That was awesome. Watching Mark Petty work on the engine that his dad built pure awesome.

His collection of race cars as well as trophies, guns, etc is a must see at the Petty Museum in Level Cross NC. The King himself is there a lot and he’s one of the most genuine, nicest people I’ve ever met! I stop by every time I’m anywhere close to it.

It's as almost the car is talking and telling a story and saying I still have a lot of race in me

Went to the museum when I was 11 or 12 and got to sit in this car. I'm looking forward to taking my boys one day. Hopefully, while the King is still around.

my dad and i fav driver was Petty. i would give my left u know what to work there in the restoration dept.. my dream was to work in Nascar but ended up working as a tech,engine builder, machinist, fabricator and welder in the auto, diesel and drag race industry instead of Nascar. lol Wish my dad was still alive cause he would of loved this channel cause he loved everything about Richard Petty. that was his idol.

A big block Hemi. No 358 wimp motors here. I stood by a street hemi that was started at the Autofair in Charlotte and even with mufflers, you could feel the thump in your chest. Oohrah
