the expenses that go into having a car (especially gas) and setting up some form of a “monthly payment”. the amount of the payment is up to you guys, but really emphasize that missing that payment isn’t an option, just like how a bank would. this is what my parents did when i was 16, and while i hated it back then, it helped me understand budgeting and responsibility, which helped me in the long run when i went to open up a credit card, and lease my own car.

yup mine wasn’t with a car, but when i finally bought my own phone (still under my parents plan) i HAD to pay it everytime on time, i could not miss it

I live in a small town, most people in this town have money so they buy there kids expensive cars. These kids don’t take care of the cars at all. Extremely irresponsible speeding. When I got my first job I saved up all of my pay checks for the first 6 months. It’s definitely a lot of discipline but I did it and I bought my first car. It wasn’t brand new but it got me where I needed to be 5 years later still have the same car & I’m in college now. Till this day buying my own car is the best thing I could have done. Thought me so much responsibility and how expensive things can be rather then having it handed to me

My first car was a 2007 Honda Accord. I got it when I was 15. I LOVED that car. By far the MOST RELIABLE car I’ve owned.

Hondas are great cars. I'm buying a honda pretty soon. Granted all cars can have issues, but Honda and Toyota have always had a good reputation with reliability.

I kinda sense that Ellie may be afraid to share her feelings and be vulnerable. Maybe from criticism or being made fun of for having them. I’d maybe work on being nicer with responses so she feels safe to open up. The coldness seems like a defense mechanism.

That's what my parents told me when I got my first car. They helped me with the down payment, and then I paid them back. And I paid my own car payment and car insurance. Definitely has taught me a lot of financial responsibility.

i have a 2019 toyota corolla, i got it when i turned 15 and learned how to drive in it and did my test in it of course! i’ve had it for 8 years and it is still a great amazing car and have had no problems!!

They have more respect for their children than other parents on RU-vid. She is a teenager. It’s very clear in the videos she does have an attitude. My life ain’t on RU-vid and when my parents first asked questions about my job I responded the same way.

You gotta be fully ready n mature enough for a car . She wants that complete freedom but needs to remember her age. Maybe a lil more growing up to do. Nothing wrong w that. But if its an argument now its only gonna get worse if u dont set up rules n if she doesn't follow. Than no vehicle. Trust me i know i watched my mom n sister go threw the same thing. But you got this i know. Its your daughter im just giving an outside insite since i have some experience w something like this. I waited til i was 18 bc i was terrified ptsd from my brother passing in a car accident. I couldnt see her first job being greeting n talking smiley to ppl hahaha. You know how teenager's are. Seeing the dog sitting up in that seat was too funny. Love you guys ❤

Proud of Miss Ellie she has grown so much in the past year proud of her! I still can’t believe she has her very first job already. Congratulations and I know that this job will help her a lot with her confidence and just be more social so very excited for her. Yes I agree. I think she should get her very first car but definitely you guys should talk as a family about the expenses the insurance, the gas and then to be able to lease as well. Because everything is unfortunately very pricey these days.

My first car I bought myself (I was a college kid with a big income so I was able to save a lot) she’s an older car, a 2014 ford taurus but I paid for her in full and I don’t have a monthly payment just gas..(since I’m still in school my mom takes on the insurance). Having a used car that’s slightly older with no payments really is a blessing. So I would go with a Honda or something that’s cheaper, she’d really learn to appreciate it being in high school and having it through college if she decides to keep something like it.
