My Beloved grandson was going to visit us two weeks ago and I asked him what he wanted for dinner. You will not believe what he asked for….lol…..I make him many Italian dishes as his father is Italian. I made Shrimp Scampi with Linguine. My husband picks him up from school in Miller Place and brings him here usually weekly. You did a marvelous job Mr. Kevin. I so enjoy the ambience in your videos. He was killed in an accident at the age of 22 - weeks before his graduation (construction management). Hello Kevin, I’m watching this on March 2nd. Dreaming of spring. Each winter our mother would go thru her seed catalogs planning what she would plant each spring. She would order them and when they arrived she would draw a map of the back yard and where each seeds went where. She loved the flowers and the vegetables! In the summer canning would begin in earnest! Thank you for the memories!❤❤❤

Your DIY greenhouses are terrific. I need to start my garden plants indoor, too. It's too early in my area to plant outdoors. Two days ago we had a "false spring." I actually laid down for a 3-hour nap. It was bright, sunny and 70. When I woke up it was 18 degrees and blowing snow and ice like a mini-blizzard. 😅

I’m in the process of painting my bathroom cabinets. They have had a light limed wash on them and feel they need updating. I’ve spent time sanding by hand and painting two coats of a beautiful sage green. I’m a bit of a perfectionist so I must stop now and then to rest and revive myself. That’s when I enjoy watching your channel. You do everything with such care and enjoyment. I admire that and approach my “jobs” around the house similarly. Thank you for sharing your time with us!

Kevin... when you sampled your pasta dish (by then nice and chilled to outdoor temps) you said you were sure "more frigid days are to come". Who could have predicted such a drop in temperatures only 3 days after you filmed your video. These sudden deep-freeze weather changes have killed off many of my outdoor plants over the years... and last year it was cedar hedges that we're still trying to deal with. I always think of this as I'm enjoying unusually warm winter days. As they say, there's a price for everything. With regard to the pasta dish, I've prepared that one many times, and the mistake I sometimes make is cooking too much pasta, which means the other ingredients become too sparse. I always make sure to cook less pasta...even if it doesn't seem like enough at the outset.

This channel demonstrates that it is still possible to live a modest life without sacrificing the enjoyment of basic yet delicious home-made meals.

Yay for winter sowing! Your videos from years ago are what got me started on it. I start 30-50 containers every year now.

While you were able to eat out on Monday in the valley, we in the Catskills were a bit chilly. I ho🎉that faux spring did not fool you.
