This week I started unit 2 of the Solo Artist Curriculum: Perspective I. I worked mostly with draw a box, but I also started to study from Rapid Viz, by Kurt Banks and Harry Belliston.
I started with this unit instead of with figure drawing, I feel intimidated by figure drawing. So far I've enjoyed draw a box, it is repetitive but also i can already see improvements. The fact that I'll be able to intuitively draw a scene in good perspective is something that fuels me.
Starting with draw a box makes a lot of sense. I also incorporated draw a box to my unit 1 because I felt like I needed the perspective for the figures... I also completely understand that some units can be intimidating, but I think the curriculum helps a lot by showing us what steps to take. I wish you the best in your journey. Thank you for writing!
